Introduction:
Welcome to the Plantera Trophy Guide! Developed by VaragtP Studios; Plantera was ported to the Vita by Ratalaika Games in May 2017 and is a casual clicker game. The game is available as a free-to-play demo on PC for anyone wishing to try it out before purchasing – (Link). It is also available free-to-play on iOS & Andriod.
Roadmap:
The aim of this game is to Grow & Manage your own Garden, Breed your own Plants & Animals and Expand your Garden to Level Up & Earn more money. You will earn all trophies just by spending time in this game, so there is no need to worry about anything. Should you simply be playing for trophies feel free to read the exploit mentioned below to dramatically decrease the time needed.
Step 1: Start Up & Scaring
Jump straight in and play. During this step you should concentrate on getting the collectible and scare related trophies out of the way. These need to be done manually so it’s best to do it when your garden is smaller. The size of the garden does not effect how often these ‘enemies’ appear. This will save you time later, as the bigger your garden grows, the more problematic it becomes to scroll across and find the animals.
All you need to do is play the game – Buy things to Plant, Buy Animals so you have friends & generally scare away the beasts that threaten your garden. It is during this step that you will need to purchase land in order for your garden to grow and expand. In order to progress and earn more you will need to be mindful of the those that are trying to destroy your garden. All you need to do is keep touching the Vita’s screen to either collect your Fruit/Veg or scare away those that also want it. You can leave your workers to do it for you but you can also help them by dropping the Fruit from the Trees & Bushes in order to speed your progress up. You can purchase more valuable plants and more useful friends via the pull up screen when available.
You’ll be earning these trophies:
Starting Out
Bunny Hunter
Fox Hunter
Wolf Hunter
Ladybug
Whack-A-Mole
Entomologist
Scarecrow
Expander
Taking Out the Trash
Rich
Step 2: Money Gathering & Remaining Trophies
It is during this stage you are free to use the below mentioned exploit (if you wish); however if you want to play legit, you basically just have to keep playing. There is nothing much more to add. You can let your workers do it all themselves and eventually your money/level will build up on their own. The only thing you will be left with is to plant enough to reach 100 of each and gather 100 friends. For both of these you will need money, as you will have to keep deleting (or trashing) your objects due to being restricted on the amount you’re allowed at any one time. All remaining trophies can be earned in this step and it should not prove difficult at all.
You’ll be earning these trophies:
Freeholder
Land Owner
Planter
Grower
Landscaper
Lots of Friends
Wealthy
Worth A Million
Apprentice
Journeyman
Note – Offline Date/Time Exploit:
You are able to exploit the Vita’s Date/Time settings to make the game think more Days/Hours have passed. If you want to use this exploit, start up the game and plant your first available items. Once you get things going and are ready quit to the main menu. The game auto saves whilst playing, as well as every time you quit to the main menu. Exit to the Main Menu, then open up the Day/Date Options menu within your Vita’s settings menu and move the date/time forward. You do not need to close the Plantera App. When you go back into the game, it will think that “real-time” has passed, thus earning you money while you were “away”.
As in real life, your workers will only work for a certain amount of time each day; therefore if you want this exploit to be more effective, play normally until you are able to get the Alarm Clock Upgrade and purchase it. The alarm clock will increase the amount of time your workers are working whilst you are away from the game. The amount of time can be viewed by pressing Triangle whilst on the main game screen. This shows the amount of time they will work while you are away. It is not per day but total time. It is therefore recommended that you only forward time by one day at a time.
If using the exploit, you will not level up or get anything towards the Animal trophies but you will however, earn money for Worth A Million and will help with
Land Owner. When you start playing again the game will recognise that your workers have been attending your garden. It will also therefore level you up relevant to the amount of work that has gone on. Once you have a million coins, you are free to use the exploit for
Journeyman.
This Exploit is also available with the update installed.
Trophy Guide:
![]() ![]() Scare away 500 birds |
Every time a bird flies into your screen, you will need to touch it in order to scare it away. Simply do this 500 times.
The birds scared by Scarecrows & Dogs do count for this trophy; however it seems that not all “scares” are valid.
A workaround for this trophy does seem to have been found by leaving your game playing overnight, with Scarecrows & Dogs doing the work for you.
I tried this method myself and woke up to the trophy. You need to ensure however that you do rubber band you Vita by either one of the sticks, or a shoulder button to stop the Vita screen from shutting off.
It goes without saying that you also need to ensure your Vita is plugged into a power source.
![]() ![]() Scare away 100 foxes |
Foxes begin to appear once you have bought your first Chicken. You can purchase a Chicken from Level 4 onwards. Every time a fox enters your screen you will need to touch it 3 times in order to scare it away. Simply do this 100 times.
Note: The foxes that are scared away by purchased Guard Dogs, won’t count towards your totals so don’t waste your money on them.
![]() ![]() Scare away 100 wolves |
Wolves begin to appear once you have bought your first Sheep. You can purchase a Sheep from Level 12 onward. Every time a wolf enters your screen, you need to touch it 5 times in order to scare it away. Simply do this 100 times.
Note: The wolves that are scared away by purchased Guard Dogs, won’t count towards your totals so don’t waste your money on them.
![]() ![]() Scare away 100 bunnies |
Bunnies appear once you plant your first Carrots. Carrots are the first thing you plant, thus these will be there from the beginning. Every time a bunny enters your screen, you will need to touch it in order to scare it away. Simply do this 100 times.
Note: The bunnies that are scared away by purchased Guard Dogs, won’t count towards your totals so don’t waste your money on them.
![]() ![]() Buy 3 garden expansions |
See Land Owner
![]() ![]() Buy 6 garden expansions |
See Land Owner
![]() ![]() Buy 12 garden expansions |
Your garden can be expanded once you reach level 5. The expansions can be bought by scrolling left or right and touching the arrow signpost. Each expansion cost more coins than the previous so you will need to save them up to buy all the required expansions.
Your expansions will cost the following:
- 500
- 5,000
- 25,000
- 100,000
- 250,000
- 500,000
- 1,000,000
- 5,000,000
- 10,000,000
- 25,000,000
- 50,000,000
- 99,000,000
See Worth A Million , for an exploit you can use to speed this up.
![]() ![]() Have planted a total of 100 plants |
Plants are available as soon as you start the game and are accumulative. They are located on the leftmost tab from the pull up menu. Even when you have all expansions you will not have enough room for 100. You will therefore have to remove/trash older items in order to reach 100. Once you have planted 100 from this menu the trophy will pop.
![]() ![]() Have planted a total of 100 bushes |
Bushes become available as you progress and are accumulative. They are located on the second tab from the pull up menu. Even when you have all expansions you will not have enough room for 100. You will therefore have to remove/trash older items in order to reach 100. Once you have planted 100 from this menu the trophy will pop.
![]() ![]() Have planted a total of 100 trees |
Trees become available as you progress and are accumulative. They are located on the third tab from the pull up menu. Even when you have all expansions, you will not have enough room for 100 so will have to remove/trash older items in order to reach 100. Once you have planted 100 from this menu, the trophy will pop.
![]() ![]() Have bought a total of 100 animals |
Animals become available as you progress but this trophy is accumulative. They are located on the forth tab from the pull up menu. Even when you have all expansions you will not have enough room for 100. You will therefore have to remove/trash older items in order to reach 100. Once you have purchased 100 from this menu the trophy will pop. You will need to purchase animals to attract Foxes and Wolves, who will chase them across the screen if you do not get to them in time.
![]() ![]() Trash 10 items |
You can “Trash” items as soon as they have been planted/purchased. Tap the Trash Can in the pull up menu and then select the item you want to remove. You will easily get this when going for other trophies.
Note: You will not be able to get this item back and will have to repurchase any replacement.
![]() ![]() Gather 10.000 Coins |
See Worth A Million
![]() ![]() Gather 100.000 Coins |
See Worth A Million
![]() ![]() Gather 1.000.000 Coins |
Basically everything you touch produces coins. If using the Date/Time Exploit this will take no time at all. If doing it legit, this will take some grinding as it is not accumulative and you must have 1.000.000 Coins on you in one go. You can leave your workers to do it for you but you can also help them by dropping the Fruit from the Trees and Bushes in order to speed your progress up. Be sure to scare/remove all things that put your garden in danger and collect all things worthwhile.
Offline Date/Time Exploit:
As of v1.00, you are able to exploit the Vita’s Date/Time settings to make the game think more Days/Hours have passed.
If using the exploit, you will not level up or get anything towards the Animal trophies but you will however, earn money for Worth A Million and will help with Land Owner. When you start playing again the game will recognise that your workers have been attending your garden. It will also therefore level you up relevant to the amount of work that has gone on. Once you have a million coins, you are free to use the exploit for Journeyman.
![]() ![]() Reach level 10 |
See Journeyman
![]() ![]() Reach level 50 |
See Journeyman
![]() ![]() Reach level 100 |
This will come naturally as you progress and will be one of the last trophies you earn. Things can get a bit hectic when you have all your expansions, but remember that your workers will continue to do some of the work for you and you cannot “die” as such. Keep playing and plugging away and you will get there eventually. You are free to use the Date/Time Exploit to obtain this trophy, as it speeds this up massively. See Worth A Million, for an exploit you can use to speed this up.
![]() ![]() Collect 500 butterflies |
Butterflies appear right from the start of the game. In order to collect them touch on the butterfly when it appears on screen. You will need to wait for the Butterfly to have a circular glow around them before you can collect them. For every Butterfly collected you receive coins.
![]() ![]() Bash 50 moles |
Moles appear right from the start of the game. In order to bash a mole, you must tap it via the touch screen. For every Mole bashed, you will receive coins.
![]() ![]() Collect 10 ladybugs |
Ladybugs appear once you reach level 5 and you get 1 per level up. They are difficult to see, however in order to collect them you must tap the Ladybug via the touchscreen. When you level up, take your time to look out for the Ladybugs, as you will not get another one until you level up again. This is best done as soon as you reach level 5, because the further you get into the game the longer it takes to level up. It has been reported that this trophy needs to be accomplished in one sitting. This should not prove too difficult, provided don’t quit to the main menu or close the App.
