In Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands: Narco Road, you continue the story of the main game where you go undercover in the cartel to take down the new members from within. Here is our full Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands: Narco Road Review.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands: Narcos Road is developed and published by Ubisoft. It was released on April 25, 2017, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This is the 1st out of 2 DLC packs for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands.

Something that confused me straight away was the save system, out of nowhere you could make multiple saves but only in the DLC, and progress from the main game didn’t cross over to it. This was kinda disappointing but they give you a ton of resources if you pick up 1 thing so I didn’t mind about that.

In this story, you follow a brand new character about a year after the main story is finished. The Santa Blanca cartel is slowly up and running again with a few new members. You will be going undercover and taking down the gang from the inside. This doesn’t really get explained well due to the main cutscene being glitched for me. The story was pretty interesting, but nothing to write home about, but it did give a nice twist on the already existing gameplay and story combination by having the tools of the Santa Blanca that you can use.

The gameplay is kinda more of the same, while it’s stripped down in the main missions, the side content seems to have gotten a complete overhaul. All the green sidequests are brand new, they go from having to destroy crops in a plane filled with poison to driving around a lab on wheels to your destination in time without blowing it up to finding a random car and finding it on the map with the image given to you. But the side missions are not the only thing that got added.

They also added minor things in the world like drifting, jumps, mini mountain races, and plane checkpoints. These were kind of fun to do at times, but the jumps and bike races would glitch at times so you had to go back to them later when it would reset. I felt like this could have been a main game thing in the beginning, but with the addition of monster trucks in this DLC it kinda made sense to not have it in the main game.

The story is pretty basic and short, but with the added gameplay it was a blast to play.
