Introduction:

Welcome to the MotoGP™ 20 Trophy Guide!
MotoGP™ 20 has a very similar feel to the 2019 instalment of the game, however Milestone S.r.l have once again improved on a very successful franchise. The gameplay and controls have once again changed had major improvements to give a more realistic feel to things when on the bike.

Improvements have also been made to the graphics and feel of the game, with faster loading times and more details within the grandstands and tracks.
The trophy list this year will give you no where near the difficulty factor as last year, so you’ll be in for a treat if you’re going for the Platinum Trophy.

Roadmap:

Step 1: Time Trial
You’ll need to complete 25 valid Time Trial Laps. Pick your favourite track and simply glide around without touching too many kerbs and going off track to quickly complete this mode.

During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Bronze Fast Lap Specialist
Silver Steaming Wheels

Step 2: Online
Online is pretty simple again this year, as you are able to race the 3 laps of your preferred track with only 1 boosting partner.
If you get into another lobby bare in mind that on this version you do not actually have to complete the race for it too count. You only have to still be within the lobby when the countdown timer at the end of the race finishes.

If you are struggling to find a boosting partner feel free to head over to our Discord to find a very helpful group of gamers!

During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Bronze Debut
Bronze Rookie Rider
Bronze Expert Rider
Silver Professional Rider

Step 3: Historic Mode
Historic Mode is a cake walk compared to what was on offer in MotoGP 19, however you are looking at a good amount of hours to get this done. Everything can be achieved in Easy Mode, but this will double, if not triple your time to get it completed.
For time you are best to be completing the Intermediate Challenges as a priority.

If you do come up against a challenge that you cannot complete, then you are able to force the 24 cycle of the challenges by closing the game down and setting your clock forward a day within the setting of the system.

You’ll be earning these trophies:
Bronze A Dive into the Past
Bronze First Draw
Bronze Card Hunter
Silver Historical Legend
Silver The Collector
Gold Collection Completed

Step 4: Career Mode
Similar to last year, as these Championship specific trophies can be completed in any order. You have the option to select any championship to enter once you start out you standard career, which means that as soon as the trophy pops you’ll be able to quit and start a new career in the relevant championship you want to do next to speed up time.

You can of course stay on and finish the specific championship to try and obtain a more powerful bike in the next season, however as the races this year are a minimum 25% race distance (4-7 Laps) it is worth quitting and starting a new career and finishing of the races you didn’t need to race within the next step; this way you will be able to race 3 Lap races and speed things up even further.

You’ll be earning these trophies:
Bronze Winter is Here
Bronze Let’s start develop
Bronze Last Chance
Bronze Pole-Man
Bronze Test Rider
Bronze Fast Like a Rabbit
Bronze A Deal’s a Deal
Bronze Split-Second Battles
Bronze Teamwork
Silver Tyres and Fuel
Silver Professional Test Rider
Silver Chrono King
Silver All For One
Silver Moto3™ Champion
Silver Moto2™ Champion
Gold MotoGP™ Champion

Bronze Desert Prince
Bronze First Place in Thailand
Bronze Star-Spangled Victory
Bronze Two-Wheeled Tango
Bronze Spanish Success
Bronze A Spectacular Race
Bronze Stylish First Place
Bronze Crowned Victory
Bronze German Victory
Bronze The Graduate
Bronze A New Track
Bronze A Race to Remember
Bronze High-Flying Victory
Bronze For the Queen
Bronze Riviera Victory
Bronze A Hard-Earned Victory
Bronze The Samurai
Bronze A Victory Through the Wind
Bronze Malaysian Roar
Bronze Drop the Curtain!

Step 5: Custom Championship / Grand Prix
This is where you will want to clean up those track related trophies that you didn’t win during your Career Mode. You will also need to include the 2 tracks that are not part of the official MotoGP™ Calendar, as they did not feature in any other mode that would enable you to obtain the trophy.

During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Bronze Tea-Time Success
Bronze California Victory

40-platinum MotoGP™ Hero

Tips and Strategies:

I will firstly stress that the mechanics in this years version have changed somewhat. Having recently played the 2018 & 2019 version of the game I was expecting very similar gameplay. This however was not the case, as I almost had to teach myself how to play the game again. The gameplay mechanics have improved so dramatically that it will feel like a completely new franchise and game.

The AI in this years’ version appear to be braking really early and accelerate then into and through the corner. They also appear to take a very specific line into corners that is not necessarily the “ideal trajectory” as shown within the game.
This played havoc with the way in which I personally play the game, as it seemed that I was able to overtake a number of AI into the corner, but as I was still braking they would pile into the back of me on entrance to the corners.
You will need to keep this in mind until you adjust your style ever so slightly.

Acceleration out of a corner whilst on the side of the tyre is not as good useful as in previous years. This is in parallel to the way in which a real MotoGP™ would behave on track, as you would need to get the bike onto the “fat part of the tyre” in order to feel the real acceleration. Try to get your bike upright as soon as possible and rely less on corner speed.

As with other years you can play this one on Easy AI Difficulty for the Career Mode, however you are looking at 25% race distance as a minimum for these modes. This will mean anywhere between 4-7 laps per race (depending on which track/formula you are in). It is therefore recommended to quit the current Career as soon as you have won it and restart a new one in the different class that you need. There is no need to finish the season, as you can complete all remaining tracks within a Custom Championships on 3 Lap Races.

Tyres and Fuel upscale-245262160018212
Complete 10 races with Tyre Wear and Fuel Consumption in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode

If you’re playing on Easy AI having Tyre Wear and Fuel Consumption enabled is nothing more than an inconvenience. It doesn’t really add too much to the difficulty of the game and the only real potential hazard is that you run out of fuel during the race.
These setting can be enabled from  the pre race screen prior to entering the Weekend/Race.

Best advice here would be to put on some Medium Tyres and ensure that the Power ratio is set to Zero. Having the ratio at 1 can also be a risk, as on occasions you will still run out of fuel.

Historical Legend upscale-245262160018212
Win 10 races in Historic Mode

Within Historic Mode you have the option to participate within Easy, Intermediate, or Hard Sessions in order to secure currency/rewards that you will need to use in order to purchase the Historic Riders/Teams
All you will need to do for this is to win ten of the events on any of the difficulty sessions.

Professional Rider upscale-245262160018212
Complete 25 multiplayer races

For this trophy you will need to complete 25 Online Races, either through Public or Private Races.
It is highly suggested that you find yourself a boosting partner for this one and play in Private Races, as these kinds of games tend to become dead online pretty quickly.

Once you’ve got your boosting partner head into Private Race and select Germanys’ Sachsenring, as this track has the fastest lap times of all the tracks in the MotoGP calendar, set the distance to 3 Laps and cruise around with your buddy.

You do not need to finish the races in order for them to count, you only need to be within the lobby at the end of the 40 seconds countdown once someone has finished the race.

Steaming Wheels upscale-245262160018212
Complete 25 valid laps in Time Attack mode

Head into “Quick Modes”, “Time Trial” and set up with your favourite track & bike settings. There is no time limit here, so you can just take your time and glide around.
Not every kerb will invalidate a lap when you touch it, but it’s best to stay away from them at all times. Crashing will also invalidate a lap, so make sure you are being careful.

I would suggest that you do complete any invalidated lap, as if you pause and restart it may not count the previous laps.

Chrono King upscale-245262160018212
Reach the Qualifying objective 20 times in Career mode

Firstly I must state that you actually will need to participate in Qualifying in order to unlock this trophy. This may sound like an obvious statement, however, it is not entirely as clear as it could be.

Depending on what team you are in and how good your bike is will determine what you objective is during Qualifying. All objectives will be similar too “Reach the Fourth Row”, “Reach the Front Row” etc…
For those knowing the format of the MotoGP™ Qualifying will know that finishing the Practice Sessions with the fastest combined time will net you a spot in Qualifying 2 automatically and therefore enabling you to Qualify at minimum on the fourth row.
This is where my opening statement becomes relative; you cannot get the trophy this way if you then chose to skip Qualifying based on your Practice Session timings.

This does not need to be done within one career and can be spread across multiple, if you chose to minimise your time and reset the careers as explained in the Roadmap Step 4.

All For One upscale-245262160018212
Reach the Race objective 20 times in Career mode

You will be set an objective for the Qualifying & Race prior to starting the weekend. These will be similar too “Finish in the Top 15” etc.

The lesser the quality of the team, the easier the objective is to obtain. All you will need to do is ensure you win every race you participate in and there will be no problems obtaining this trophy as you progress through you 3 Career Seasons required.

Professional Test Rider upscale-245262160018212
Complete 10 Development Tests in Career mode

You need to enable at least one “Free Practice Session” in order to participate in Development Tests. You’ll only need to do this for 4 races if you are able to complete all the tests available.

Once you are in Free Practice you are given 3 different tests at each race and you need to complete them all in the first session. My advice would be to complete the shortest one “Distance Analysis” in 10 different race weekends, as you’ll be able to use these lap times towards your Qualifying Objectives.

Moto3™ Champion upscale-245262160018212
Win the Moto3™ Championship in Career mode as a rider

Same as last year as these Championship specific trophies can be completed in any order. You have the option to select any championship to enter once you start out you standard career, which means that as soon as the trophy pops you’ll be able to quit and start a new career in the relevant championship you want to do next.

You have the option however to move up through the classes, as you will be offered a new contract with a different team/class halfway through the season. This also offers the possibility of receiving a better bike for the upcoming season.

Important – You need to resist the urge to climb to the Moto2™ Championship quickly. You will be given the option half way through the season to change teams, which may also include a Moto2™ team. If this is accepted you will need to do another season in the Moto3™ class to unlock Silver Moto3™ Champion.

The trophy will be awarded once you have sufficient points to be at the top of the championship and it is mathematically impossible for anyone else to match your points total.

As with the race specific trophies this can be completed on Easy & minimum lap races with all the options added that you feel the need for.

Collection Completed Gold
Unlock every Rider and Team in Historic Mode

This years “Historic Mode” is just as thrilling as last year, but thankfully no where near as hard. This year it is mostly about time and how you cope with the different difficulties available. The higher the difficulty you are able to compete in the quicker you will be able to obtain this trophy.

The premise of this year is to obtain credits by completing events and then purchase Historic Racers/Teams post event. In order for you to be able to purchase one of the 77 options available you will need to finish within the Top3 of the event. This will also give you a new event to participate in.

The events will reset every 24 hours, however if you come up against an event that you cannot complete you can reset these by manually changing the Date on your system. Just remember to close the game first and then go back into it once the date has changed.

There is no definitive amount of “Credits” that is required for all 77 available options, as the price/cost of each will vary upon getting the option at the end of the race. My best advice for this trophy would to be to keep playing the Intermediate Challenge as much as possible. You will need at minimum 26 Races completed in order to purchase the Riders/Teams available, and that is if you have enough credits every time you get the option.
There is nothing worse than not having enough credits to purchase all 3 options available when they come to you.

There is no chance of you missing any of the options; as long as you keep playing they will all appear to you.

MotoGP™ Champion Gold
