Introduction:
Welcome to the MotoGP™ 17 Trophy Guide!
Another brilliant instalment from Milestone S.r.l; this year follows the 2017 season and introduces a Managerial Career Mode for the first time.
Gameplay/Graphics wise there is nothing really new to shout home about, but for those that love the MotoGP™ Series you’ll know exactly what to expect.
Roadmap:
Step 1: Complete 20 Races Online
As an older title online on this game can at times be dead; therefore in order to achieve Online Veteran you will probably need a boosting partner. It doesn’t matter which tracks you do, just complete 20 races.
Sachsenring (Germany) is the quickest track, so keep playing over and over until you and your partner have notched up 20 completed races each.
If you are struggling to find a boosting partner feel free to head over to our Discord to find a very helpful group of gamers!
You’ll be earning these trophies: Newbie
Complete an online race
Online Champion
Online Expert
Online Veteran
Step 2: Rider Career
This is a “rise from the bottom to the top” type of step, but luckily we only really have to complete 1 and a bit seasons.
You will have the opportunity to move teams and up the classes after every 6 races, as long as you have performed well enough and won enough credits for the team that you wish to move too. You’ll need to win at least 1 race in each class for the relevant trophies.
Before you enter your first race remember to adjust the difficulty in the Race Options (if you want too), and also the Race Sessions to include Qualifying (again, if you feel the need to qualify).
During this step you’ll earn the following trophies: Rookie
No Mistakes
Natural Talent
Triumph
Living Legend
Step 3: Quick Championships
It is entirely possible to combine these into Step 2, however for the sake of saving time it is worth moving through the previous step as quick as possible. During this step you will need to head into Quick Mode, Championship and create a Custom Championship of your 4 favourite tracks and then win the Championship in the relevant classes.
During this step you’ll earn the following trophies: From Rookie to Talent
From Talent to Champion
From Champion to Legend
Step 4: Managerial Career
You start off as a Wildcard towards the end of a Moto3™ season and your objective during this step is to work your way towards the very top of MotoGP™ whist managing all teams aspects, as well as racing yourself. Initially you’ll set your team up, sponsors etc. and then you’ll head out to the track with yourself as the only rider in the team.
Your objective here is to win everything you can, as you will need too win all 3 individual rider Championships (as yourself, or team mate). You’ll also need to ensure you get a Pole Position and a Win in the same weekend for A Mammoth Weekend.
Concentrate on getting to MotoGP™ in the first instance, as it will be a lot easier to finish this off with more money coming in.
During this step you’ll earn these trophies: The Manager
My Word is a Promise
Ready to Take Off
A Mammoth Weekend
The Debut
Born to Win
Focus on Research
The Promise
Champion Material
Team Chemistry
One Podium for Two
The Wonders of Technology
The Legend
Step 5: Miscellaneous
You may have earned some of these whilst playing the other modes, however, some you will need to ensure you go out of your way to obtain.
Check the individual trophy descriptions if you are missing any.
During this step you’ll earn the following trophies: Sofa Challenge
A Real Pro
Try and Catch Me
A Good Start…
Exhibitionist
A Sunday Outing
Trip Outdoors
Bike Holidays
Platinum Rider
Tips and Strategies:
All trophies can be earned on Very Easy, so there is no issues with setting the AI to the easiest difficulty. If you decide to do this, then you may wish to switch the setting to “Race Only” as this will save you a lot of time despite starting in last place in the races.
I have made notes that it would be best to enable qualifying in some aspects, but it is not really needed.

You will need to controllers, or a form of remote play via your mobile device in order to achieve this trophy.
From the Main Menu head into “Quick Mode” and select “Split Screen”. All you need to do is complete the minimum 3 lap race with your main player and let the timer run down at the end of the race to complete it.
Winning this event will most probably net you Try and Catch Me also.
![]() ![]() Complete the first race in the Managerial Career mode |
Awarded for completing your first Wild Card race at Valencia. Position doesn’t matter for this trophy, so just competing the race will unlock it.
You may wish to combine this with My Word is a Promise,
Ready to Take Off &
A Mammoth Weekend.
![]() ![]() Race in Managerial Career and reach the sponsor’s goal |
Sponsor Goals include Race Objectives of finishing higher than a certain position, or achieving a certain position within the Qualifying. This will come naturally and should not be worried about.
![]() ![]() Race in Managerial Career and reach the points zone alongside your teammate |
After 6 races you will have an opportunity to pick a new team mate to improve the chances of this, however you need to be conscious of money to begin with.
It will take a while to be in a position to have a good enough bike and team mate in order to achieve this trophy. Focus on getting to MotoGP™ first and then worry about your bike/team mate later within the mode.

See The Wonders of Technology.
![]() ![]() Race and win a Moto3™ race with your rider in Managerial Career |
This can be achieved within your first Wild Card race and will most probably be achieved without even trying.
Remember that you can race with AI set too Very Easy if you are struggling.
![]() ![]() Win a Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup race in Rider Career |
As soon as you start out your Rider Career you will be entered into the latter stages of the Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup, with only 2 races to complete. You will also start out in second place in the Championship, so all you need to do is finish first in both races to guarantee this championship win.
Remember that before you enter your first race remember you will need to adjust the difficulty in the Race Options (if you want too), and also the Race Sessions to include Qualifying.
If you do not win this you will need to reset your Rider Career to start over again to attempt it again.
![]() ![]() Race and earn pole position in a MotoGP™, Moto2™ or Moto3™ race in any offline mode |
To make this trophy easier navigate from the Main Menu head into “Quick Mode” and then select “Grand Prix”, then change the “Race Options” as per the screenshot below.
Once you have done your quick lap in qualifying return to the pit and hold to advance time.
All you then need to do is qualify on Pole Position with the fastest laps within both qualifying sessions, then enter the race. The trophy will pop when you are just about to start the race, so there is no need to actually race it.
![]() ![]() Race and win a MotoGP™ race with Pro Physics, tyre wear and damages active |
Within “Riding Aids” you have the option to chose how much you want the help from the computer. With Pro Physics enabled you will be on your own!
To make this trophy easier navigate from the Main Menu head into “Quick Mode” and then select “Grand Prix” (cannot be obtained within Split Screen) and head into “Riding Aids” before the race to select Pro, then change the “Race Options” as per the description.
I would suggest that you pick a track that you are comfortable with when attempting this trophy, as it can be a little tricky on Pro Physics. You can use the “Rewind” feature by pressing if you mess up.
![]() ![]() Get the fastest lap in a race riding any MotoGP™ bike in any offline mode |
You will most probably get this without even trying. All you need to do is set the fastest lap in any offline mode (including Split Screen) for the trophy.
![]() ![]() Hold a wheelie for 8 consecutive seconds in any offline mode |
The best way I found to attempt this was within “Time Trial” at Sepang (Malaysia), as you begin the initial ride out on the back straight. Once you round the hairpin at the end of the straight you will need to almost come to a standstill before attempting this.
Once you are ready hold the in the down position to shift the riders weight onto the back wheel. Fully accelerate with
and the front wheel will begin to rise.
Now comes the tricky part; you will need to continue to hold the down, but feather the accelerator so you don’t over, or under do it.
This may take some practice, but it is easy to pause and then “Quick Restart” in this setting.

See Bike Holidays.
![]() ![]() Win a Moto3™ race in Rider Career |
Once you have won the Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup you will be able to chose you team for the next season within Moto3™. You’ll need to ensure you win at least one of the first 6 races if you want this process to be as short as possible
After every 6 races there will be an opportunity to move teams and if you have performed well enough you’ll be able to sign with a Moto2™ team for Natural Talent.
Bare in mind also that during your Rider Career you will need to win at least 1 Championship for Triumph.
![]() ![]() Win a Moto2™ race in Rider Career |
Once you have moved up from Moto3™ you’ll need to win only 1 race for this trophy.
It is however suggested that you try and win as many as possible to combine your time within this class with Triumph, by winning the Moto2™ Championship before moving up to MotoGP™.
After every 6 races there will be an opportunity to move teams and if you have performed well enough you’ll be able to sign with a MotoGP™ team for Living Legend.

The trophy will pop after completing your 20th Online Race.
Anyone that has played these types of games knows that the online mood can be quite a drag; luckily within this instalment we have the option to select 1 lap online races.
The below set up will help you finish off the online portion of this game in around an hour or two if you select Sachsenring (Germany) as your track over and over. Single laps of Sachsenring can be competed under 01:20.00 if clear weather is selected, so it is far and away the quickest lap on the MotoGP calendar.

![]() ![]() You or one of your riders must win the Moto3™ championship in Managerial Career |
As soon as you start out you’ll realise that it will be you who will need to win the championship. The team mates available to you in the beginning will finish every race in the lower positions, so ensure that you win as many races as you can to ensure the championship win.
The trophy will pop at the end of the race that guarantees you can not be caught in points by the end of the season.
It is highly advised you do not spend any money during you first season. This will ensure that you are able to afford that move up to Moto2™.
![]() ![]() You or one of your riders must win the Moto2™ championship in Managerial Career |
You need to ensure that at the end of your first season you have enough credits to purchase you first Moto2™ bike. The cheapest is available for 100,000 credits, but you will also need to hire riders.
As with The Debut it will most likely be you who will need to win this. The team mates available to you in the beginning will finish every race in the lower positions, so ensure that you win as many races as you can to ensure the championship win.
The trophy will pop at the end of the race that guarantees you can not be caught in points by the end of the season.
Try not to spend too much money during this season, as you want to be able to afford to move up to MotoGP™.
![]() ![]() Reach the podium together with your teammate in Managerial Career |
Once you reach the point where you are able to manage a MotoGP™ you will need to hire the best possible team mate. This can be achieved in the other classes, however to save time it is best to wait until you are in the MotoGP™ team before spending too much money.
Remember you can lower the difficulty to make this easier, plus, if you’re a dirty rider you can knock opponents off their bikes to aid your team mate.
![]() ![]() Race and win a race with a bike completely developed by the R&D department |
You can develop you current bikes within the R&D department of your Garage. There are a number of upgrades that are needed to completely develop the bike, each with increasing costs. It is recommended that you wait until you are in MotoGP™ before completing any upgrades, as you will have more money coming in.
In order to speed up the progress you can complete tests when they are offered to you and you can also purchase additional workshops to work on multiple parts of the bike at the same time.
Once you have maxed out each area you will need to race and win.
![]() ![]() Race and win a race in Moto2™ with your rider in Managerial Career |
See The Promise.
![]() ![]() Race and win a MotoGP™ race with your rider in Managerial Career |

![]() ![]() Obtain pole position and come first on the same weekend (playing) in Managerial Career |
This can be achieved within your first Wild Card race and will most probably be achieved without even trying. Remember that you can race with AI set too Very Easy if you are struggling.
You will need to ensure you have the “Race & Qualifying” option on. This can be changed within the “Race Options” prior to starting the race.
![]() ![]() Win a Moto3™ Championship in any offline mode apart from Managerial Career |
To speed things up you can achieve this trophy during a Custom Championship within Quick Play.
You will have to have a minimum of 4 races selected and have the most points overall at the end of the season. You can set the sessions to “Race Only” if you wish and AI difficulty to Very Easy.
The trophy will pop when you have enough points to be confirmed as champion, so you may not even have to race all 4 races.

This can also be achieved in conjunction with Triumph, if you managed to secure enough points during your time in Moto2™.

![]() ![]() Win a MotoGP™ race in Rider Career |
If you have performed well enough during your first Moto2™ season you will be able to move the next season to within a MotoGP™ team. You’ll then only need to win the first race and you will be finished with the Rider Career.
Hopefully by this point you would have won at least 1 Championship for Triumph, during your time in Moto2™.
![]() ![]() Win a race in Rider Career with Rewind disabled |
During any of your races over your Rider Career playthrough you will need to win at least one race for Triumph, however for this one you will also need to disable “Rewinds” before heading into a race and win it.
To disable “Rewinds” head into “Riding Aids” from the Championship page (prior to starting the next race) and disable them. Note that disabling them within the main HUB Options prior to the race does not actually disable them during this mode.
This can be achieved on Very Easy, so you should have no problems, and remember to also switch them back on after, as they are very handy.
![]() ![]() You or one of your riders must win the MotoGP™ championship in Managerial Career |
You need to ensure that at the end of your first season you have enough credits to purchase you first MotoGP™ bike. The cheapest is available for 500,000 credits, but you will also need to hire riders for all of your teams.

The trophy will pop at the end of the race that guarantees you can not be caught in points by the end of the season.
This season is where you will also need to concentrate on upgrading your bike for The Wonders of Technology & Team Mate for
One Podium for Two.
![]() ![]() Win a MotoGP™ Championship in any offline mode apart from Managerial Career |
![]() ![]() Race a total of 750 km (466 miles) |
Unfortunately MotoGP™ 17 does not have a tracker built in, so you are going to have to judge this one. Luckily however 750 km is a low number for these sorts of games and should be achieved naturally without any issues.
As a note the “Valenciana Circuit Ricardo Tormo” in Spain is 4 km per lap, so around 12 kms per race, if you are doing 3 lap races. That would mean you would need to complete around 75 races within your whole time with this game.
These distance trophies also pop mid race.
![]() ![]() Win the championship in any category in Rider Career |
Depending on how confident you feel with the game will determine where you will attempt to achieve this trophy. Personally I switched to Moto2™ after 6 races and then went on to win the Championship in this category. This is not the simplest of things to do, but it is doable if you are willing to play dirty and try to make the championship leaders crash as much as possible.
If you’re not comfortable attempting it this way, then there is no issues with staying in one category throughout the season to ensure the win.
Note:- The Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup does not count for this trophy and it must be achieved in one of the main classes.
