Welcome to the Resident Evil 3 Trophy Guide!
Step back into the boots of Jill Valentine, as she escapes the horrors of Raccoon City, in this action packed remake. Do you have what it takes to escape Nemesis? Or will you perish, along with the city?
Step 1: Play on Standard Difficulty
In this step, just sit back and enjoy the game. If you’d rather play on Assisted, that’s fine. The collectibles can be done this playthrough if you’d like, but I recommend doing Master Of Unlocking. Refer to that for more info. After this step, you’ll even have most of the trophies!

Step 2: Play On Assisted, No Item Box
During this step, were gonna get this half annoying trophy done right away. Playing on Assisted makes the game easier, give extra slots, and you have more ammo available to you! I suggest keeping the Assault Rifle ammo, just for Nemesis encounters. Refer to “Minimalist” for more info. Also, if you think you can beat the game in 2 hours, with 5 saves or less, for the S rank, you can certainly try! I recommend a save just before you do the Power Station with the spiders, and just before you give Jill the Vaccine in the Hospital. At the end of this run, you’ll at least have one extra trophy!

Step 3: Grind Bonus Shop Points
In this step, we’ll be cleaning up some objectives in the records. This will get you points to unlock the Infinite Rocket Launcher for use in later runs! Using the Power Station save, you can do shotgun kills, and using the Hospital save as Carlos, you can get the Assault Rifle and Pistol kills. You can then run to the lab with the magnum, and clear that out a few times for the Magnum kills! Once you can, unlock the Infinite Rocket Launcher, the extra hip pouches, healing coins, and some defence coins if you have extra points!
Step 4: Hardcore With No Healing + Collectibles
Seen that this run can be very lax, you can knock off a great many things. If you haven’t done the collectibles, now’s the time. With the healing coins, you can always get back to full health too! Plus, the defence coins will obviously let you take less damage. But none of that matters seen that you’ll be an impenetrable fortress, with your rocket launcher! After this stage, you’ll have many more trophies too!

Step 5: Nightmare Playthrough
Now that Hardcore is beaten, you have access to Nightmare. Buy whatever other coins you can from the Bonus Shop, then run it the same way you did in Hardcore! By the end of this, you’ll only have 1 more run!

Step 6: Inferno Playthrough With S Rank
You’ve made it to the end. The final playthrough after so many. You know the game, inside and out. Now, it’s time to S rank Inferno. This requires beating the game under 2 hours, with less than 5 saves! Easy with your infinite rocket launcher. The only difference here? No autosave. You die, you go back to your last save. So, use your 5 saves wisely! After this, you’ll have a nice, shiny platinum, for a hell of a game!

Complete the game on “Inferno.”
Inferno Mode is unlocked after Nightmare difficulty.
This is where the game gets a bit dicey. First of all, you want the rocket launcher and all 6 of the coins from the bonus shop. Next, if you get grabbed by a zombie, at the beginning, or as Carlos when you first get to the police station, you’re dead. That’s it. Autosave is disabled, so you have to go back to your last save, and enemy placement is the same as Nightmare. Some typewriters have been completely removed as well. Remember, you want S while doing this run. So plan your 5 saves, and if you die, LOAD YOUR GAME. DO NOT hit continue, or that time will be added to your clock. Once you beat Inferno, this trophy is yours.
Craft an item.
This will come naturally as you play the game. Even if you don’t mix herbs, you still have to mix items for story.
Improve a weapon.
This is kind of missable, because you can make it through the game without actually upgrading a weapon. In Racoon City, you’ll find the Donut Shop. To the right of the entrance, you’ll find a metal walkway that splits to the left and right. If you go left, you’ll be in a warehouse with a safe. The code for the safe is 9 Left, 3 Right, 7 Left. It contains a red dot for the pistol. Combine them and get this trophy.
Expand your inventory.
This is missable because you can make it through the game without getting a pack upgrade. They are all over the place, but if you do the “Power Stones” trophy, you get a side pack as a reward basically.
Cause Nemesis to relinquish an item.
When Nemesis is chasing you in the subway tunnels, after reaching the Subway when he chases you for the first time, you’ll get to a point where you need to open a yellow grate. There are 2 explosive barrels right next to it. Stand beside them and wait for Nemesis to get to them. Now move out of the way, and blow them up, and it will stun Nemesis and he’ll drop an item.
Defeat Nemesis on the rooftop.
This is the very first time you fight Nemesis. He will have a flamethrower and will fire it at you. When he has to “reload it”, run behind him and shoot the fuel tank. Eventually it will blow and and he’ll start running at you. You now damage him by shooting his chest. After enough damage, he will fall, the trophy will pop, and you’ll be on your merry way!
Place all jewels in the clock tower monument.
In the first area of the game, you’ll need to get 3 power stone to put them in a monument in the subway exit, to get a side pouch. The stones are in Fancy Boxes, scattered around the map. Once you get a box, you need to examine it in the menu to get the stones. The boxes are located in the donut shop, the toy shop, across the street from the subway exit, but you need a Lockpick, and the store across from the toy store, which is unlocked with the bolt cutters. I suggest doing all this, BEFORE you do the Substation. If you try and do it after, Nemesis will chase you down the whole time!

Once you beat the R.P.D section as Carlos, this trophy unlocks.
|An Unfortunate End
Defeat zombie Brad.
Unfortunately, Jill’s best friend Brad, becomes a mindless zombie. As Carlos, you have to kill him in front of the R.P.D. This will come naturally though, so you don’t have to worry about missing it.
Complete the game with an S rank on “Inferno.”
This is just for getting an S on Inferno. With all the coins, and infinite rocket launcher, this will be a cake walk. The only difficult sections are at the beginning of the game, and the beginning of Carlos at the R.P.D. To get an S rank, you need to beat the game in under 2 hours, and save 5 or less times! So be careful! After you S rank Inferno, this trophy is yours.
|I Need a Hero
Withstand the zombie siege.
This is unlocked when you finish the room defence section as Carlos, when you save Jill at the hospital.
Follow Nicholai deeper underground.
This will unlock once you get to NEST 2, which is the last area of the game.
Gather all the fuses in the warehouse within 5 minutes.
After the hospital section, you will be Jill, and you’ll work your way underground. Eventually, you’ll go up a little platform lift, and be in a room with a typewriter. Make a save on a random slot. Now, you’ll be in a big warehouse, and you’ll need to get 3 fuses to continue. You have to gather all of these in 5 minutes. When the power goes out, run to the lift you see and hit the button then run away, as a pale head appears. When the lift opens, quickly run to it. Quickly activate it and leave the pale head behind. First fuse is in front of you. Now turn left, and go down the ladder. Now, head left, and an explosion will happen. Two Cerberus’ appear, so kill them quick. Now run straight ahead until the second left. Go down it, and you’ll see a zombie. Kill him, or stun him, and go to the left corner of the shelves, to get a prompt to squeeze through. Now head right and run up the stairs. Don’t go through the door. Head right over the lift, and exit to the other walkway on the other side of the lift. Now hit the button to activate another lift. Run through it and down the next ladder. Now go to the end of this hall. As you’re running, a door will blow open with zombies in it. You can run by them and get the fuse. Now as you’re running back, a Hunter Gamma will appear near the ladder. You can run to the ladder to avoid it. Now go back across the lifts and through the door you passed at the top of the stairs. Head in, and either defeat or dodge the 3 enemies inside. One is a Pale Head, so it can take extra damage. Head out the left door, and down the ladder. As you’re going down the little walkway, a hunter will appear. Kill it, and quickly get the last fuse! Once you get it done in under 5 minutes, you’ll get this trophy! Refer to the video below to see me doing it on Assisted difficulty.
Defeat Stage 2 Nemesis.
In NEST, you’ll have to fight Nemesis at the end, in a round pit. This fight is a pain in the neck, as Nemesis can stun lock you with attacks. Now what you have to do is damage him until Carlos shows up. Once he does, damage him more. He will then run around the vats around the edge of the arena, and Carlos will say what number he’s at. You then shoot the red lights, and Nemesis will fall to the ground. Run up to him, and shoot the little parasite that’s sticking out from his chest. If Carlos says “LOOK OUT!”, Nemesis is going to jump from the arena edge, onto you. So prepare to dodge. When he takes enough damage, he will eventually die, and you’ll get this trophy!
Defeat Stage 3 Nemesis.
At the end of the game, you have to fight Nemesis again. Shocker, I know. For this, there’s a rail gun you have to interact with just behind you. Then, 3 canisters will pop out of the walls. Destroy the glowing sacs on nemesis, then push all the canisters back into the wall. Once that’s done, interact with the rail gun again, and finish the fight and get this trophy!
Destroy a Charlie Doll.
This is for breaking all of the Charlie Dolls in the game, which are the collectibles. Refer to “Goodbye, Charlie!” for a link to a guide for this trophy!
|Two For One Deal
Defeat two enemies with a single shot.
This isn’t as bad as this sounds. In the Power Substation area with all the spiders, when you jump down from the scaffold, you’ll go right to activate a generator. When you turn around, and start walking down the path, the wall in front of you will explode, with 2 spiders, side by side. Blast them with the shotgun and unlock the trophy!
Read all story files.
This is for reading all 56 notes in the game! Below is a link with a text guide to all of the notes! If you miss a note, you just have to read that note on a later run to get this trophy. So you don’t have to recollect every single note!
Destroy all Charlie dolls.
This is for destroying all 20 Charlie Dolls. All of these are hidden around the game, looking to be broken. Below is a text guide for all of the dolls. If you miss one, all you have to do is break that one doll, on a later run, to get this trophy.

Charlie Doll Location Map – Bobblehead Goodbye Charlie
Collect all weapons in the campaign.
This is for finding all the weapons in the game, but there’s only 4 weapons to find anyways.
- Shotgun – In the Subway Offices, in the cabinet that’s locked with the chain. Use the bolt cutters to get these.
- Grenade Launcher – In the sewers, when you slide down the slope, take the first left and go up the ladder. It’s in the room, on a shelf.
- Burst Pistol – In front of you on the cabinet, once Jill wakes up in the hospital.
- Magnum – In the hospital, as Jill, go to the second floor. Turn left at the door to the Nurses Station room, and crawl under the pile of Gurney’s, and jump out of the window. Here you’ll find the magnum in a case! Then the trophy will unlock!
|RE: Master of Unlocking
Unlock all safes, lockers, strongboxes, and pickable locks.
For this, you have to unlock every safe, and simple pick lock. Once you get the picklock, go unlock everything in the area BEFORE you complete the Substation, as some become missable, or a pain with Nemesis chasing you. Luckily, if you miss one, you just need to unlock that lock in a later run to get the trophy!

Resident Evil 3 Remake – Locker Codes & Safe Codes Combinations
Complete the game on “Standard” or higher.
This is for beating the game on Standard difficulty.
Complete the game on “Hardcore” or higher.
This will unlock once you beat the game on Hardcore difficulty.
Complete the game on “Nightmare” or higher.
This will unlock when you beat the game on Nightmare difficulty. Now this is where the game starts getting a bit different. Some items are in places they weren’t in before, and enemy spawns are changed. For example, there’s pale heads in the first area, and enemies rain from the sky! No joke. Other than that, it’s the standard things. Enemies hit harder, move faster, and take more damage before they die. Unless you blow them up, of course!
Complete the game with an S rank.
This is for getting a S rank! Refer to “Jill Valentine” for more info on an S rank!
Complete the game without opening the item box.
This is for NEVER opening the item box in a run. This may sound difficult at first, but if you do it on Assisted, it’s not bad. If anything it’s just a matter of having good item management, and getting all the hip packs. Once you beat the game without opening an item box, this unlocks!
|I Might Need These Later!
Complete the game using 1 or fewer recovery items.
This is a lot easier than it sounds. First thing you need are the healing coins from the bonus item shop, which is unlocked after beating the game once. Then, make sure they’re always in your inventory. Now, the ONE item you can use is at the Substation Generator, as the spider is a scripted event. So save before this area, just in case you get egged twice. Once you beat the game without ever using a healing item, this is yours!
Complete the game in under 2 hours of play time.
This is for beating the game in two hours. This will come while getting an S rank. But the only real tips are, skipping all the cutscenes. This is a joke with the infinite rocket launcher, as everything dies very, very quickly. If you need to step away, pause the game by hitting options, or the timer will keep going!
