Introduction:
Welcome to Overwatch Trophy Guide! Many years ago, Overwatch was formed to stop the world from plunging into chaos. In the present day however, they fight towards a common goal: the platinum trophy. Welcome to the fight.
Roadmap:
Stage 1: Familiarizing Yourself With Overwatch
Your first goal should be playing all the characters and getting used to how the game works. You’ll be expected to do this up until you feel 100% comfortable playing the game and getting trophies or until you’re level 10, whichever comes first. You should also try to play with friends so you can get the 20% XP boost and the related trophy.
Please Read Before Continuing – Blizzard has been laying out quite a few stealthy changes to characters without notifying players publicly. This guide notice was added to the guide after a Buff to Lucio was added which allowed him to wall-run a lot more smoothly than before and due to this the guide may not always reflect the character’s current state. Players should keep in mind that the guide will be updated as soon as these changes are found out, only changes related to the trophies will be added and if the guide doesn’t 100% reflect these changes then please comment with visual proof and it will be added to the guide. Keep in mind that comments may not be replied to but they will be looked at and necessary changes will be made as the game evolves.
Patch Change Keys for Trophy tips:
- Negative Change
- Positive Change
If you’re stuck for starter heroes, try out Reaper, Bastion, Tracer, Mei, Winston, or Mercy.
Stage 2: Beginning the Journey to Platinum
Now that you’ve hopefully learned the basics of playing Overwatch and are prepared to play for real, we’re going to start with the Ultimate Ability trophies for the characters as they’re considerably easier than the others and most require a lot less skill to get than other character trophies.
Coming with Season 3 will be a patch that will prevent you from stacking heroes in quick play, this could heavily effect strategies you would’ve used previous to this for some of the character trophies. It will be unknown as to whether Blizzard will allow us to use the Arcade Mode to get these trophies if we play the mode that’ll allow stacking or not, as such we’ll attempt to implement synergy based strategies to the guide so you can both get the trophies and plan out your competitive season strats.
You’ll most likely unlock World Traveler and either come close to
Level 25 or obtain it by the end of this stage.
During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
– All of them. The order at which you earn the tropies is completely up to you as it depends on the character you decide to play.
Stage 3: DLC Trophies

TIPS & STRATEGIES
Familiarizing Yourself With the Game Modes
Before you enter this Overwatch guide, it’ll be handy to understand which game modes will be referenced throughout, using this quick guide you can easily familiarlize yourself with the modes, ready to go ahead and grab the platinum.
Control
This game mode sees two teams battling over a single objective, similar to Hardpoint in Call of Duty except there’s only one point per round, not several which alternate. The first team to hold two objectives to 100% of the time required win the match. Scoring is based on a best of three system. This game mode takes place in Ilois, Nepal and The Lijang Tower
Capture
This game mode takes place with an Attacking and Defending team fighting over two control points. The defending team must try to hold out for as long as they can without losing both points, if they survive long enough they’ll earn victory. However if the attacking team manage to push them back, then they’ll lose, simple really. This game mode takes place in Hanamura, The Temple of Anubis and Volskaya Industries
Escort
This game mode’s name pretty much speaks for itself. Two teams fight over a Payload, one team wants to get it to the objective (Attackers) the others want to stop it from reaching it’s destination (Defenders). This game mode if the most commonly recognized game modes and is known by a large majority of players by it’s actual name or just “Payload”. This game mode takes place in Watchpoint Gibraltar, Dorado and Route 66
Hybrid
This game mode is the lovechild of the Escort and Control modes. There are attacking and defending sides as usual, however the game start with a capture objective, then moves onto a payload with two checkpoints after the objective has been captured. This game mode takes place in Kings Row, Numbani, Hollywood and Eichenwalde
ALERT! REGARDING BOOSTING LOBBIES.
How To Boost – Classic Quickplay
First things first: Is it even possible to boost in Overwatch? Yes, it is, a lot of people do not know that,
Here’s how you can boost trophies by having friends on the enemy team making most trophies base game and DLC easier.
- Step 1: Make a group of 4 starter people. You will need 7 people but an explanation on how to get 7 or more people will be shown below.
- Step 2: Start searching for a quick play game, then press
andthen
. You will have the option to leave the group – But you will want to wait until in the top-middle of the screen it says “Game Found”. You and everyone in the group will have to press
to leave the group. You have a few seconds to do this when the game is found. Leaving the group when the game is found will cause everyone to SOMETIMES get mixed up, so some people will end up on another team.
- Step 3 (if nobody gets into the enemy team): 1 person needs to add everyone from the enemy team and hope that 1 of them accepts. Then when the person accepts join the game and wait till you spawn in.
- Step 4: the people that are waiting can now join both teams. It is very important that they press “join game” and not “spectate game”. By pressing “join game”, even if the game is full if someone on that team leaves then one of the people who pressed join the game will be put on that team instantly causing there to be 7 or more people in the game.
You can checkout boosting methods and find boosting partners on the DexDotExe Discord Server. Every Saturday there is a giant boosting session with 20+ people.
Trophy Guides:
![]() ![]() Collect all other Overwatch trophies. |
The platinum trophy, Just like every other game, to earn the platinum you must earn all base game trophies. DLC trophies are not required for the platinum.
![]() ![]() Play a Quick or Competitive Play game in a group with a friend. |
Simply play through a game with a friend… Have no friends?.. Better luck next time! But in all seriousness if you play enough, you’ll find a group to play with expectially with the new Group System or use the DexDotExe Discord Server.
![]() ![]() Win 100 games in Quick or Competitive Play. |
You’ll get this naturally through your journey to the platinum trophy, however. You’re much more likely to obtain wins when playing and co-ordinating in a team as opposed to playing with 5 randoms.
![]() ![]() Reach level 10. |

![]() ![]() Reach level 25. |
Refer to Level 50 for more information on leveling up.
At level 25 you’ll unlock Competitive. Competitive is a much easier way to level up timewise as matches consist of 2-5 rounds, eliminating loading screens, the minute long initial champion selects, end game results screens and constant matchmaking of quick games. It’s recommended that if you want a much smoother experience in terms of time, go for levelling in competitive. If not and/or you want that stack champion strategy, go for quick play.
![]() ![]() Reach level 50. |
You’ll probably unlock this before you finish up every single character trophy if you’re planning to unlock them legitimately, however it’s worth knowing where your experience is coming from. You’ll need 908,500 experience to hit level 50. From level 19 and onwards the experience needed to level up will be capped at 20,000. So you’ll only need 20,000 experience to level up from 20 to 21 or 99 to 100 or even 999 to 1000.
You get 4.01 experience every second you’re in-game (excludes medals, wins, group boosts)
Other sources of experience include:
- 50 XP – Bronze Medal
- 100 XP – Silver Medal
- 150 XP – Gold Medal
Your bonus XP for medals only counts towards your highest earned medal, so you’ll only get one Medal bonus per match not a bonus for each medal earned.
- 200 XP – Consecutive Match
- 250 XP – Match Finished
- 500 XP – Match Win
- 400 XP – Backfill (Filling in for a player who leaves midgame)*
- 500 XP – Match Win
- 1500 XP – First Win of the Day**
These XP bonuses will stack, as opposed to the medals
You’ll also get a 20% XP bonus if you’re playing in a premade group, so never play alone if you don’t have to.
Leaving games too early too much will cause you to be penalized, you’ll end up with a 75% XP reduction per game until the penalty passes, keep in mind if you keep getting penalized eventually your penalty will be permanent.
*: Backfill was recently noticed after one of my games, as such it may not be 400XP for every game, however, it’s assumed that the game will be consistent
**: This should reset the moment the GMT timezone goes into midnight – 7 PM EST/4 PM PST – and it should be obvious you can only get one of these bonuses per day
![]() ![]() Destroy 3 of Symmetra’s Teleporters in a single Quick or Competitive Play game. |
There has been a patch as of 6/29/2018 that changes Symmetra’s ultimate. Teleporters are now a normal ability making this trophy a lot easier (From personal experience playing in the new patch I was able to destroy 5 teleporters, something impossible before the patch)
![]() ![]() Use health packs to heal 900 health in a single life in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Health Packs are scattered around the maps in Overwatch to allow players to heal up their characters without having to run all the way back to their spawn room. There are two types of Health Packs you can pick up:
- Small Health Packs heal you for 75 HP and will respawn within 10 seconds of use.
- Large Health Packs heal you for 250HP and will respawn within 15 seconds of use.
It’s suggested you play a tank-like Winston who can’t heal themselves so you don’t accidentally heal yourself and end up miscounting the Health you’ve healed, then running around the map and taking damage and picking up health packs. If you’re chased by an enemy, someone like Winston has great disengage and it shouldn’t be hard for you to lose them – run back to spawn if you need to, just don’t die.
Or play as Sombra, using her relocator ability to teleport to a health kit after receiving damage and hacking health kits to gain health quicker.

![]() ![]() Earn 50 postgame medals in Quick or Competitive Play. |
You can earn several medals in your game by excelling in certain areas of gameplay, you’re rated Bronze, Silver or Gold for your performance in each section based on the comparison with your team’s performance, as such you shouldn’t expect a constant and steady flow of medals but expect to get several in one game and maybe a couple in others.
The parts of your gameplay you can be graded on are:
- Eliminations – Eliminations are the ground basis of Overwatch’s medal system, being a large part of its second-ranking “Objective Kills” and usually put in direct correlation of Damage Done. As long as you deal damage on an enemy, you’ll get a point towards your elimination count, so it’s good competition between your team for this medal, as such you should probably not try to get these medals deliberately.
- Objective Kills – You’ll be getting objective kills easily in the Overwatch game modes if you’re playing a defending team as the attacking team will always be near the objective for you to add kills onto your total, keeping this in mind, you’ll always be able to find some defenders working in the Objective area if you’re playing the attacking team to bring your total up. You don’t need to be in the Objective yourself, only your targets need to be there.
- Objective Time – This medal is based around time you’ve spent on top of an objective, whether it’s contesting the objective as a defender or escorting/capturing an objective as an attacker. Keeping this in mind, it’ll be much harder to earn ranks as an attacker if you have a premade group in your game who constantly cap/push an objective.
- Damage Done – Pretty much explainable within itself, you’ll get this medal from dealing high amounts of damage, to do so you can choose a high damage output characters like Pharah or someone like McCree who can put a large amount of damage into enemies over a short period of time (Fan the Hammer), as well as a way to deliver moderate damage when he wants (Peacekeeper normal fire)
- Healing Done – The opportunity to get this medal is much more open than the others based around the fact that barely anyone will play support unless they’re forced to. The best healer for this medal would be a split between Lucio, who can deal with AOE heals or Mercy who can pump out 50HP a second to her allies.
- Deaths – You cannot get medals based around deaths, but it is still a stat that will appear on the postgame medal screen.
![]() ![]() Earn 21 postgame cards in Quick or Competitive Play. |
You earn cards by pulling off notable feats in-game, they’re displayed in the results screen after the play of the game and are maxed out at four per game between both teams.
For this trophy, you need to earn 21 of them but you don’t need them to be Epic or Legendary, you just need their base form.
It’s suggested that if you still need to get this trophy that you play characters you’re good with as it’ll be much easier to pull off cards with your mains than it would with characters you’re not so good at.
![]() ![]() Collect 50 unlocks for a single hero. |
Items are unlocked from Loot Boxes and can also be bought with Credits. You earn one Loot Box per level and each contains 4 different items that can be for any hero.
While you can do this trophy for free by leveling, your best chances come from paying for loot boxes, however, it doesn’t guarantee you the trophy it gives you a lot more items a lot faster than you’d get them from natural progression and hence more chance of getting the trophy.
You’ll find Credits in Loot Boxes in installments of 50, 150 and 500, however, you’re more likely to obtain them through duplicate items. Duplicate items are items for characters you already have that you’ve unlocked in a loot box and you’ll get 20% of that item’s worth back in credits to save up for whatever you want to buy.
Keep in mind that because they have no actual value, Player Icons will give you 15 credits if duplicated.
In addition to Loot Boxes and credit payments, you earn a spray for each trophy you unlock – The character-based trophies unlocking a spray for their specific character that’ll count towards your total and the general ones unlocking sprays that’s usable on all heroes which won’t count towards your total.
New Emotes have been added to the game so there are more items for you to collect, in turn, these emotes cost 250 credits – excluding that legendary D.VA emote – so you don’t have to spend 1000 credits on legendary skins if you’ve collected the rest of your chosen characters items.
During each event you’ll be given a single loot box as a complimentary gift from Blizzard, certain events – Such as the 2016 Winter Wonderland – may yield even more free boxes however keep in mind that you will only be able to obtain these event-based items during the event that they’re made for. It’s unknown if you’re going to be able to get any item from any event in a special event or if you’ll be able to buy the old seasonal items when their event pops up during the following year.
![]() ![]() Kill 4 enemies with a single use of Reaper’s Death Blossom in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Reaper is a Close-Range Offense Hero, he has Double Shotguns with considerable range and 3 abilities. For this trophy, we’ll be using Reaper’s ultimate ability: Death Blossom.
Death Blossom is a 360-degree damage based ult which sees Reaper fire multiple shells of his shotguns in rapid succession. This deals massive chunks of damage to enemies and you’ll most likely get this trophy by taking out a defending team, however, you should always try and position yourself in the middle of the enemy team before popping your ult using either one of you normal abilities as they’re both mobility based. Take note you can also move whilst in Death Blossom, just in case someone thinks they can get out of your range by running.

![]() ![]() Kill 4 enemies with a single use of Genji’s Dragonblade in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Genji is a Hybrid Offense Hero, Carrying shurikens that he fires in 3 round bursts either directly at a target or in a spread pattern, along with the ability to both double jump and climb walls as well as his 3 offensive abilities. For this trophy, we’ll be using Genji’s full arsenal after the activation of his ult.
First, we should probably assess how Genji’s full arsenal will assist in getting this trophy:
- Dragonblade – REQUIRED FOR THE TROPHY, deals 120 damage per swing and can be swung a maximum of 7 times per activation, lasts for 6 seconds after the 1.08 Competitive Season 2 Patch. You can hit multiple people per swing if they’re in range.
- Deflection – Will allow you to get close to enemies who’ve noticed you and are firing if you deflect.
- Swift Strike – Deals 50 damage, allows you to close the gap on distant enemies and cooldown resets once you kill an enemy.
Right, a pretty good combo is to activate your Dragonblade then enter battle with Swift Strike, that’ll confuse a few enemies allowing you to get the drop on them then you can kill them and use swift strike to keep up the confusion, don’t forget if you’re close to someone shooting use your deflection to save yourself.
You’ll want to get this on a low health-based team too, as opposed to a team full of tanks, due to the 120 damage output of the Dragonblade.

![]() ![]() Kill 2 enemies with a single use of Genji’s Deflection in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Genji is a Hybrid Offense Hero, Carrying shurikens that he fires in 3 round bursts either directly at a target or in a spread pattern, along with the ability to both double jump and climb walls as well as his 3 offensive abilities. For this trophy, we’ll be using Genji’s Deflection ability.
To kill 2 enemies with a single deflection can actually turn out to be quite a chore. For starters, you need to acknowledge that you can only block projectiles with Genji’s deflect, constant stream weapons like Mei’s icer or Zarya’s beam will continue to damage you even if you try to deflect them. The easiest way to get this trophy will most likely be deflecting something explosive, such as a Junkrat’s grenade launcher or Pharah’s ult – if you’re daring enough of course. With enough luck, they’ll have someone near them when you deflect their attack and they’ll be low enough for you to get the double kill needed for the trophy.
If you’re having too much trouble, set up a boosting session using the advice in Tips & Strategies and get two people to play Junkrat and fire their grenades at you while standing next to each other as you deflect, you should be able to get it that way with ease.
![]() ![]() Get 3 solo kills with a single clip of Reaper’s shotguns in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Reaper is a Close-Range Offense Hero, he has Double Shotguns with considerable range and 3 abilities. For this trophy, we’ll be using Reaper’s Double Shotguns.
Firstly: You need to get kills without your team helping you, which means you need to single out targets yet to be damaged. You’ll know if you get a solo kill as you’ll get 100 FIRE from it.
Reaper’s Shotguns have 8 shells per clip and his damage is based on how many pellets per shell hit the enemy and where they hit. Each shell carries 20 pellets that deal 2-7 damage each depending on where they land meaning the minimum amount of damage you can do to an enemy is 2 and the max is 140.
Basing the average damage at around 100, your best chance of getting this trophy is to get your kills on an Offense hero or Support hero as they’re the heroes with the lowest average health. You must aim high so you hit the torso/head of your opponent and don’t miss a single shot, otherwise, the pressure will begin to press down upon you and you’ll begin to lose your cool and mess up.
Getting close to your opponents shouldn’t be a challenge with Reaper’s mobility abilities, so use those here to help with getting the trophy.

![]() ![]() Interrupt an enemy ultimate ability with McCree’s Flashbang in Quick or Competitive Play. |
McCree is a solid Close Quarters to Mid Range Offense Hero. He has two types of fire and three abilities. For this trophy, we’ll be making use of his Flashbang.
There are only certain ults that can be interrupted, the easiest to interrupt being McCree’s Deadeye, where something more complex would be a Hanzo before he fires the dragons. Therefore, it’s suggested you do this on a McCree to save yourself timing issues, just get in close behind them when they pop their ult – be fast about it too – then drop a flashbang on them.
If you have a pre-made team, get them to play tanks as it makes McCree’s aim in Deadeye take much longer allowing you a larger window of time to hit him with the flashbang. You can also find a team through the DexDotExe Discord server

![]() ![]() Get 4 killing blows with a single use of McCree’s Deadeye in Quick or Competitive Play. |
McCree is a solid Close Quarters to Mid Range Offense Hero. He has two types of fire and three abilities. For this trophy, we’ll be using McCree’s ultimate ability: Deadeye.
Deadeye is an ultimate ability which requires McCree to have enemies in his sight for a certain time until a red dot appears over them for him to fire and instantly kill his target. You’ll most likely get this whilst coming in on the flank of a defending team who’s focusing on a push, however, there are several other moments in-game where you could get this, especially in the middle of team fights.
Whilst it is about timing with McCree’s ultimate, it’s also worth noting that the higher the health cap your opponent has the longer it’ll take for McCree to lock onto them with Deadeye, meaning yet again this is a trophy to get against a low health team.

![]() ![]() Kill 4 enemies in a row without touching the ground as Pharah in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Pharah is an Air to Ground Offense Hero. She carries a Mini Rocket Launcher and has three abilities as well as a jetpack which allows her to stay in the air for longer periods of time after utilizing Jump Jet. For this trophy, we’ll be utilizing her Launcher, Jump Jet, Jetpack and ultimate ability: Barrage.
Killing 4 enemies whilst airborne with Pharah can be quite easy if your enemies are bunched up together – eg. Escorting a Payload – as you can use barrage to easily kill them, however, it is worth noting the damage that each of your offensive outputs will do per shot so you can accurately determine where and who you need to focus your fire on in each situation.
Pharah’s Mini Rocket Launcher does 120 damage per direct hit, and lower damage on splash however, the splash damage radius is quite small.
Pharah’s Barrage fires off an average of 30 rockets, each doing an average of 40-60 damage per rocket, that on average is 1200-1800 damage per barrage.
Based on the damage output, as soon as you get into a good position utilizing Jump Jet for height and Pharah’s Jetpack to move into position, you’ll want to use barrage – this will also give you time to recharge Jump Jet and your Jetpack Fuel so you don’t immediately drop out the sky. Following this, you can pick off any stragglers with your Mini Rocket Launcher.
A different strategy would be to get in the air with Jump Jet then grab a kill with your Mini Rocket Launcher and follow up with a barrage, that’ll keep you up in the air whilst your Jump Jet and Jetpack recharge, you can then pick off stragglers again, but with this method, you’ll have much more time in the air than instantly popping off your barrage.
The choice is yours in this situation.

![]() ![]() Knock an enemy to their death using Pharah’s Concussive Blast in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Pharah is an Air to Ground Offense Hero. She carries a Mini Rocket Launcher and has three abilities as well as a jetpack which allows her to stay in the air for longer periods of time after utilizing Jump Jet. For this trophy, we’ll be using her Concussive Blast.
Concussive blast is a single shot move that pushes enemies in the opposite direction to where it’s landed, obviously the closer they are to the point of impact then the further they’ll be pushed and the further away they are the less effect it’ll have.
Now, believe it or not, there’ll be quite a lot of opportunity to grab this trophy. A lot of the maps have objectives that are close to areas where people can drop OOB and die and a lot of people take routes across the map that put them near these points too, all you need to do is position a blast that’ll throw them over the edge and to their deaths, just as long as their character has no plausible way of pulling themselves back up then you should get the trophy upon elimination.

![]() ![]() Get 2 killing blows with a single use of Soldier: 76’s Helix Rockets in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Soldier 76 is a fully functional killing machine, an effective assault Hero, he wields a fully automatic Heavy Pulse Rifle with a secondary fire rocket launcher alongside 3 abilities. For this trophy you’ll be using the secondary rocket launcher, however, you’ll probably get this trophy alongside the Target Rich Environment trophy as the two strategies are tied pretty close together.
Solider 76’s Helix Rockets are a nice high damage bonus to your firefight, making out 120 over 3 rockets worth 40 each, while you’ll probably be getting quite a few solos kills with them a double kill is something that requires a bit more timing to accomplish. It’s a much easier with the use of “Tactical Visor” as you’ll be able to auto-lock onto enemies and fire your rockets a lot more accurately as opposed to the free fire which can sometimes be off point upon firing, even if your reticule is on your opponent.
You’ll most likely get this while going for Target Rich Environment, however, as a double kill with rockets is essential to getting your 4 kills total with ease before your timer runs out.
Rocket Man Video Guide

![]() ![]() Kill 4 enemies with a single use of Soldier: 76’s Tactical Visor in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Soldier 76 is a fully functional killing machine, an effective assault Hero, he wields a fully automatic Heavy Pulse Rifle with a secondary fire rocket launcher alongside 3 abilities. For this trophy we’ll be using his ultimate ability; Tactical Visor, however, you’ll probably get this trophy alongside the Rocket Man trophy as the two strategies are tied and pretty close together.
Tactical Visor is basically the aimbot ability of Overwatch, allowing Soldier 76 to fire upon enemies in his field of view for a period of 6 seconds. Now 6 seconds isn’t a lot of time to get 4 eliminations and you’ll most likely need to do this trophy when around enemies who are either bunched together, on low health or both.
You’ll have to take into account the average damage you’ll be landing and rounds per second your rifle will fire so you can begin to understand how the trophy pans out kill wise.
- Heavy Pulse Rifle – The Heavy Pulse Rifle carries 25 rounds per magazine and fires at a rate of 10 rounds per second. Your damage output ranges between 5-17 however the activation of Tactical Visor will most likely attempt to keep your rounds at a high damage output, meaning on average you could be dealing 10-17 damage as opposed to the usual 5-17 of manual aim. This being said, you’ll probably only be able to fire two magazines in a single activation of Tactical Visor due to the 6-second limit.
- Helix Rockets – 76’s Helix Rockets are an essential part of his build, they deal 120 damage to enemies on a direct hit, it’s easy to assume that this means 40 damage per rocket as it fires 3 rockets, however, any reduction when it comes to splash damage would make it easy to assume that your target was out of the splash radius of at least one rocket.
This is where you’re going to cross over with 76’s other trophy: Rocket Man. To take out 4 enemies in the six seconds his Visor is active you’ll want to make sure to use your Helix Rockets, essentially getting them to dish out damage on two opponents instead of aiming to kill just one as that’ll make your life much easier and take off some of the pressure you’ll be put under if you’re required to fire bullets at your enemies, due to his magazine not being large enough to efficiently eliminate four enemies in the limit, usually requiring to be reloaded after killing around two enemies – hence the focus on taking out two enemies with your rockets.
Take note that eliminations gained during the time you activate your Visor – after you hit but before you can actually aimbot with it – will count towards the total of 4.
![]() ![]() Recover 400 health using Tracer’s Recall without dying in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Tracer is the face of Overwatch, a quick-paced Assault Hero, she carries dual pistols around and has three abilities. For this trophy, we’ll be using her Recall ability.
Firstly, you should take note that Tracer has 150 health, she can’t take too much damage and if you start taking too much a Recall is advised followed by blinking the hell out of the action. The recall will take you back to where you were not too long ago and if you had a higher health total at any point, you’ll be granted that health back. This is where you’ll get your healing from.
Keep in mind you’ll want to probably do this in bursts of 50 or 75 health as opposed to risking the loss of 100 or anything past as it’ll put you close to death and you need to do this trophy in a single life.

![]() ![]() Stick 4 of Tracer’s Pulse Bombs onto enemies in a single Quick or Competitive Play game. |
Tracer is the face of Overwatch, a quick-paced Assault Hero, she carries dual pistols around and has three abilities. For this trophy, we’ll be using all of her abilities.
Tracer’s ultimate is a quick charge sticky bomb that is thrown a short distance away from her, this bomb can stick to any surface including enemy Heroes who we’ll need to stick for the trophy to pop. To charge up your ultimate, combine blink with Recall whilst fighting enemies, you’ll be able to easily confuse them and take them out whilst they’re looking for where you went, once you have your ultimate, it’s worth looking for large characters to stick it on, if you can find one just blink up behind them, get nice and close, then throw it. Rinse and repeat four times to get your trophy, shouldn’t be too hard as long as you keep an eye on your health.
![]() ![]() Kill 2 enemies in each of Bastion’s configurations without dying in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Bastion is every new players “go-to” Hero and also every new player’s worst nightmare. He has three modes which allow him three different types of primary fire along with two abilities and the passive ability to get a play of the game every game. For this trophy, we’ll be using his full arsenal.
Bastion comes equipped with three configurations: Recon, Tank, and Sentry.
Recon – Bastion is equipped with a full-auto rifle that carries 20 rounds of ammunition per clip, firing 8 rounds per second and dealing damage at a range between 6-20 per round. While this seems a little undermining, it shouldn’t be too hard to eliminate enemies in this form, especially if you keep hidden behind your tanks.
Sentry – This is the configuration of which you’ll probably have already seen before getting Play of the Game. Bastion turns into a wall which deems him immobilized, from this position however he’s equipped with a 200 round Gatling gun that literally shreds through enemies, glass canon and tank alike. Firing 35 rounds per second and boasting a 4-15 damage rating per round, Bastion’s sentry configuration is definitely one of the most dangerous abilities in the entirety of Overwatch.
Tank – You’ll be using this configuration in your attempts to unlock Charge! so don’t panic too much about getting these kills. Bastion’s Tank configuration is his ultimate, where he’ll transform quite literally into a tank with treads and gain some extra durability as well as being able to fire rounds that deal 205 damage per hit, it’s assumed splash damage will cause that number to drop. Fortunately for the enemy team, Bastion can only maintain this configuration for a total of 8s per activation, so attempt to get all your kills in one activation as opposed to having to wait to charge another one up.
![]() ![]() Kill 4 enemies with a single use of Bastion’s Configuration: Tank in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Bastion is every new player’s go-to Hero and also every new player’s worst nightmare. He has three modes which allow him three different types of primary fire along with two abilities and the passive ability to get a play of the game every game. For this trophy, we’ll be using his ultimate ability: Configuration: Tank.
Configuration: Tank is a very easy ability to use and turns Bastion quite literally into a tank, his primary fire becomes very high damage explosive projectiles and you shouldn’t have much trouble shredding enemies’ health with them at all, making this one of the more easier multi-kill trophies. You should still attempt to get this on a group of people who are pushing or defending though, just to make sure you don’t come up one kill short.
![]() ![]() Get 3 killing blows with a single use of Hanzo’s Storm Arrows in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Hanzo is a kick-ass sniper based Defense Hero. Equipped with a bow and arrow which fires further and with much more power upon holding a longer charge, he carries 3 abilities and like his brother, Genji can run up walls, however, Hanzo cannot double jump. For this trophy, we’ll be using Hanzo’s Scatter Arrow.
Hanzo has had a rework to as of May 3rd, 2018. This rework removes Scatter Arrow and replaces it with Storm Arrows which allows you to rapidly shoot up to 5 arrows that deal reduced damage but are always fired at full power.
The best method to get this is to shoot Storm Arrows at a Zarya ultimate or, to lower 3 enemies health then finish them off with a Storm Arrow.
This will likely come naturally if you play Hanzo a lot, playing in quick play would be better as most people don’t make surviving as seriously.
![]() ![]() Kill 4 enemies with one of Hanzo’s Spirit Dragons in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Hanzo is a kick-ass sniper based Defense Hero. Equipped with a bow and arrow which fires further and with much more power upon holding a longer charge, he carries 3 abilities and like his brother, Genji can run up walls, however, Hanzo cannot double jump. For this trophy, we’ll be using his ultimate ability: Spirit Dragons
Spirit Dragons are summoned by Hanzo using a single Arrow. Once fired, the arrow will travel a short distance before summoning two Dragon Spirits that deal 150 damage upwards over time based on how long your opponent is sat in the range of your dragons.
You’ll probably want to get this in the same place as several other multi-kill trophies, on an attacking push or a defending group, however, if you can get an entire team to chase you down, then that’ll be pretty easy considering whether or not you can pull off your ult whilst they’re in a narrow corridor with no escape.
Keep in mind, your dragons will travel to the very ends of the map and through walls in the direction you launch it, whether it’s forwards, upwards or downwards, it’ll travel until there’s nowhere left to go.
![]() ![]() Knock an enemy into your Steel Trap using Junkrat’s Concussion Mine in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Junkrat is the Overwatch equivalent of the Joker and plays a role as a Defense Hero. His ability to build Steel Traps and plant Concussion Mines can be essential to winning your battles when combined with his grenade launcher. These two abilities paired off with his passive martyrdom upon death and ultimate ability puts Junkrat up there as one of the best Defense Builders in the game. For this trophy, we’ll be combining his Concussion Mine with his Steel Trap.
For starters, you should take notice that Junkrat’s Concussion Mine actually does 150 damage to enemies – a testament to the fact that it’s triggered manually and not automatically like other mine based equipment in-game – and the Steel Trap will do 75 so if you’re going to get this trophy on any assault or support character then don’t try it on a Tracer or Zenyatta as they’ll most likely die before even hitting the Steel Trap.
To efficiently grab this trophy, you’re going to need an enclosed space – take the restaurant outside the attackers spawn in Hanamura – and you’ll need to place a Steel Trap in the most open corner possible. This will allow you to launch your target into the corner, where they’ll be forced into a controlled descent right onto your trap. This method makes the trophy a hell of a lot easier than it would be trying to do it in an open space as that’d require both luck and mathematics put in.
![]() ![]() Kill 4 enemies with a single use of Junkrat’s RIP-Tire in Quick or Competitive Play. |
For this trophy, we’ll be using his ultimate ability: RIP-Tire.
RIP-Tire is a highly mobile explosive based ultimate ability. Due to its high mobility, it deals with less damage than D.VA’s self destruct, however, its 600 damage output is still a force to be reckoned with and it will mess up an attacking or defending team when it’s positioned correctly. This in mind, your RIP-Tire can also be destroyed by enemies who spot it, so use your traveling time well to come up around your enemies and flank them instead of attempting to roll up head first.
Note: You’re able to make your RIP-Tire Jump, however, this may make it more visible when it’s coming towards your enemies and makes your approach much riskier.
![]() ![]() Block 1200 damage with a single use of Mei’s Ice Wall in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Mei is the chilled out Defense hero, with the ability to freeze and annihilate her enemies using her weapon, she carries around 3 defense based abilities. For this trophy, we’ll be using her Ice Wall ability.
Now there is a very easy way to do this trophy which involves you putting up the wall in front of a Sentry Configurated Bastion, as normally Bastion players will just rip through anything that stands in their paths due to their reluctance to think about their ammunition or pick another hero. Bastion in Sentry mode can fire an astonishing 35 rounds per second at a damage rate of 4-14 per round, so have no doubt that you’ll get this trophy with ease if your wall goes up in front of one.
You could also put up the wall in front of an enemy attacker’s spawn and have a chance of grabbing the trophy if they all try to plow through it.
![]() ![]() Freeze 4 enemies at once with Mei in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Mei is the chilled out Defense hero, with the ability to freeze and annihilate her enemies using her weapon, she carries around 3 defense based abilities. For this trophy, we’ll be using her primary weapon as well as her ultimate.
Mei’s ultimate is Blizzard which applies an AOE freezing effect that lasts 5 seconds.
You’ll want to pair this off with your endothermic blaster on a group of enemies – eg. an attacker’s push onto an objective or a defenders grouping on or around an objective. This isn’t too hard of a trophy to achieve as when you begin to freeze enemies they slow down, allowing for more room when it comes to errors and furthermore allowing you to focus on freezing outside your ult radius if needed as those within your ult radius should be frozen down after a certain amount of time.
You should keep in mind that your primary can only freeze up a single target, so you will most definitely need your ult to freeze at least three enemies so you can grab this trophy.
![]() ![]() Kill 4 enemies during a single use of Torbjörn’s Molten Core in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Torbjörn’s Ultimate ability underwent a change. Now his old Ultimate has been changed to his ability which will do everything his old Ultimate did but for a much shorter amount of time. His new Ultimate, however, might make this trophy easier for some people but, harder for others, depending on your playstyle.
Torbjörn’s new Ultimate: Torbjörn creates pools of molten magma that deals massive, sustained damage (plus bonus damage to armor), and can prevent enemies from moving through key locations.
NOTE: It should be noted that the enemies do not need to die from the Ultimate itself but need to be killed while the Ultimate ability is activated.
Type | Arcing projectile + Area of effect (pools) |
Damage | Impact: 25 | Pools: 160 per second, +90 against armor |
Projectile Speed | 40 Meters Per-Second |
Area of Effect | 2.5 Meter interact radius |
Rate of Fire | 0.1375-second recovery |
Ammo | 10 |
Casting time | 0.5 Seconds |
Duration | Up to 5.5 seconds (claw) + 10 seconds (pools) |
Additional Notes:
- Torbjörn passively generates 1% Ult Charge every 4.284 seconds.
- Torbjörn’s weapon is temporarily replaced by his claw, which shoots out molten magma.
- Each shot will bounce until it hits the floor, at which point it will turn into a pool that deals damage over time.
- Against armor, the pools deal 250 damage per second.
- Damage from pools do not stack: two pools in the same area deal the same damage as one pool.
Tip:
It would probably be best to play with a friend, playing as Zarya. Using her Graviton Surge ability to group up 4 enemies in a “Capture the Point” map and throwing your Ultimate at them. However, Other people may steal the “final blow”. You may need to be the one getting the “final blows”. So, place down a turret, after you unleash your Ultimate, instantly use your ability and then spam
to deal as much damage as possible to ensure getting “final blows”. Playing with a full group of 6 friends can ensure that no one will steal a “final blow” from you, because you can tell them to stop shooting and also have a Reinhardt with you to shield you while the enemies in the Graviton Surge try to kill you.
Torbjörn’s Rework Trophy Guide
Credit to Face for the video.
![]() ![]() Absorb 500 armor damage with Torbjörn’s Overload without dying in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Due to an update, this trophy has become much easier to obtain.
Previously, to obtain this trophy you would have to throw down armor packs and hope that your teammates pick it up. However, due to a rework with Torbjörn’s abilities now only he gets armor, using his ability. Each time you use the
Ability you’ll gain 100 armor. After the ability wears off, the armor will disappear on its own. So to put it simply, stand in a corner and constantly activate this ability in order to get the trophy. You’ll have to activate the ability 5 times.
Ability Overview:
Torbjörn gains additional armor as well as improved attack, movement, and reload speed for a brief period.
Health | +100 armor |
Movement Speed | +30% buff |
Rate of Fire | Rivet Gun: 0.42-second recovery Forge Hammer: 0.62-second recovery, 0.24 seconds before initial swing |
Reload time | 1.4 Seconds (Rivet Gun) |
Duration | 5 Seconds |
Cooldown | 10 Seconds |
Additional Notes:
- Upon activation, there is a 0.7 second recovery period where Torbjörn cannot use his weapons or abilities (but he can still destroy his turret).
- Increases Rivet Gun’s fire rate and reload speed by ~43%.
- Increases Forge Hammer’s swing rate by ~37% and decreases the initial swing time by 0.11 seconds.
![]() ![]() Kill 4 enemies using Widowmaker’s Venom Mine during a single Quick or Competitive Play game. |
Widowmaker is a sly Defense based Sniper, she has an SMG which can turn into a Sniper along with three abilities. For this trophy, we’ll be using both Widowmaker’s SMG and her Venom Mine ability.
Widowmaker’s mine deals 75 damage overtime at a rate of 15 damage per second.
Meanwhile, her SMG deals damage at 13 per round, with a fire rate of 10 rounds per second.
Taking both these damage totals into account, you will need to poison your opponent AND reduce their health with the SMG to guarantee that you get a kill with the Venom Mine. Keep in mind, as long as the enemy is effected and taking damage from the Venom Mine then a kill against them will count towards this trophy total, the moment the poison fades the kill will no longer count and you’ll have to poison your opponent again.
This trophy should come easily with normal play as you should use mines to cover your flanks whilst sniping, if not then it’s suggested that rather than boosting you deliberately go for this trophy. This is one of the trophies where boosting should be your last resort, and if it is used, the method described in the Tips & Strategies section.
![]() ![]() Kill an enemy with a scoped headshot while airborne as Widowmaker in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Widowmaker is a sly Defense based Sniper, she has an SMG which can turn into a Sniper along with three abilities. For this trophy we’ll be using Widowmaker’s Sniper, however, we will NOT be using her Grappling hook to get us airborne.
Thanks to Plataclysm who gave the following advice for Smooth as Silk
For this trophy, you’re going to want to drop off a high ledge as opposed to jumping or using the grappling hook. The reason as to why you want to drop as opposed to jumping or grappling is because if you do anything but fire or move whilst scoped in you’ll be bought out of your scope and not only will you have to readjust your aim, you’ll also have to wait for Widowmaker’s sniper to charge to full power again so if you hit the head it’ll be guaranteed as a headshot.
A large issue with this trophy is that the Heroes that are guaranteed to die from the headshot have heads the same size as a small child, whereas the tanker heroes who aren’t guaranteed to die from the headshot have actual targetable heads, so it’s up to you whether you want to risk the headshot on the tanker heroes or not, but personal experience goes to show that it’s worth going for the ones you’re guaranteed to kill instead.
The headshot damage multiplier for Widowmaker was changed from x2 to x2.5, while this appears to be scaling to do with her base damage reduction (From 15 down to 12 using the sniper mode) you should still be able to do the same amount of damage with a headshot as you did pre-patch.
You will most likely spend quite a while attempting to obtain this trophy, however, if you do find it too hard to obtain don’t be afraid to join or create a boosting group using the method in Tips & Strategies as you’ll be able to knock out most of the other trophies too
![]() ![]() Prevent 1500 damage with a single use of D.va’s Defense Matrix in Quick or Competitive Play. |
D.VA is the complete and utter alternative of Shinji Ikari, playing her role in her mech as an Initiator Tank. In her mech she carries dual short-range fusion cannons as well as boasting 4 amazing initiation abilities, one of which is a passive that allows her to abandon her mech upon its destruction, giving her a chance to fight back and summon a new one with her trusty light gun. For this trophy, we’ll be using her Defense Matrix.
Defense Matrix lasts 4 seconds when fully charged and its charge can be seen via a meter on the screen. When used by holding , she will block all damage coming her way. When going for this trophy, wait until the ability is fully charged before using it. Your recharge will trigger 1 second after your last use of the Defense Matrix as of patch 1.08.
The best opponent to face for this trophy is Bastion in Sentry mode as he can fire an astonishing 35 rounds per second at a damage rate of 4-15 per round.
If Bastion hits all his rounds on D.VA for these four seconds whilst she’s in her Defense Matrix, then D.VA can essentially block 140 rounds fired by Bastion. If done at close range (0 – 35 meters) then this can equal up to 2100 damage, poping you the trophy. In order to ensure you absorb all the damage, let the bastion shot at you before you put up your defense matrix.
![]() ![]() Kill 4 enemies with a single use of D.va’s Self Destruct in Quick or Competitive Play. |
For this trophy, we’ll be using her ultimate: Self Destruct.
Self Destruct does exactly what it says on the tin; D.VA overcharges her mech and ejects from it, giving her 4 seconds to take cover before the mech self destructs. This causes enemies in the vicinity a total of 1000 damage each, making it an insta-kill against anyone as long as Lucio doesn’t pop his ultimate which would block off a majority of the damage, allowing tanks to stay alive. This in mind, the range is moderate and doesn’t extend to stupid lengths allowing people time to move away if they notice the mech self-destructing.
You can pair this off with her Boosters to turn D.VA’s mech into a speeding missile for your own personal use if needed. The best place to try for this trophy is by firing your mech into objectives. If you see 4 or more people at a flag or on a payload, make use of her boosters to throw your ultimate in from a distance. It should also be noted that as of the latest patch when using your Self Destruct as D.VA, the explosion no longer damages you.
![]() ![]() Block 8000 damage with Reinhardt’s Barrier Field without dying in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Reinhardt is a nice and stable Tank Hero. He can push his team forwards using his Barrier Field and eliminate enemies when he manages to get close enough using his Rocket Hammer, with 3 other abilities on top of these tools he is one of the easier Tanks to pick up and play in Overwatch. For this trophy, we’ll be using his Barrier Field.
Reinhardt’s Barrier Field can block 2000 damage per full charge and is essential for moving an attacking team forwards past heavily fortified defenses. If you happen to become the Reinhardt on your team, you’ll probably be able to get this trophy by moving in and out of the line of fire using your Barrier Field. For this strategy – if you haven’t figured it out – you’ll move out into the line of fire and wait for your shield to hit 200-500 damage left to block before hiding behind a wall and then waiting for it to recharge, then walk back out again – Rinse and Repeat.
![]() ![]() Land Reinhardt’s Fire Strike and Charge after an Earthshatter stun in Quick or Competitive Play. |
For this trophy, we’ll be using all three of his abilities.
Reinhardt’s ultimate ability is Earthshatter, a ranged stun based on an area in front of him upon slamming down his hammer. For this trophy, you’ll want to get a small group stunned or even a tank, after this you’ll have to land your Fire Strike and Charge, which shouldn’t be too hard as you can follow up with these abilities pretty quickly animation wise.
You’ll also want to keep in mind what your abilities do:
- Earthshatter – Deals 50 damage to a large area in front of you, each enemy caught in the middle of your Earthshatter get stunned for a short period of time, this is the window you’ll have to aim and set up your follow up abilities.
- Fire Strike – Reinhardt swings his hammer, firing off a projectile in a single direction that can pierce enemy Reinhardt Barriers but will be stopped upon contact with a wall. This move deals 100 damage to whomever it hits and can only hit one opponent
- Charge – Reinhardt goes flying in a charge based posture towards his enemies, contact with Reinhardt in this position deals 50 damage, however, if you run directly in front of Reinhardt after he pops this ability he’ll pin you and put you into the nearest wall, dealing an increased 300 damage instead.
![]() ![]() Interrupt an enemy ultimate ability with Roadhog’s Hook in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Roadhog is a self-sufficient tank. He carries a Scrap Gun that can fire not only like a shotgun but also a mid-range spike ball. With three other abilities – including one that allows him to heal himself – Roadhog is definitely one of the characters to use if you’re new to the game. For this trophy, we’ll be using his Chain Hook ability.
Roadhog’s Chain Hook is fired in a single direction and will pull enemies towards you when you catch them with it as well as stunning them. For this trophy, you’ll probably want to hook a McCree who’s in the middle of Deadeye as this is the ultimate ability that has the most window of time for an interruption.
The reason that you can’t get as many people with the hook mid-ult as you can with McCree’s flashbang for Woah There! is that the hook actually needs a bit longer to travel than the Flashbang does, however you can get people from a much better range with the hook than the flashbang.
![]() ![]() Knock 2 enemies to their deaths with one use of Roadhog’s Whole Hog in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Roadhog is a self-sufficient tank. He carries a Scrap Gun that can fire not only like a shotgun but also a mid-range spike ball. With three other abilities – including one that allows him to heal himself – Roadhog is definitely one of the characters to use if you’re new to the game. For this trophy, we’ll be using his ultimate ability: Whole Hog.
The whole Hog takes Roadhog’s Scrap Gun and turns it into a rapid-fire weapon that not only deals 5000 damage in its 6-second duration but also knocks enemies back.
For this trophy, you’ll need to knock two enemies off a ledge with the same Whole Hog activation. There are several prime areas for this – especially on control maps as they contain many areas for enemies to be pushed off, whether they’re near a ledge or not. There’s not much to this scenario that can be explained other than you’ll need to time your attack just right to catch two enemies off guard fast enough to push them off.
This is quite an awkward trophy and if you do decide you want to boost it then you can use the method in Tips & Strategies to set up a lobby so you can boost it.
![]() ![]() Destroy 10 turrets or traps using Winston’s Tesla Cannon without dying in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Winston is a defensive Tank Hero. He relies on being able to drop defenses for his allies and move around at the same time without them being affected. He possesses 3 abilities as well as a Tesla Cannon. For this trophy, we’ll be using his Tesla Cannon
Winston’s Tesla Cannon is an essential tool for minesweeping and face checking, allowing him to go into tight spaces crowded by turrets and take them down in rapid succession with ease whilst his high health total keeps him from being completely wiped out by them.
For this trophy, however, you’ll need to keep yourself away from being noticed by the enemy team. Winston may be a tank but he’s a tank based around face-checking – seeing where enemies are and where their equipment has been placed personally, not using scans like Widowmaker or Hanzo. Because he normally goes in through the door first he can usually place a shield down to keep him covered from anyone who’s camping in the corner next to him… However, if you try and run into combat whilst grabbing this trophy then you’ll find the 3 damage per round (at a rate of 20 rounds per second and 100 rounds per charge of his Tesla Cannon) quite hard to work with, especially if you find yourself against several enemies.
(As of patch 1.25 Symmetra can only place 3 turrets at a time) whereas Junkrat can only place 2 items before his cooldowns just take over, making him a much worse opponent to get this against as you’ll need to survive longer.
With the release of Wrecking Ball, this trophy is now super easy. Wrecking Ball’s ultimate deploys 15 mines. Each mine has 50 health and Winston’s Tesla Cannon does 60 damage a second so if wrecking ball deploys his ultimate once or twice you can easily get the trophy. You can also boost this trophy with one person.
![]() ![]() Damage 6 enemies during a single use of Winston’s Primal Rage in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Winston is a defensive Tank Hero. He relies on being able to drop defenses for his allies and move around at the same time without them being affected. He possesses 3 abilities as well as a Tesla Cannon. For this trophy, we’ll be using his ultimate ability: Primal Rage.
Primal Rage makes Winston absolutely bananas (hahaha kill me please). He gains a total of 500 health to both his current health and his maximum health. However, this addition of health and the fact that Winston is now absolutely bananas means that he wants to smash everything in sight, due to this he can only pounce or perform melee attacks against enemies.
For this trophy, you’ll be required to hit 6 enemies in the middle of your Primal Rage, this can prove to be quite troublesome if your team keeps eliminating enemies as you need to hit the ENTIRE enemy team for it to pop and the respawn times on enemies will be too long if they’re eliminated mid-ult. It’s recommended that you save your Pounce ability to close gaps between you and your enemies as using it to leap on someone right next to you is pretty much a waste in this situation.
![]() ![]() Keep Zarya’s particle cannon above 70 power for 60 seconds in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Zarya is a self-sufficient Tank. She has three abilities and two fire modes. We’ll be using two of her abilities for this trophy and they are her Personal and Allied shields, default assigned to and
.
Zarya’s shields, when taking damage, allow her to boost the power of her weapon. This allows her to turn her opponents’ power against them. For this trophy, you need to keep your power level above 70 for 60 seconds consecutively, it’s suggested that you do this with a friend who’s playing a tank so they don’t die to enemy fire as easily – preferably roadhog so they can heal the damage they take outside the shield. While you can run out and take damage with your shield, you may find it easier to send you allies out to take the damage for your power, however, this comes down to your preferred playstyle.
![]() ![]() Capture 5 enemies in a single use of Zarya’s Graviton Surge in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Zarya is a self-sufficient Tank. She has three abilities and two fire modes on her weapon, We’ll be using her ultimate ability for this trophy: Graviton Surge.
Zarya’s ultimate – Graviton Surge – is a black hole ability that deals light/moderate DoT to enemies trapped in its grasp, as well as pulling them towards its origin point. To capture 5 enemies in a single-use requires both skill and luck, as you’ll need to have 5 people in the same general area not focusing on you so you can place your ult in an appropriate area to get your trophy. It’s therefore recommended you attempt to pull this off on either CONTROL or ASSAULT against DEFENDING teams.
Defending teams are more likely to be in the same general area on an objective, therefore making them much easier pickings for you to drop a Graviton Surge on top of.
![]() ![]() Get a 20 player kill streak in Quick or Competitive Play. |
You should be able to get this trophy quite easily through natural progression. As long as you get a fire symbol (for participating in an elimination/assist) come up on your screen then that will count as a “kill” towards your total streak, get 20 participations and/or kills and you should get this trophy with ease, don’t forget to play someone that you’re good with if you’re not confident in your ability to get this trophy.

![]() ![]() Get 3 killing blows while wall riding as Lúcio without dying in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Lucio is all-round support and has 3 abilities, two fire modes, and two different buffs. For this trophy, it’s recommended that you use his Primary fire as opposed to his Secondary to guarantee that kills register.
Before you even attempt this trophy, go into options, then over to controls and switch over the buttons for Ability 1 () and Jump (
) as having Jumped on
makes it hell on earth to aim at the same time, whilst having it on
gives you a lot more flexibility.
Whilst it is agreeably easier and a hell of a lot more fun to launch people off the side of a cliff using Soundwave (Lucio’s Secondary Fire), I recommend you don’t as it doesn’t always register the kill as a wall running kill. Instead, you’re going to have to do this the hard way and use your primary fire (Sonic Amplifier) to guarantee the kill registers. Unfortunately, Sonic Amplifier does next to no damage, at 16 per hit multiplied by the 4 projectiles fired per shot. That’s 64 damage if all of your projectiles hit which, if you’re attempting to do this legitimately, can turn your life into hell.
ATTENTION! – As part of the Ana patch, Blizzard has changed Lucio so that he no longer falls off of walls after 3 seconds of riding and will transition a lot more smoothly onto walls when he hits a sharp corner, this means you’ll be able to ride longer walls giving you more time to take down your opponents. For whatever reason, this was not mentioned in the patch notes. For a more visual look into these changes, check out the second video attached to this tip.
This trophy has to be one of the most frustrating in Overwatch to obtain due to the lack of walls to run on, therefore it’s recommended that you boost it with a boosting party or friends. You can set up a boosting session using the boost method located in the Tips & Strategies section of the guide

![]() ![]() Block 1000 damage with a single use of Lúcio’s Sound Barrier in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Lucio is all-round support and has 3 abilities, two fire modes, and two different buffs. For this trophy, we’ll be using his Ultimate Ability: Sound Barrier.
Sound Barrier allows Lucio to grant his team an “Overheal” and he’s the only character that has this ability in the entire game. Lucio’s overheal grants a large amount of extra health to his teammates so it shouldn’t be too hard to accumulate 1000 damage blocked if you decide to rush an objective or defend from an opposing rush, however, it’s much easier to get this trophy with a premade team. If you don’t have friends who own Overwatch or need more people to join then check out the DexDotExe Discord Overwatch area to grab some people.
![]() ![]() Restore 200 health for 5 allies without dying as Mercy in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Mercy is a Healer Support, she has a staff that can both Heal and Buff allies, a secondary pistol and three abilities. For this trophy, we’ll be using the heal function of Mercy’s staff.
Mercy’s staff has the ability to heal allies for 50hp per second, this means we’ll be spending four seconds with each of our allies to heal them, you can only heal allies when they’re damaged and you should keep track of who you’re healing whilst always healing more than you feel you need to just so you can make sure that your trophy pops. A good way to get to allies is using her “Guardian Angel” ability which is by default bound to as it allows her to fly in their direction. Keep out of danger though as her pistol – while it does deal good damage for support – will not hold up against something like a Solider 76 or Tracer without you knowing exactly what you’re doing.
We’ll really want our team to be using tanks for this trophy, so the best way of getting this set up is to have the whole team as premade players, you can either grab friends or use the DEXDOTEXE Discord Overwatch boosting section of the site to find a group.
![]() ![]() Resurrect 6 allies without dying as Mercy in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Mercy has been reworked in a past update that has changed the way this trophy is earned.
Mercy now has a with a 30-second cool-down to resurrect a single Allie. So for this trophy, you must resurrect 6 allies without dying to earn the trophy. It’s best you stay behind as you’ll be targetted by enemies. Don’t risk reviving an Allie in the middle of the battlefield, you’ll probably die before your Allie is even revived. Play smart and don’t rush it.
A boosting method would be to have a friend play Pharah. Pharah can kill herself with her main attack which allows you to resurrect her in a safe spot. Repeat 6 times and the trophy is yours.
If you want to get this out the way that badly, then you can set up a team with your friends or a group from the DexDotExe Overwatch boosting section of the site.
![]() ![]() Hit an enemy with 3 beams simultaneously as Symmetra in Quick or Competitive Play. |
There has been a patch released as of 6/29/2018 (patch 1.25) that only allows Symmetra to place down 3 turrets making this easy trophy even easier. You can place down 2 turrets and shoot your beam weapon or you can hit an enemy with 3 turrets.
Symmetra is a Damage-Based Support, with her Photon Projector that can launch charged projectiles and a beam that increases in damage dealt over time and three abilities. For this trophy, we’ll be using her Photon Project’s primary beam and her Sentry Turrets.
Symmetra can place turrets in strategic positions around the map to surprise enemies who run unexpectedly through doorways or small corridors. You’ll have 3 turrets maximum for your reserve and you’ll only be able to drop 6 turrets simultaneously.
For this trophy, you’ll want to drop six turrets in a doorway or small corridor, hidden away from enemies so that they don’t notice and then destroy them, this also gives you the window to lose one to any enemy fire that might manage to hit the turrets in their concealed positions – most likely Grenades launched from Junkrat bouncing around, Mei’s Ult if you’re mid-game and other explosive AoE effects. Once the enemy falls into your trap, run up to them and primary fire just to make sure that you have at least 6 beams on them – a turret may fail to proc if they’re spread out too much – to seal the deal and pop the trophy.
You can pull this off at the attacker’s spawn or again in a doorway or corridor, but it’s one of the easier trophies in Overwatch to obtain.
![]() ![]() Teleport 20 allies in a single Quick or Competitive Play game as Symmetra. |
This is a super simple trophy to get, although the description says “allies” you count towards the trophy. Essentially the easiest method for the trophy, place your teleporter down in spawn and run through it yourself
![]() ![]() Get 4 kills or assists with Zenyatta’s Orb of Discord within 6 seconds in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Zenyatta is both the Synergist and the Saboteur Support Hero, with two firing methods with his orbs and three abilities to compliment them. For this trophy, you’ll be using his Orb of Discord and every ounce of mental strength you have to survive if you’re doing this legitimately.
ATTENTION! – Blizzard has fixed a bug that causes the Rapid Discord trophy to not pop after a time calculation error within the game. You should be able to get this trophy much more easily with this bug being cleared up.
Due to high demand, a strategy for Rapid Discord has been added, as opposed to telling you to just boost. Deepest apologies to those who were looking for a legitimate strategy in the previous versions of the guide.
Zenyatta is an extremely squishy Hero and because of this, you won’t be able to get Rapid Discord by running headfirst into battle by yourself, luckily enough you more than likely won’t be alone if you’re playing with a competent team. Unfortunately, Overwatch isn’t known for its competent random teams as they’re most likely 5 other people who have the skill of dead gophers dropped down onto keyboards.
In light of the dead gopher theorem, you’ll want to gather some friends who can both keep you alive and deal with the enemies that you drop your discord orbs onto. Remember that while it would be nice to have a full damage team so you can deal with enemies so quick that the announcer hasn’t got time to announce their deaths, you’ll probably want a Reinhardt to block off any big damage dealers on the enemy team – Bastion and Tjorborn especially who can catch you out and screw your life up.
Your Orb of Discord will increase any damage your targeted opponent takes by 50% so it shouldn’t be too hard if you have a couple of Soldier 76’s or even a Bastion for you to take down opponents, the only difficulty you may find is getting your team to focus on your debuffed targets one after the other, this will require an extreme level of both co-ordination and positioning from your team to ensure targets do not escape and are eliminated when they need to be. To do so, you should make use of Zenyatta’s orb of destruction, a 45 damage per hit weapon, as opposed to his charged multi-orb attack which deals 35 per charge that hits, this will give you around 60 damage per hit with a debuffed target. You should also keep in mind that this trophy will become much easier if you target low health opponents as they’ll be quicker to kill – a given fact no matter what kills trophy you go for anyways.
Unfortunately, Rapid Discord is almost impossible to do legitimately unless you have a great deal of patience or are a literal god at playing Zenyatta. The trophy requires you to have your Orb of Discord on an enemy while they die, then move it to the next to die and the next and finally the fourth all within six seconds.
This is one trophy that is strongly recommended to be boosted due to a legitimate method that makes it easier not having been produced yet – there’s high doubt too there ever being one. Follow the method in Tips & Strategies to get your boosting group together for this anti-christ trophy.
![]() ![]() Restore 1500 health with a single use of Zenyatta’s Transcendence in Quick or Competitive Play. |
As of the latest patch, Zenyatta’s speed has been doubled while using Transcendence and the healing power increased from 200 to 300 per second. If you were struggling with this trophy before, it should be somewhat easier now.
Zenyatta is both the Synergist and the Saboteur Support Hero, with two firing methods with his orbs and three abilities to compliment them. For this trophy, we’ll be using his ultimate ability: Transcendence.
Transcendence is an AOE heal that heals 300 health per second and renders Zenyatta invincible for the duration of the ultimate. You’ll want to activate this on a push against your opponents or a defensive play, however, you’ll want a pre-made team who are willing to put their lives on the line to get you this trophy, you can get your friends or people from the Overwatch boosting section of the DexDotExe Discord server.
Alternatively, you could use the boosting method described in the Tips & Strategies section of the guide and fix up a scenario where you get the enemy team to knock out the damage against your allies as soon as you pop your ult – 1 Zen and 5 tanks vs 6 Bastions – making the trophy much more likely to pop.
![]() ![]() Win a Capture map on defense without losing the first objective in Quick or Competitive Play. |
PATCH 1.04 – TROPHY HAS BEEN FIXED! REJOICE!
This trophy should come pretty naturally for you, however, you’re required to have a solid defense to keep enemies off of your objective. Taking this into account, you should be able to get this trophy with ease on Hanamura as there are only actually two entry points that you need to keep eyes on for the majority of the attacking team – exceptions being Reaper and Tracer who can just TP past your defenses with ease. These chokepoints are easily exploited and are usually exploited by normal players, though it’s not guaranteed you’ll get the trophy with this map and strategy they will give you the highest chance.
Obtaining this trophy in Hanamura
Hanamura is recognized as one of the easiest maps to defend on, the first objective has attackers attempt to push through a one door gate which is easily defendable as well as a small opening to the top right of the gate (if you’re looking from the defense side)
Bastion is a great choice for this map as he can quickly pin down enemies who try to push through the main gate, as well as eliminating those who pop up through the opening in the top right, however, you’ll want someone who can defend the corners of the area as well due to the fact that there’s a building to the left with an opening on the ground floor that your opponents can get into which leads to a bridge that leads to a flanking point of the defend objective.
Obtaining this trophy in Volskaya Industries
Volskaya Industries has a great number of defense points, however, there are equally enough openings past the front gate that your enemy can exploit to defeat you, because of this positioning will be key but there are some areas where you can keep held down and in control of the battle.
Personally, I found that Symmetra was quite useful on this map and she’s the character I managed to get the trophy with on this map in the end by placing her turrets over the entrance in the beginning, then moving them to the outside walls of the small room covering the objective. This room has a med-pack spawner inside and is quite small, however, you can only be attacked from one opening in the room – which is facing the objective and has a good field of view on the surroundings – which makes it one of the best positions to defend from as Bastion or Torbjörn. If you’re playing Symmetra you could even drop a teleporter in there for safe and strategically sound movement of your team back into the fight.
Obtaining this trophy in The Temple of Anubis
The Temple of Anubis is the most even of the maps for both attack and defense with amazing opportunities for defending teams to pin down the attackers, however, it also allows attackers a substantial amount of cover to move up and flank the defending team.
While setting up in front of the first gate as Bastion or setting down a turret as Torbjörn may seem like a good idea, there is a good amount of space for Pharah to mailbox some rockets directly whilst being a good distance away from you so they can take you down before you even realize where they’re firing from. Instead, I’d recommend turning to Symmetra and utilizing her turrets instead, placing them in the rooms next to the gate where enemies will normally move to keep out of the mainstream fire they expect from running down the middle.
As for defense on your objective, rig the surrounding rooms once again, enemies will try and duck into them both for cover and the med packs that they contain, so keep an eye out for enemies who’re dashing for those mid-fight, try and take them down before they do.
These strategies will be continually updated with new information, images, and even videos if the moment arises, keep an eye out if you’re still trying for the trophy and maybe you’ll find a strategy to suit you!
If you need to get a team together for this trophy, don’t forget to use the Overwatch boosting section of the DexDotExe Discord server.
![]() ![]() Capture both objectives on a Capture map without dying in Quick or Competitive Play. |
You’ll get this trophy over time, hence there’s no need to deliberately go for it unless you really want to. If you are pushing yourself to get this trophy, take time to consider the following:
- Picks – It will be around half a minute into the game when you can see your opponents picks, make sure you consider the defensive positioning on the map based on their picks and then make your moves accordingly, just because there’s a Reaper rushing spawn doesn’t mean that Bastion isn’t hidden around the corner behind him waiting for you to completely screw up.
- Counters – In retrospect to checking your opponents’ picks, you should also go ahead and learn counters, this will make your attempt at this trophy a hell of a lot easier. If you don’t know your counters, then check out this article by PC GAMER that will help you learn some of the more obvious counters, as well as a couple of obscure ones.
- Health – Keep a good eye on your health bar, if you just captured objective A and have half health left, don’t move onto B unless you’re sure you can get there without dying – which you probably won’t – or unless you pick up a health pack or move back to your spawn healing zone.
- Team – Your team is essential to getting this trophy, if you’re all trying to push with separate strategies then everything will fall apart, you can either grab your friends or head over to the Overwatch boosting section of the DexDotExe Discord server to grab yourself a competent team.
![]() ![]() Push a payload 100 meters without leaving it in Quick or Competitive Play. |
You’ll get this trophy in the Escort or Hybrid game modes.
Pushing the payload 100 meters is no easy task, however, if you keep enemies away from it and play someone with a decent amount of health so you don’t die then you should be able to get this done somewhat with ease.
Keep in mind that while you’re stood next to the payload as an attacker you will receive a periodic heal, which means you won’t need to break away from it to grab health packs if you’re damaged.
If you require a group to make this trophy somewhat easier, check out the Overwatch boosting section of the DexDotExe Discord server.
![]() ![]() Prevent the attacking team from touching the payload for 1 minute in Quick or Competitive Play. |
You’ll get this trophy in the Escort or Hybrid game modes.
Defending the payload from being touched by attackers is actually pretty easy if you had solid positioning with Bastion’s Configuration: Turret or Torbjörn’s turrets. Just keep your opponents from moving or contesting the payload, this should come naturally anyway as you’re bound to come across some terrible teams in your career.
Defenders will NOT be healed by the payload, take a support with you to keep your defenses as solid as possible.
If you require a group to make this trophy somewhat easier, check out the Overwatch boosting section of the DexDotExe Discord server.
![]() ![]() Win a Control map without the enemy capturing an objective in Quick or Competitive Play. |
Note: There have been reports of this trophy not popping for people who have cleared the requirements. You’ll have to just keep trying and you will eventually get it.
For this trophy, you’ll need to coordinate with your team to take and hold the objective on Control for both matches without failing, it’s suggested you use a Lucio to move your team quickly into a defensive position to ambush your opponents as they come into the objective, as well as to give AOE healing.
If you don’t have a pre-made team, check out the Overwatch boosting section of the DexDotExe Discord server.
![]() ![]() Win a Quick or Competitive Play game on 12 different maps. |
You need to win a match on each of the maps, keep track of using this list. If you want to know more about the game modes that these maps take place on, take a look at the Tips & Strategies section of the guide.
These are the 12 maps that shipped with the game:
Hanamura Temple of Anubis Volskaya Industries | Dorado Watchpoint Gibraltar Route 66 | Kings Row Numbani Hollywood | Nepal Lijang Tower Ilios |
Additionally, Blizzard has updated the game with a new map; Eichenwalde. This map has a very easy to hold choke point at the start for the defense so if you and your team manage to hold it – which really isn’t that hard – you can strike off one of the harder maps above as a need to win on. Other maps have also been added since this.
