In The Division 2: Warlords of New York, you continue the story of The Division 2 and follow Aaron Keener back to the place where it all began, New York. Here is our full The Division 2: Warlords of New York Review.
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2: Warlords of New York is developed and published by Ubisoft. It was released on March 3, 2020, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
For The Division 2, we take the helicopter back to the city where the story of The Division started, New York. Sadly, its story is just running around after 4 different bosses so you can find Aaron Keener, a rogue agent that is set to do more damage to the world and you are tasked to stop him.
That kinda is the story of the game, but sadly, they tell the story during the gunfight, so I had a hard time paying attention while at the same time having my friend Invictus screaming in my ear about being shot a ton. There are some cutscenes in the beginning and end that are pretty good, but the cutscenes through the DLC are just kinda bad and don’t tell much while just looking at the map.

The gameplay doesnt seem far of from the main game, they do add some of the Division 1 skills that do seem like a good idea, but due to how good the ones in The Division 2 are, they are basically not really needed in any way. They also added that you could become level 40, something that actually became more of an annoyance due to having to be that level to do the final mission. If you only play the main missions and some of the side missions, you don’t hit that level 40 mark forcing you to do more side content, something that isn’t really that fun to do after already having completed the main game.
Visually the game is kinda good, but New York is unrecognizable from the 1st game in the series. I think some locations of missions are supposed to resemble locations of the 1st game, but I honestly didn’t recognize anything in the missions. The only thing that was nice to see a return in a recognizable state were the enemies, I loved those from the 1st game a lot more, mainly due to the variety and how stale the ones are from the main game of this game.
