Introduction:

Welcome to the SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated Trophy Guide! Plankton is back with his plans to steal the Krabby patty formula, however, after accidentally setting his robots to “Do Not Obay” mode. It’s left to Spongebob, Patrick, and Sandy to save the day.

Roadmap:

Step 1: Almost finishing the story and Collecting Socks

This guide will be going over getting the platinum by the very end of the game and getting the platinum after beating the final mission. However, you can choose to complete the game in any order you wish as there are no missable trophies or wrong ways to go about completing the game. But for this step, you’ll want to collect as many socks as possible while collecting 98 Golden Spatulas before completing the game.

Step 2: Finishing the game.

After collecting 75 Golden Spatulas or up to 98, you can finish the final mission of the game. If you’ve collected 98 Golden Spatulas then this is where you’ll get your platinum.

During this step you’ll earn these trophies:

40-platinum Neptune’s Spatula
Gold Super Ultra Mega Spatula Seeker
Silver SpongeBob vs SpongeBob!

Bronze 100% SpongeBob

Step 3: Clean-up (If needed)

If you’ve finished the game before getting every possible Golden Spatula then this is where you go location to location on the map and collect anything you’ve missed.

  • Jellyfish King spawns multiple jellyfish and will send out two shockwaves when slamming down. Like before, avoid the slam attacks to hit the Jellyfish king and progress.
  • This is the same as step 2 except he will send out 3 shockwaves. Simply avoid them to hit him and finish the fight.

Jellyfishing
Complete Squidward’s Mission in Jellyfish Fields.

For this trophy, Speck to Squidward after completing the Jellyfish King Boss fight.

Uptown and Downtown
Complete Mrs Puff’s Mission in Downtown Bikini Bottom.

In Downtown Bikini Bottom, as Spongebob, talk to Mrs. Puff and she’ll give you an objective to collect 11 Steering wheels. These are quite easy to find as you progress through the level. However, if you struggle at any point, you can follow this video guide.

Hit Rock Bottom
Finish the main missions of Rock Bottom.

In Rock Bottom, you’ll have to complete two objectives.

  • Help Mrs. Puff by collecting 6 paintings
  • Help Plankton turn on 3 lasers

This is something you’ll do naturally while playing through the level. However, if you seem stuck on any particular step, then you can follow this video guide.

Keep it Rolling
Complete the Rolling Ball Puzzle in Mermalair.

This might be one of the more difficult puzzles of the game however, that doesn’t mean that it’s difficult. This puzzle is very simple once you know all the steps, it just takes a bit of learning a timing to get everything flowing.

Here’s how to solve it.

  1. Use a bubble ball to hit the button and turn right and bowl a bubble ball to hit the spinning wheel and rotate the platform.
  2. Follow the path and bowl a bubble ball to hit the base of the scoop. This will flip it downwards.
  3. Next, run to the pressure plate in the path, stand a little bit further than the plate, as when you roll a bubble ball, you move forwards slightly and you don’t want to end up walking off of it as you need to stand on it as the bubble rolls to hit a button. (Plus you don’t want to look like a GameSpot reviewer.)
  4. Now follow the path and go up and to the left where there is another pressure plate. just stand on it.
  5. Once the ball passes, turn right and run forwards. Now you could skip bowling a bubble into the button, but your timing would have to be perfect so the hammer doesn’t hit it off. So it’s recommended to try and hit it to raise the hammer.
  6. If you make it past the hammer keep moving forwards and stand on the very left of the next platform to tilt it left, then slowly move to the right to avoid having it fall, it should automatically move to the next section if it’s close enough.
  7. Once the ball is in its little cannon, move right and follow the path, and bowl a bubble to hit the button ahead, this one is tricky as you have to time it so it doesn’t hit any obstacle in the way as there is a fan in the way and you have to hit the button from between the blades.
  8. Collect your spatula.

If you need a visual guide to help you with this part. Please refer to the video below.

Kelp Forest of Fear
Find all the Lost Campers in Kelp Forest.

In Kelp Forrest, talk to Mrs, Puff. She’ll give you an objective to find 6 lost camper. This, like previous objectives, is simple, but in Kelp Forrest, there’s a bit more set-up required for some of the campers and spatulas. Kelp Forrest is a bit of a difficulty spike compared to previous levels, but still quite simple.

If there is any camper that you can’t find or spatula you’re unsure of how to obtain, then you can follow the video guide below.

Ship Shape
Reclaim the Flying Dutchman’s ship in the Flying Dutchman’s Graveyard.

For this, you have to make your way to the enemy ship and destroy all the power generators. You can do this with your basic melee attack.

Then you can activate the cannons on the dutchman’ ship to end the battle.

Sleepy Time
Find all Golden Spatulas in the SpongeBob’s Dream level.

Spongebob’s dream is probably the hardest level in the game. At least when it comes to platforming, there are a lot of spikes and timing jumps involved, however, it is quite simple after learning the timing and rotation of each platform.

If you struggle with any of the objectives in the level, then follow the video guide below.

Robot encyclopedia
Destroy at least one type of every robot in the game while playing the campaign. Bosses don’t count.

This trophy will come naturally from completing the game. Just make sure you take out every robot you see, especially if you are uncertain that you’ve destroyed a specific robot.

Shrimp Catcher
Defeat Prawn in the Mermalair.

This is a boss fight in the Mermalair. There are 3 stages to this fight.

  1. He’ll blow bubbles at you and you just have to walk in a circle and avoid it, if it gets too close to you, double jump over it and run in the opposite direction. Once he stops some of the lanes around will turn blue, simply use a bubble ball to hit him from afar, rolling in the blue lanes.
  2. This is the exact same as Stage 1, except there will be a few Ham-Mer bots
  3. This is the same as Stage 2 except there will be even more Ham-Mer bots.

For a visual reference, refer to the video below.

Shanghaied
Defeat the Flying Dutchman.

This Flying Dutchman is a 3 stage boss.

  • Stage 1: He uses a laser eye attack two times before then teleporting away to another location on the battle arena, and using the same laser eye attack again, then he’ll use his breathe aura, while he is using his breath aura, you’ll be able to lasso his tail.
  • Stage 2: Same as the Stage except he’ll do everything three times.
  • Stage 3: Same as the last Stage except he’ll do everything four times.

At the end of the fight, you’ll go into a cutscene before the Flying Dutchman gives you a golden Spatula, The trophy should pop during the cutscene.

The Small Does Not Rule Gold

This is the final part of the game. You’ll have to use every ability you’ve learned in the game. There are 7 fuses that you must destroy to defeat SpongeBot. Robo-Plankton will also try to stop you, but, you can just hit him with a Cruise Bubble to stop him from hitting you. It’s a linear path so just make your way through slowly and you’ll be fine.
