Introduction:
Welcome to the MotoGP 18 Trophy Guide!
A new year and a new instalment from Milestone S.r.l; this year follows the 2018 season and is very similar to the previous MotoGP games. Gameplay and Graphics have been improved with this years game, so hopefully you’ll notice the improvements made.
This year has another very easy trophy list for you to look forward too with the majority of trophies coming from simply playing.
Roadmap:
Step 1: 20 Online Races
As is the norm with these older titles, I highly suggest that you start off with the online mode to get it out of the way as quickly as possible. This years’ mode is slightly different to the previous as entering the Public Race will automatically put you into a lobby with no option to chose to start a new one. Public Matches are decided by votes of race distances and tracks.
It is therefore highly recommended that you find a boosting partner before heading into this game, so that you can complete the 20 races in a Private Match and select the quickest races manually.
If you are struggling to find a boosting partner feel free to head over to our Discord to find a very helpful group of gamers!
You’ll be earning these trophies: Welcome Online
Online Novice
Online Amateur
Online Expert
Online Veteran
Step 2: Time Attack Mode
You’ll need to complete 10 valid Time Attack Laps. Pick your favourite track and simply glide around without touching too many kerbs and going off track to quickly complete this mode.
During this step you’ll earn these trophies: Lap after lap
On a hunt for the perfect lap
Step 3: Quick Race
You can do this as part of Step 4, however I would suggest to take the time to do a single “Pro Physics” race to earn this one miscellaneous trophy. You’ll also earn the relevant track related trophy whilst doing this.
During this step you’ll earn these trophies: Simulation lover
Step 4: Career Mode
The majority of the trophies will be earned automatically during this step. You will need to keep in mind that during one of the 4 seasons you need to complete, that you enable practice sessions & qualifying. Personally I did this during my Moto2 season, as the bikes were slightly faster and it gave me room to do any more during the MotoGP season if I need too. You can change the race setting for individual races before starting them.
You also need to resist the urge to move up in class when you are given the option too after 6 & 13 races, as this will void your run for the relevant current Championship.
Only move up a class at the end of the season.
During this step you’ll earn all the remaining trophies, including: Platinum!
Tips and Strategies:
During career mode the relevant Championship Trophies will pop when it is mathematically confirmed that you are the Champion; you are free to retire from some races too speed time up, but do not skip too many otherwise you may have to play some more races for MotoGP™ Legend.
All trophies can be earned with the AI set to “Very Easy” within the “Race Options” and they can be adjusted prior to starting each and every race. Disabling “Penalties” also allows you to cut as many corners as you like during your career without any issues.
Feel free to also use the “Rewind” function as much as you need during offline racing by pressing the button.

![]() ![]() Complete 20 online races |
For this trophy you will need to complete 20 Online Races, either through Public or Private Races.
It is highly suggested that you find yourself a boosting partner for this one and play in Private Races, as the Online Public Races have a weird matching mechanism as outlined in the Roadmap.
Once you’ve got your boosting partner head into Private Race and select Germanys’ Sachsenring, as this track has the fastest lap times of all the tracks in the MotoGP calendar, set the distance to 3 laps and cruise around with your buddy.
You need to finish the races in order for them to count, so make sure both of you finish before the timer runs out at the end of the race if you are both going for the trophies.
![]() ![]() Win a Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup championship in Career mode |
This will be awarded once you have sufficient points to be at the top of the championship after the 7 races and it is mathematically impossible for anyone else to match your points total.
There is not much else to the Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup, so just ensure you win as many races as possible as you begin your career.
![]() ![]() Complete your debut Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup championship race in Career mode |
Awarded after finishing the first race in Jerez – You do not need to achieve any specific position for this trophy, so will be no problems obtaining.
![]() ![]() Complete your debut Moto3™ race in Career mode |
If you have done well enough during your initial season in the Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup you will be given the option to stay within that team, or “View Offers” of other teams that are interested in your services.
You’ll need to accept an offer from a Moto3™ Team and complete the first race for this trophy.
The higher the “Team Performance” position objective of the teams, the better the bike you will race with.
![]() ![]() Complete your debut Moto2™ race in Career mode |
Important – You need to resist the urge to climb to the MotoGP™ Championship quickly. You will be given the option after 6 & 13 Moto3™ races to change teams, which may also include a Moto2™ team. If this is accepted you will need to do another season in the Moto3™ class to unlock Moto3™ World Champion.

![]() ![]() Complete 10 valid laps in Time Attack mode |
Head into “Quick Modes”, “Time Attack” and set up with your favourite track & bike settings. There is no time limit here, so you can just take your time and glide around.
Not every kerb will invalidate a lap when you touch it, but it’s best to stay away from them at all times. Crashing will also invalidate a lap, so make sure you are being careful.
I would suggest that you do complete any invalidated lap, as if you pause and restart it may not count the previous lap.
![]() ![]() Obtain a Pole Position in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode |
See Pole Specialist.
![]() ![]() Obtain 10 Pole Positions in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode |
You will need to enable “Qualifying & Race” in the Race Options prior to starting the weekend and go on to achieve Pole Position by getting the fastest lap during the time limit.
It is suggested that you enable “Full Weekend” to begin with during your Moto2™ Career, as you combine this with A proven tester. Moto2™ also has a slightly quicker qualifying format than MotoGP™, as there is only 1 session to deal with.
![]() ![]() Complete 5 races in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode |
See MotoGP™ Legend.
As mentioned in the description this can be obtained in multiple modes. You will achieve this automatically as you progress through Career Mode, as positions are not relevant to the trophy and it is awarded purely for finishing races.

![]() ![]() Win a Moto3™ Championship in Career mode |
Important – You need to resist the urge to climb to the MotoGP™ Championship quickly. You will be given the option after 6 & 13 Moto3™ races to change teams, which may also include a Moto2™ team. If this is accepted you will need to do another season in the Moto3™ class to unlock this trophy. You are allowed to change teams within the class, but do not pick a different championship.
This will be awarded once you have sufficient points to be at the top of the championship after the 18 races and it is mathematically impossible for anyone else to match your points total.

![]() ![]() Successfully pass 10 different tests during Free Practice in Career mode |
You need to enable “Full Weekend” in order to participate in Free Practice Development Tests. You’ll only need to do this for 4 races if you are able to complete all the tests available.
Once you are in Free Practice you are given 3 different tests at each race and you need to complete them all in the first session. My advice would be to complete them all within the first session and then “Skip” to Qualifying when the second sessions starts.
- Speed Trap Test – You will need to pass through 4-5 gates above a certain speed, at certain parts of the track. These will all need to be done within the same lap for it to count.
- Braking Test – You will need to brake within the 4-5 markers, at certain parts of the track. These will all need to be done within the same lap for it to count.
- Trajectory Test – You will be tested at 4-5 different parts of the track between two gate to see if you are able to stay within the correct lines around the corners. These will all need to be done within the same lap for it to count.

![]() ![]() Reach the Team objective 30 times in Career mode |
Team objectives are introduced during your first season within Moto3™ and are a mix of Qualifying & Race Objectives, plus beating your Teammates & your Championship position.
You will find your objectives on the right of Main Career Mode page prior to entering the “Next Weekend’s” race.
Personally I did not worry about the Qualifying positions at all, except for my Moto2™ season where I was aiming for A proven tester &
Pole Specialist and I was able to obtain the related trophies without any problems;
Great job, man! popped after winning the first 5 races in Moto3™ without Qualifying being enabled, with the other trophies popping after the relevant amount of races.
![]() ![]() Win a MotoGP™ race with PRO physics and Tyre Wear activated |
Head into “Quick Mode”, “Grand Prix” and select your favourite class and track. You’ll need to change the setting of the race as per below to enable the Tyre Wear, plus also adjust your “Riding Aids” to “PRO”. This is not too difficult if you have also set the computer AI to Very Easy and disable penalties.
You’ll also need to confirm your settings with the button once you have set them.
PRO Physics will automatically map you front brake to & your rear brake to
, so remember to apply them both in equal measures during your race to avoid over braking with either.
Remember that you have rewinds available by pressing the button and you can always add qualifying if you feel you need to be at the front of the grid.
![]() ![]() Race a total of 500 km (311 miles) |
Obtained naturally as you progress through the game – There is no counter to view, however 500 km is roughly 40 3 lap races and will easily be covered on your way to the Platinum.
![]() ![]() Race a total of 750 km (466 miles) |
Obtained naturally as you progress through the game – There is no counter to view, however 750 km is roughly 60 3 lap races and will easily be covered on your way to the Platinum.
![]() ![]() Win a MotoGP™ Championship in Career mode |
Important – You need to resist the urge to climb to the MotoGP™ Championship quickly. You will be given the option after 6 & 13 MotoGP™ races to change teams, which will also include teams from other classes. If this is accepted you will need to do another season in the MotoGP™ class to unlock this trophy. You are allowed to change teams within the class, but do not pick a different championship.
This will be awarded once you have sufficient points to be at the top of the championship after the 18 races and it is mathematically impossible for anyone else to match your points total.
![]() ![]() Complete 50 races in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode |
Obtained naturally as you progress towards MotoGP™ World Champion, as long as you do not skip too many races during the progress.
If you complete every Career Race along the way to those Championship’s you will have completed 64 Races Total (7 + 19 + 19 + 19).
