The Saints are back in Saints Row: The Heist & The Hazardous, a brand new DLC for the Saints Row 2022 reboot. Here is our Saints Row: The Heist & The Hazardous Review.
Saints Row: The Heist & The Hazardous DLC is developed by Deep Silver Volition en published by Plaion (formerly known as Koch Media). The DLC was released on Xbox One, Series X/S, Playstation 4, and PlayStation 5 on May 9, 2023.
Is this 1 DLC enough to bring me back to the world of Saints Row and care again to maybe 100% it? Not really, this 30/45 minute DLC is pretty fun, but having to pay $10 for this is not something that is really worth the price. As I said, it is fun, and if you already own the game I do recommend picking it up down the line when it’s on sale.
In the DLC, you get tasked to do a bounty on someone in the movie world who green-lights different projects, who put the bounty on him is something you will find out at the end of the 1st mission. How much is the bounty you might ask? It’s 1 Million Dollars! So a lot of people try to go for it. After killing him and trying to pick up the rewards, it turns out it is an actor who wants to make a movie on his own, and the bounty was because the guy didn’t want to green light it.

Turns out, the actor doesn’t have 1 Million Dollars, big shame. You do however get an autographed picture that he says is worth a million. He talks a bit about the movie and that he needs to sell props from his older (in this universe version of) Fast and the Furious to pay for the movie. Of course, you want that million, in the other missions, you play out the plot of the 7th movie in that series and do a heist to steal the props for yourself.
This is a pretty fun story if I say so myself and the DLC has some great moments. They also added a weapon and a new type of skydive type mission to do as side content, I personally didn’t care much for that. Besides that they also added a brand new district where the DLC takes place, and that is something I thought was pretty cool, but I wish they just did some more with it, because after the DLC missions, it’s just another district to tick off in the list to do, but it was visually very appealing to walk around in.
