Introduction:

Welcome to the Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus Trophy Guide! Steal from the bad and claim back what is rightfully yours, while grabbing the platinum trophy in the process.

Roadmap:

Step 1: Complete the Game While Finding all of the Collectibles

This roadmap is very straight forward. The game consists of only story related trophies and one type of collectible. When opening up all of the vaults in the game for the GoldGreedy Raccoon trophy, you will unlock all of the other collectible related trophies in the game. There are no combat related trophies either, which means simply beat the game and open all of the vaults to get this platinum.

The only other trophy you would need to actually try for (Though it is likely you will do the requirement for this trophy multiple times before completing the game) is BronzeCoins, Coins Everywhere! For this trophy all you need to do is collect a total of 99 coins at any given time. Doing so will net you an extra life as well as this trophy. Continue playing until you beat the game and you will be ready for a very quick step 2.

You’ll be earning these trophies:

Bronze Foxy Lady
Bronze Coin Collector
Bronze Coin Recycler
Bronze Coins, Coins Everywhere!
Bronze Snowy Blueprints
Bronze Programmers Can Do Anything

Step 2: Greedy Raccoon + Platinum Trophy

If following the guide, you will only need to unlock one more safe before obtaining GoldGreedy Racoon, as well as the platinum trophy. The only reason this is not part of step 1 is because the safe in chapter 4 mission “Dual by the Dragon” cannot be unlocked until after defeating Clockwork.

After defeating the final boss of the game, travel to this chapter from the hideout and open the safe. Doing so (if following the guide) will not only net you this trophy, but you will also unlock your platinum shortly after! Congratulations!

During this step you’ll earn these trophies:

Gold Greedy Raccoon
40-platinum True Thievius Raccoonus

Trophy Guide:

True Thievius Raccoonus
Unlock all trophies for Sly Cooper’s first outing

This trophy unlocks after first earning all of the other trophies in the game. Congratulations on adding a new platinum to your collection!

Foxy Lady
Collect a police file from Carmelita

This trophy is story related and cannot be missed. This trophy is unlocked after collecting a police file from Carmelita.

During the first section of the game (before going to your gangs hideout) you will be tasked with making your way to Carmelita’s office and collecting a police file from her safe. This file will include valuable information, and help you throughout the game. You will eventually come to a red door that is locked.

To the right of this door you will see and open window that you are able to jump through. Shimmy your way across the outside of this building and you will eventually make your way back inside. Head towards the safe and you will hear Bentley come over the radio and give you the combination code. Enter in this code and you will then open the safe and collect what is rightfully yours.

Once the safe is opened, you will automatically collect what is inside as well as unlock this trophy. In other words, you will unlock this trophy after completing the prologue mission “Police Headquarters”.

Coins in this game will be scattered across the levels normally. They also drop from killing enemies as well as breaking objects. Coins, Coins Everywhere!
Collect 99 coins

This trophy is unlocked after you have successfully collected 99 coins.

Coins in this game will be scattered across the levels normally. They also drop from killing enemies as well as breaking objects. After you have successfully collected 99 coins, you will gain an extra life as well as start back at 0 coins. Even if you happen to lose a life or complete a level, your coins will carry over to the next levels as well.

This trophy can easily be obtained in the first level as long as you pick up all the coins you come across, as well as the ones that drop from fallen enemies / broken objects. You can see how many coins you currently have by looking at the coin counter in the top left of your screen. If you do not get it during the first mission, just play one more and you should have more than enough opportunity to unlock this trophy there.

Once you have successfully collected a total of 99 coins, you will unlock this trophy. Along the way you will also unlock the BronzeCoin Collector, and BronzeCoin Recycler trophies.

Frog Legs upscale-245262160018212
Defeat Sir Raleigh the Frog

This trophy is story related and cannot be missed. You will unlock this trophy after defeating Sir Raleigh the Frog.

Sir Raleigh the Frog is the boss of the “Tide of Terror” chapter. Before being able to access this boss you must first make your way through a couple of levels so that you can use your keys to get rid of the electrical current blocking you from accessing the second area of the map.

Once this section has opened up you will notice a cannon to your right that is locked behind some more locks. You will need to play the remaining level so that you can gain access to the keys that unlock this cannon. Once you have the required keys, you can now jump into the cannon that launches you to the boss fight. You can see if you have the key to the level (as well as how many bottles/vaults you have obtained for a level) by standing outside the entrance of it.

The levels that need to be completed in order to unlock the second area as well as the cannon are as follows:

  • A Stealthy Approach
  • Prowling the Grounds
  • Into the Machine
  • High Class Heist
  • The Fire Down Below
  • A Cunning Disguise
  • The Gunboat Graveyard
  • Treasure in the Depths

Once all of these levels have been completed, you are ready to face Sir Raleigh the Frog. You will now have access to the “The Eye of the Storm” level.

Once on his blimp you will have a short cut scene introducing this boss. You will need to hit him a total of 4 times to defeat him and send him on his way. You will need to defeat him by jumping from platform to platform and then smacking him when he is back to his normal size.

The first two times you hit him he will jump from platform to platform and go back to his normal size after he jumps 5 times. Simply hit him with the button to damage him. Once he starts jumping again, he will now jump 8 times before going down to his normal size. Additionally, each platform he jumps on will blink red and be sent back down into the water so be sure not to stand on the platforms for too long.

During the final stage there will only be one platform. He will jump to it and start swinging his tongue around. Simply jump up and down and wait for him to go to his normal size so that you can hit him once more and finish him off. Once you finish him off, you will trigger a cut scene and learn about your next foe “mugshot”. Here you will also unlock your trophy.

Once this section has opened up you will need to complete another series of levels inside so that you can unlock a latch in the back of this room to gain access to the elevator taking you to mugshot. Once you have the required keys, you can now gain access to the elevator and make your way up the building. You can see if you have the key to the level (as well as how many bottles/vaults you have obtained for a level) by standing outside the entrance of it.

Muggshot is a giant muscular dog that is split up into three phases / three floors, each one being harder than the next. On the first floor you will notice a bunch of mirrors scattered around a platform with crystals on it. Simply smack the mirrors so that beams of light are going towards the crystals. You must do this by dodging the bullets coming form Muggshot’s guns. You can dodge them by a double jump, or simply standing behind a crystal for cover.

Once all the mirrors have been turned, you will be taken to floor 2. Same as before, except the platform will not be a simple square, and there will be more mirrors to hit. Once all of the mirrors have been hit, you will be taken to the final stage of this boss fight. Once at the final floor, you will be jumping across posts by using the button. Here when you hit a mirror, Muggshot can also use their guns to turn them back around. If he does this, simply hit the mirror again.

Just time your jumps so that when he shoots his guns, he is not aiming at a mirror. Once all the mirrors have been turned, Muggshot will be defeated and you will unlock this trophy. You will also trigger a short cutscene, and learn about Mz. Ruby.

Mz Ruby is the Alligator boss who unlike the other bosses, will have you press a sequence off buttons to make it close to her so that you can damage her. As soon as the fight starts, simply jump down and smack her one time to officially begin the fight. You will only need to hit her 3 more times until she has been defeated. She will show you which buttons she is throwing at you, and then you will have your chance to input them so you can dodge them.

Once you make your way through a sequence, you will need to hit her one time to damage her. Just rinse and repeat until she is defeated. Each time you hit her she will speed up the buttons, but nothing too difficult. You can even spam the incoming button if you can’t get the timing down. After you hit her for the 4th time she will be defeated, and you will trigger a cut scene followed by this trophy. You will also learn a little info about Panda King.

Track down Clockwerk

This trophy is story related and cannot be missed. You will unlock this trophy after tracking down clockwork.

Greedy Raccoon Gold
Open all vaults

This trophy is unlocked after opening all of the vaults in the game.

To open a vault on a level, you must first find and break all of the bottles on the respective level. The bottles will range from a quantity of 20-40, and you can see how many you have collected at anytime by either standing outside the level, hovering over it from the hideout, or in the top right corner of the screen each time you collect a bottle or pause your game.

Once all of the bottles have been collected, you will then need to find and locate the safe. Most of them will be near the exit of the level, and are easily spotted. Approach the safe and interact with it so that Bentley gives you a code. Input the code and collect what is inside to learn a new ability. There are a total of 20 vaults in the game you will need to open before unlocking this trophy.

It is recommended to collect all the bottles while you play through the game so that you save time later. The abilities also help you out quite a lot throughout the duration of the game. If you happen to miss a safe or a bottle, you can track which ones they are by hovering over the chapter from the hideout. There you can see whether or not the chapter even has bottles, and If you have opened the safe yet.

The safe located in chapter 4, mission “Dual by the Dragon” cannot be opened until defeating clockwork. This is because it is written in “Owl Code”. This is the only safe in the entire game that works this way. You can collect all the bottles on your first playthrough and then come back via chapter select to open it after defeating Clockwork.

Once all 20 safes have been opened, you will unlock this trophy. I have linked both a text AND video guide down below that will show you where all of the bottles and safes are located.

Oh No He Didn’t Gold
Defeat Clockwerk

This trophy is story related and cannot be missed. You will unlock this trophy after you have successfully defeated clockwork.

Clockwork is the final boss in the game and will be available after reaching the final area. You gain access to this area after defeating the Panda King. This entire chapter will have no bottles, and it will consist of you going through a few minigame like chapters before even fighting the boss. For the first time ever you will also be playing as the entire gang, and even Carmelita.

After making your way through all of these chapters, you will then face off against Clockwork himself. Clockwork is the giant owl enemy, and is the hardest boss in the game. It is a long fight, and If you die at any point you will have to start from the very beginning of it. The fight will also be split into 3 phases.

During the first phase, you will be on your jetpack and have to shoot at clockwork when Bentley gives a static shot to a location on Clockwork’s body. You will have to dodge Clockwork’s purple attacks by simply flying around them, and shooting at the weak spot when you can. After depleting the health of Clockwork the first time, he will fly into the lava pit below.

He will then come back for round 2. This phase will be tougher because clockwork will now shoot circular attacks at you that you will need to fly in the middle of to dodge. Dodge these attacks and shoot at his weak spot just like in the first phase. After you deplete his health for a second time, you will be ready for the final phase of the fight.

This phase will consist of Sly platforming through a series of obstacles while dodging lasers in the process. You will slowly be making your way to clockworks body in the center of all this mayhem. Once you make your way to clockwork all you will have to do is attack his head. Just keep smacking the head until clockwork has been defeated. After he has been defeated you will trigger a cutscene as well as unlock this trophy.

Bottle Hoarder Gold
Collect all clue bottles in any level

This trophy is unlocked after collecting all of the clue bottles in a single level.

Clue bottles are the green bottles that are scattered throughout most of the levels within the game. The only levels that will not have them are the ones that keep you in a vehicle the entire level. You can see how many bottles are in a level by standing outside it. You can also see in the top right corner of your screen each time you collect a bottle.

After collecting all of the bottles on a level, you will then have access to the safe for that level. The bottles are easy to find, and you can even hear the sound they make when you are nearby. Each level will have anywhere between 20-40 bottles that you will need to collect. You will need to collect all of them in order to get the GoldGreedy Raccoon trophy, and you can view that trophy for more info.

For the purpose of this trophy, you only need to collect all of the bottles on a single level. You don’t even need to open the safe, and this trophy will pop as soon as the final bottle of any level has been broken.

Nimble Like A Thief Gold
Find all the dive moves

This trophy is unlocked after you have successfully found all the dive moves.

This is very similar to the other trophies that require you to learn abilities, except this one will require you to fine TWO abilities before unlocking it. Not only that, but one of the two abilities also comes with their very own trophy as well. The two abilities you will need are:

  • The fast attack dive found on the level “A Stealthy Approach” of chapter 1. See BronzeDive Bomb for more info.
  • The final dive upgrade on the level “A Cunning Disguise”.

To collect these blueprints, you must first gain access to the above mentioned levels and chapters. To get access to the safes, you must first find the required bottles on each respective level. Once all the bottles have been found, head back to the safe and interact with it so that Bentley will give you the code.

Enter in the code and you will automatically pick up the blueprints and learn the new abilities. For more information on how to obtain the bottles / collectibles, please view the GoldGreedy Racoon trophy. Here you will not only find information on the bottles needed for this trophy, but also all of the bottles / vaults in the entire game.

For the purpose of this trophy, simply opening the two vaults on “A Stealthy Approach” and “A Cunning Disguise” will be enough to unlock it.
