Trophy Roadmap:

Difficulty: 5/10.
Estimated time to Platinum: 12 Hours.
Missable trophies: None.
Glitched trophies: None.
Difficulty related: Yes.
Playthrough: 1.

Introduction:

Welcome to the Wolfenstein: The Old Blood Trophy Guide!
As prequel to Wolfenstein The New Order the game has very similar play style, feel and atmosphere. Making a return is the brutal game play we have come to expect A good mix of story, collectible and game play trophies give the game good diversity.

Roadmap:

Step 1: Finish the Main Story, Work Towards Perks, Collectibles, & Nightmare Levels
First step on the road to platinum is to finish the main story line. It is possible to finish the story on an easy difficulty then replay just the final chapter on Uber for Silver Uber Hero. If you’re up to the task you can play through the entire game from the start on Uber difficulty, however if you are just along for the ride or you want to get the platinum the fastest way possible just play on the easiest difficulty from the start, then replay the last chapter.

During your play through you want to work towards unlocking all perks. Stats towards perks can be viewed by pressing the touchpad and tabbing across to the perks menu. All perks stats are saved when you die, restart a checkpoint or restart a chapter which makes farming the requirements very easy. So, for example, when you find a point in the game that’s a good spot to rack up stealth kills, simply restart checkpoint and do it again. Progress towards perks also carries over to chapter select, so if you finish the game and still have a few perks that are locked, don’t panic as you can replay any chapter via chapter select and continue on unlocking.

Every chapter in the game has a nightmare level to be found, this includes the prologue. Nightmare levels are a flashback to the original Wolfenstein 3D. After finding their location, which is always a bed or mattress of sorts, you fall asleep and enter a “nightmare”. The nightmare being an original Wolfenstein 3D level in which you have to finish to be able to wake up. These have nothing to do with the main story and you can finish the entire game without playing one, but they are loads of fun and a great blast from the past for those that remember the original. You will want to find AND complete all nightmare levels as there are trophies associated with each one.

Collectibles, what game would be complete without them. You will have a total of 64 gold items and 10 letters to find. The vast majority aren’t that tricky, You will find video guides for every chapter showing all collectible locations under Gold Gold Master. Anything you miss during your first play through can be picked up with chapter select after completing the game.

As you progress through the game it is worth keeping in mind what is needed for unlocking the Challenge Maps, there are a few that have special requirements, all of which involve killing all enemies in an area before progressing. To ensure you unlock all the challenges first time round just make sure you kill all enemies you encounter, do not leave an area or move on in the story until you have eliminated everything. Unlocking requirements are listed under each specific challenge trophy description.

Finally, towards the end of Chapter 6, you will come to a point where you have the option of heading either left or right, both directions lead you to a character that needs to be save however there is a trophy for saving BOTH. You will have to replay the chapter to be able to unlock both trophies, see Bronze Kessler Saved and Bronze Annette Saved for more information.

Step 2: Clean-up – Get any Missing Collectibles or Locked Perks You’ve Missed
After finishing the game use chapter select to pick up any collectibles you may have missed the first time round. You will also have to replay Chapter 6 to get either Bronze Kessler Saved or Bronze Annette Saved depending on which way you went in your first playthrough. If you played through the game the first time around on a difficulty other that Uber, you will need to play chapter 8 again on Uber.

Step 3: Challenge Maps, a Gold Medal is Required in Each of the 10 Challenges
Challenge maps, these would be the hardest point in the game. The challenges involve replaying certain points in the game, this time you receive points for kills with a bonus for combos, head shots, explosive kills, thrown knife kills and stealth kills.

For each challenge there is a trophy for achieving a gold medal score which can only be done by playing on “I am death incarnate” difficulty or higher. At first glance this may seem a little daunting, but once you find a good strategy and know where the enemies will come from it makes it much easier.

Before you take on the challenges have a read in the tips and strategies section for some pointers, you will also find a video guide under each challenge map trophy description.

Tips and Strategies:

  • Time – There is a timer but it doesn’t affect the score.  Don’t rush it, take your time.
  • Head Shots – You will get a bonus each time you score a headshot so aim for the head on every enemy.
  • Explosive kills – You will get the same bonus points for explosive kills as head shots and on top of that throw a grenade into a group of enemies and you will get explosive bonus AND combo bonus. Use this to your advantage.
  • Long Range – Keep the enemies at a distance when possible, the closer they get the more damage they will do to you.
  • Stealth Kills – Stealth kills with your silenced pistol or throwing knives also give you a bonus, try to clean out a few enemies with stealth before setting off the alarm.
  • Commanders – Always leave at least one commander to the end as they will call in reinforcements which means more enemies, which means more points.  Commanders are only armed with a pistol which does very little damage to you, when you are setting up to kill a commander do not be afraid to just stand in front of them and line up a thrown knife head shot for the points.
  • Schockhammer Enemies – These are the medium size enemies that carry the schockhammer shotgun weapon.  They carry a gas tank on their back which, when shot, will explode giving you a chance to take out not only the schockhammer guy but any other unlucky guard in the area.

Chapter 8 Final Boss Fight:

  • The weak spot of the monster is its mouth, only shoot it here.
  • The monster is blind so it can’t see you, only hear your shots. Try to only shoot at the monster and not at the guards that spawn.
  • Use grenades to throw in the direction of the guards/zombies, the explosion will attract the monster and it will kill them for you.
  • Stay on the stairs, right next to the pillar on the left hand side, the monster can’t actually get you there.
  • You will find a video under Silver Uber Hero with a complete walkthrough of the final boss fight.

Research centre combat master
Achieve gold medal for this challenge map

During the Prologue you will come to a point where you must use a radio, not long after that a large number of enemies will start to appear. After clearing out all enemies a ladder will be dropped down for you to climb and this challenge will be unlocked.

The best method for this challenge is keep moving, do laps around the room picking off enemies when you get the chance.
Start the level by heading into the store room at the back and picking up some ammo and armor then do laps around the outside of the main room, there is more armor and health packs at the opposite end of the room from where you start, remember this in case you are getting low. Keep an eye out for the sniper enemies that stay on the top level.

A total of 11,300 points are required for the Gold Medal, always aim for head shots and a few combos will come naturally, you will get the required score after a few tries.

Prison docks combat master
Achieve gold medal for this challenge map

Unlock for this challenge can be missed, at the end of chapter 1 you will come to an area with a boat, by boarding the boat and pulling the lever the chapter ends. Before ending the chapter be sure to kill ALL enemies so as to unlock this challenge, a pop up will appear on screen saying you have unlocked it.

This is one of the most time consuming of the challenges, only due to the fact there is almost 50 enemies in the level. A total score of 29800 is required for the gold medal. The video guide below shows a good method of getting through the level with the required score.

Keep foyer combat master
Achieve gold medal for this challenge map

Unlock for this challenge is missable, at the start of chapter 3 be sure to kill all enemies in the area before going through the vents on the top level. A pop up notification will appear on screen when you have unlocked it.

A total of 24,500 is required for the gold medal in this challenge. The level can be broken up into a few phases, first you start on the bottom level and 3 enemies will appear, try to be at the door to the right of where you start to get knife head shots on the 2 guys that come out of the door. Once these 3 are done with pull the lever and a wave of enemies will come through the door that opens on the level above, go to the doorway on the left of where you pulled the level and take cover, enemies will pop there heads out here and make it easy to get headshots.

Once that wave is done with collect up ammo, health and armour and climb the stairs, another wave of enemies will appear on this level, deal with them and move to the top level of the foyer, be sure to pick up the grenade pistol rounds which are on the second level, up against the wall in the front corner.

The top level will see another wave of enemies including snipers and schockhammer carriers, use the grenade pistol rounds on the schockhammers, try to wait until there are other enemies around to get combo explosive kill points.

For this last wave if you stand near the mounted heavy MG and move from left to right looking down the hallways as they come towards you, try to get them at a distance as you don’t want them moving up to close and flanking you on both sides.
Once they are done run to the other end, open the hatch and the challenge is done.

Cable car platform combat master
Achieve gold medal for this challenge map

Unlock for this challenge is missable, during the beginning of Chapter 4, make sure you kill all enemies before boarding the cable car to leave the area. Check all the tunnels and stairs underneath for any stragglers. Notification will appear when you have unlocked it.

This challenge is made pretty easy by the fact that there is a great camping place in the game where the enemies will not shoot at you. Gather up armor and ammo in the tunnel where you start out, then climb the cement stairs to the top level and just shoot the first guard you see to activate the alarm. Now run back down below and look for a yellow ladder that will lead to a walkway above the underneath walkway, but not quite on the top walkway. Follow this to the end where it just drops away and sit and wait for the enemies to come running underneath you, you have a good view of the stairs ahead and can pick off anything that comes at you easily with head shots. Best bit about this spot is that most of the time the enemy don’t even shoot at you! A good walkthrough of this method is shown in the video below.

A score of 26,600 is needed for the gold, using the method described above, and shown in the video below, you will easily score over 30,000.

Caves combat master
Achieve gold medal for this challenge map

Another challenge unlock that is missable. Be sure , during chapter 4, to kill all enemies in the caves area of the main game to ensure this challenge unlocks

This is another of the challenges that can be broken into phases, 26900 points are required for the gold medal.

Start by getting stealth knife throw kills on the first 2 guards, move up and climb the wall on the right, take out the first commander with a stealth head shot with your pistol, there is a schockhammer carrier below, aim for his gas tank on his back to get explosive kill, this will trigger the alarm and 2 drones will fly in and enemies will come in from the left. Crouch behind the wall to protect from the enemies that will appear on the right and shoot the drones with your sniper rifle, once they are down take care of the other enemies, move through the tunnel and knife throw kill the commander, this phase is done.

Collect up ammo, health and armor and climb the wall to the next phase. Move forward to the small man made wall, crouch down so as not to be seen, move to the right and wait for the guards to meet then walk away from each other to get stealth throw knife kills on them both. Now move up the right hand side until it curves back around to the left and more enemies can be seen, depending on the situation try to get another stealth head shot or simply open fire with your assault riffle to trigger the alarm. From this vantage point you will see all enemies coming towards you and can pick them off with head shots, there will be grenades thrown at you but you can easily fall back to get out of the way.

Once all enemies coming at you are dealt with run across to the other side, make sure you run as there is a mounted MG at the top and an enemy will still be sitting on it waiting to get you. On the other side move around the bend to the other doorway where you can peak out and line up a head shot on the guy on the mounted MG, this area is now clear.

Search the area picking up health, ammo and armor making your way to the mounted MG at the top. When your ready use the mounted MG, don’t take it from the mount just jump on it and 2 more enemies will appear at the bottom of the area, get off the MG and line up head shots on these guy, try to get combo head shots on them both for the points. They will just be standing there so it should be easy.

The next phase can be done a few ways, when you move forward to the tunnel to the right a super soldier will appear, he will not move any further forward than the other side of the tunnel, so you can either use cover on the right side of the tunnel and wait for him to stop shooting then pop out and give him a few shots, keep doing this until he is dead. Or you could move forward using the schockhammer to fire at the light on his shoulder, do this twice and he will crouch down and you can melee him, he will stand so shoot his light 2 more times until he crouches again, melee him and he is dead. This is a quicker way but you will take more damage.

Once he is down move forward through the tunnel towards the wheelbarrow that can be seen in the corner, here there is health and armor if you need it, once you make it to this point quickly retreat back to the other side of the tunnel as 2 drones will appear. From back at the start of the tunnel creep forward until you can just see the bottom of a drone and shoot it with your sniper rifle, keep creeping forward and round the corner until you see the other drone and shoot it again, drones are now down. Move back to the wheelbarrow and just around the corner and you will be face to face with the commander, kill him with thrown knife.

From here it is possible to just run up the stairs, press the button on the lift and end the challenge but, more than likely, you will not have the required score for the gold medal, there will be another wave of enemies that appear when you go near the button to end the challenge. From where the button is you have a perfect vantage point on the enemies approaching through the tunnel, simply pick them off as they run through. Use everything you have left, grenades and pistol grenade rounds to get explosive kill points as this will be the last wave of the challenge.

Once you have killed the last wave press the button on the lift to end the challenge.

Paderborn bridge combat master
Achieve gold medal for this challenge map

This chapter is unlocked towards the end of chapter 4, you will find yourself back on the bridge area, from the start of the game. Kill all enemies in this area, before climbing the ladder at the end to move on with the story, to unlock the challenge.

This is one of the harder challenges, due to the fact you must take on one of the huge robotic dogs towards the end, a total score of 22800 is required for the gold medal.

For the first section of the challenge it is best to use the sniper rifle from a distance, staying behind the small wall on the right hand side, not far from where you start off. When you think you have finished off all enemies and the music dies down, be careful, as you move forward more enemies will appear from a door at the back left hand side.

Once you move on, climbing the ladder and dropping down into the second area you must take out the two schockhammer enemies and the two flying drones, use the sniper rifle on the drones as it only takes one shot and the grenade pistol on the schockhammer guys. To kill the super soldiers quickly, get close and shoot them in the light on their shoulder with the schockhammer, shoot it twice and they will crouch down and you can melee them. They will stand again but it is easy to shoot the light 2 more times and they will go down again, one more melee and they are dead.

Quickly grab the super soldiers machine gun and get ready for the robotic dog to come bursting through the turned over trucks. Keep the gun aimed at the head and just keep firing. Once the dog goes down its pretty simple from here, just pick off the remaining enemies and your done.

Wulfburg square combat master
Achieve gold medal for this challenge map

Unlock this challenge by simply getting through the town square of Wulfburg during chapter 5.

A score of 17,600 is needed for the gold medal. The challenge itself can seem quite difficult until, like most of these challenges, you find a good strategy.

Start off by taking out all basic enemies and one of the commanders with stealth head shots using the silenced pistol, then one of the two super soldiers in the area. Use the shoot light and melee technique, as explained in Bronze Paderborn Bridge Combat Master.

From here run up the ladder and use the sniper rifle from the top of the tower to pick off all remaining enemies until there is no basic enemy left, return to the ground to take out the last super soldier, leave the second commander to the end.

Workshop combat master
Achieve gold medal for this challenge map

Unlock for this is connected to the choice of saving Kessler or Annette at the end of Chapter 6, see Bronze Kessler Saved for more information on this. By saving Kessler you will pass through the workshop area and unlock this challenge.

A score of 17200 is required for this, it is one of the quickest challenges but you have to make the most of your scoring opportunities. As the challenge begins, quickly change to the sniper rifle as soon as the loading screen changes, there are 3 zombies that are right at the start of the level, one straight ahead to the right, one to left, then another one set of steps up, towards the back of the map on the right, you will just be able to see his head. If you can get 2 out of 3 of these guys you are off to a good start.

After they are down just crouch at the back, right were you start, in the corner behind the car and wait for the enemies to come to you. Keep an eye out for the Schockhammer guys that will appear, use the grenade pistol for them.
By staying in the corner, the enemies will come to you and been in perfect head locations.

Bathhouse combat master
Achieve gold medal for this challenge map

Unlock for this is connected to the choice of saving Kessler or Annette at the end of Chapter 6, see Bronze Kessler Saved for more information on this. By saving Annette you unlock this challenge.

This another challenge that is over fairly quickly, a score of 17100 is required.

Right from the start, if you move to the left and head towards the dead end with a little ledge to hide behind, then just wait and pick off enemies with head shots as the come round the corners. Save the grenade pistol rounds for the schockhammer enemies. There will also be a few enemies that appear just as you go to exit up the stairs, including another schockhammer enemy.

Graveyard combat master
Achieve gold medal for this challenge map

To unlock this you must kill all enemies in the graveyard at the start of Chapter 8, this includes the area off to the right where you drop down through a hole in the wall to reach. A notification will pop up when you have unlocked it.

This challenge is broken up into 2 distinct areas, a total score of 28800 is required for the gold medal.

From the start move forward and pick off the first of 2 commanders with a stealth head shot, he will be pacing back and forth in the raised guard tower. From here kill the closest 2 guards that are talking, more than likely you would have triggered an alarm by now and if not just switch to sniper and shoot at one of the other guards you can see to trigger it.
Take cover behind one of the tombstones, the one to the right of where the 2 talking guards were is a good spot. From here you can pick off all that come at you with head shots.

Once all enemies are down move forward and around to the back doorway of the small building to the left, here you will find the second commander, kill him with a thrown knife.

This area is now clear, move around collecting ammo, health and armour as required then head over to the far right of the map via a fallen stone bridge. Here you will find a hole you can drop down into the second area of the challenge. Once in move forward and sneak around to the right, there will be a guard sitting on a grave, try to stealth kill him or simply charge him and shoot with your assault rifle, move past where he was sitting and enter a doorway to a long corridor, move towards the back where there will be a little alcove on either side of the passage way.

You will get spammed with grenades in this area, but it is easy to move from side to side from each little alcove to avoid the grenades, all the while keep an eye on the door and pick off any guards when you get a chance. There will be one schockhammer guy in this area, use grenade pistol rounds to kill him.

Once this area is clear all enemies are done for the challenge, return to the starting area, cross the bridge and move up to the exit, open the door and finish the challenge.

Eagle Eye
Unlock the Eagle Eye perk

Commanders are the officers of the Wolfenstein world, you will know they are in the area when a signal detector appears in the top right hand of the screen showing there direction and distance from you.

To unlock this perk you need to kill 20 of them silently, which is to kill them by throwing knife, silenced pistol or take down from behind. Which ever it is you have to kill them without being detected.

If by the time you reach Chapter 8 you have not unlocked this it is easy to farm the kills right at the start. Move forward until you can see the commander pacing back and forth in the raised guard tower, simply shoot him with your silenced pistol then restart the chapter. All stats towards perks are saved when you die, restart a checkpoint or restart a chapter, so just keep killing the first commander and restarting chapter until the trophy unlocks.

Health upgrade I
Unlock the Health upgrade I perk

This perk is unlocked by overcharging your health to 200. “Overcharging” is done when your health level, represented by a cross at the bottom of the screen, goes aver 100. Once it goes over it will slowly lower back down by itself until it reaches 100 again.

After clearing each area always search for health, scout around and add up how much health is in the area. When you know there is enough to overcharge you to 200, map out a speed run to allow you to scoot around and collect it all, remember that once your health overcharges past 100 it will slowly creep back down, so you don’t want to take your time when collecting to reach 200.

Although it is not yet available, it is possible to unlock this and Bronze Health Upgrade II at the same time as that perk requires you to overcharge health to 250. Keep this in mind when searching cleared areas for health, if there is enough to overcharge to 250 then you can unlock both.

Health upgrade II
Unlock the Health upgrade II perk

To unlock this perk you must overcharge your health to 250.

Us the method explained at Bronze Health Upgrade I.

Health upgrade III
Unlock the Health upgrade III perk

This perk is unlocked by killing 5 enemies in a row while your health is overcharged.

A good area for this is during Chapter 6, just before you reach the point where zombies burst through a double wooden door there is health in the alley way you drop into. Use it then take out the zombies that come at you, there will be more than 5. If your health was too low at this point there will be more opportunities as you progress through the next phase as there is more health in the passage you will be following. I think its good to go for this against zombies as they go down quite easily and the game seem to like grouping them together.

Armor upgrade I
Unlock the Armor upgrade I perk

Nazi helmets you will see everywhere while playing the game, when collected they add 5 points to your armour. To unlock this perk you are required to collect 100 helmets. You should be looking to pick up armour all the time as you go through the game and helmets will be a big part in this, more than likely 100 helmets will be up by half way through the game.

Armor upgrade II
Unlock the Armor upgrade II perk

Armor upgrade II is not available until Bronze Armor Upgrade I has been unlocked, once it has this gives you the ability to overcharge your armour, then you can unlock this perk by overcharging your armour to 200.

“Overcharging” your armour is done when your armour level, represented by a shield at the bottom of the screen, goes aver 100. Once it goes over it will slowly lower back down by itself until it reaches 100 again.

After clearing each area always search for armour, scout around and add up how much armour (don’t forget helmets) is in the area. When you know there is enough to overcharge you to 200, map out a speed run to allow you to scoot around and collect it all, remember that once your armour overcharges past 100 it will slowly creep back down, so you don’t want to take your time when collecting to reach 200.

Ammunition upgrade
Unlock the Ammunition upgrade perk

100 kills using dual-wielded weapons is the requirement for this perk. The only weapons that are available to dual-wield are the pistol, the assault rifle and the schockhammer. To switch to dual-wield simply press UP on the D pad when one of these weapons are equipped.

You don’t need to shoot with both of the dual-wielded weapons, you can hold both but only use one if you wish and the kills will count.

It is also possible to stack this with Bronze Schockhammer Clip Upgrade, by dual-wielding the schockhammer kills will count as both dual-wield kills and schockhammer kills.

Grenade belt
Unlock the Grenade belt perk

Unlock this perk by killing 3 enemies with one grenade.

You might end up doing this in general play, but a good spot is during Chapter 6, when a pack of zombies burst through a large double door, just throw a grenade into the pack and you will more than likely kill 3 of them. If you miss killing 3 at this spot, there are more opportunities as you travel through the passage behind the broken door.

Vampire
Unlock the Vampire perk

To get this perk you must kill 25 enemies with a stealth take down, this is done by sneaking up behind an enemy and pressing R3.

There are plenty of opportunities throughout the game to get stealth take down kills, however if this hasn’t unlocked by the start of chapter 8 simply sneak up on the first 2 guards right at the start of the chapter, stealth take down one of them, more than likely the other will be alerted but if your quick you might be able to get both of them. Then restart the level and do it again, keep doing this until the perk and trophy unlock.

Kampfpistole ammo storage upgrade
Unlock the Kampfpistole ammo storage upgrade perk

This perk is unlocked by getting 50 kills with the Kampfpistole. This is a one shot hand gun that fires an exploding grenade.
Ammo for this weapon is hard to find, it is best to wait for groups of enemies as it is capable of taking out a bunch of guys at once.

Remember it is possible to restart a checkpoint at any stage and all stats towards perks will save, so when you have plenty of ammo and find a good spot to get multiple kills you can reload checkpoint and do it again until you unlock the perk.

Schockhammer clip upgrade
Unlock the Schockhammer clip upgrade perk

Carry heavy machinegun
Unlock the Carry heavy machinegun perk

This perk requires 200 kills with the MG46 Heavy Machine Gun, this weapon can be use mounted or carried however your walking pace is slowed down when carrying it. The weapons ammo will be auto replenished when returning to the mounted position, you can then take it back and have full ammo, ammo is also unlimited while it is mounted.

A good place to farm this perk is towards the end of chapter 7, after using the walking robot to smash down wooden gates you will eventually get to a point where you will have to find a key and unlock a gate and enter on foot. In this area there is a mounted heavy machine gun off to the right, pick it up and start to kill all the zombies that will be dropping from the sky and crawling from under the walls. Keep doing laps around this area, there is 2 gun mounts in the area to re-mount the gun to replenish ammo. Keep doing laps of this area until you have unlocked the perk, the enemies are not unlimited, but by doing laps quite a few will spawn and at this stage in the game you should have somewhere between 100 and 150 kills with the Heavy MG already.

Reload mash
Unlock the Reload mash perk

This perk requires 20 kills with the last round of a magazine. 20 kills is not a lot, try to get this perk out of the way early by using the schockhammer, just firing at the ground until the last round then getting a kill. If you are Uber difficulty you may need to use the sniper rifle for this, same method, just fire off all rounds but the last then get a kill with the final shot.

Quick turn
Unlock the Quick turn perk

The Quick Turn Perk is unlocked by killing 50 enemies from cover. You can take cover by pressing when up against a wall, doorway, bench, box etc. When you go to aim down the sights while in cover you will peak out and have the ability to slightly look around corners.

Tough Skin
Unlock the Tough Skin perk

Tough skin is unlocked by getting 10 “pipe head explosions”. These are zombie head shots with your trusty pipe. At the start of chapter 6 you will be up against zombies, all you have to do is hit 10 zombies in the head with your pipe. Be sure to aim high, if you aim too low you will kill the zombie with a body shot.
