The criminal underworld is full of potential candidates who might fill the spot if not for the Friendly Neighbourhood hero, Spider-Man. Join his story starting with bringing down the Kingpin, all the way up to some of his more troublesome foes, the likes of Vulture, Rhino, and Scorpion.

    Tips and Strategies:

    Notes & Important Information:

    NOTE:
    This guide Has Spoilers!
Information used within the guide will not rely on you “Auto-Poping” the trophies from the PS4 release of the game and you can obtain all using the PS5 release of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.
If you have Arachnophobia this possibly isn’t the best game you could pick, you know the character’s name is Spider-Man. With that being said the depiction of Arachnids in the game is rather limited and contained to about 10 seconds in the beginning and odd parts in Act 3 of the game.

    PS4 Vs PS5?

Now, if you are unaware then in the PS5 copy of the game the team at Insomniac changed the look of Peter Parker. Below is a comparison, on the left, is the PS4 Peter and on the right is the PS5 Peter. This is only a “Take Note”, although not a major thing unless you liked the original look of Parker. Going in, it can be a little bit of a shock but for the amount of time that you actually see Parker in the game, it’s something you can deal with.

    Image found on Google search.

    Cheat Trophy?:

Although not technically a “cheat” it is something to get you some nice easy and fast trophies if you have the Tokens to do so. It is recommended that you have the following:

    • 65 Challenge Tokens
    • All Backpack Tokens
    • All Landmark Tokens
    • 50 – 60 Base Tokens
    • 60 – 70 Research Tokens
    • Around 70 or more Crime Tokens

When you have these it is advised to make a clean Manual save and start aiming for the following trophies:

    • A Suit For All Seasons
    • Science FTW!
    • The Scientific Method
    • Snappy Dresser
    • Full Arsenal (DLC: Remastered Trophies)

The reason we are making a manual save is because we want to drop the game after earning the trophy, and reload before we attempted. This will keep our Tokens in place and let us use the Tokens on another trophy. A crude but effective workaround if you don’t want to 100% all the challenges and everything. This will also nullify the need to get enough Tokens with a New Game+ run, or in the CTNS DLC.

    General Tips:

    • Gadgets unlock once you reach the first Fisk Construction site.
    • Once you have completed the Auction House mission you will start to get random demon gang crimes in progress across the city.
    • Upon completing the warehouse you will learn about fast travel
    • At the end of the mission Dual Purpose, you will meet Silver, who runs Sable International. From this point on Sable patrols will be found around the city
    • Unlike most other Spider-Man games, insomniac made it so Spidey can swim. This is not very effective, however.
    • One of the biggest faults that the author has with the game is you are playing in Manhattan, almost the center of superheroes in the MCU and there is only Spider-Man. There are references to Doctor Stange, and Matthew Murdock (Daredevil) but no sign of them in the game.
    • Act 3 of the campaign will turn Manhattan into a warzone, be ready for every lowlife, incarcerated criminal, high-tech mercenary and Supervillion out for Spideys head.
    • You can Scan the world around Spider-Man using the R3 Button. This will reveal anything like Collectables, Crimes, or bases within a set radius around Spider-Man.
    • You can use the Accessibility options for skipping the Puzzles if you are having trouble. This will only affect the Amazing Coverage and A Bit of a Fixer-Upper.
    • Repeated Button Presses can be changed to have either Hold mode or Press.
    • Once you have completed the mission The Heart of the Matter you will get a PONR warning where if you do not finish any outstanding things in the world you will have to wait until you are in free roam after the story.
    • If you pick to load into one of the CTNS DLC you will be prompted with a warning that playing the story out of order will result in spoilers. It is highly advised to complete the story of Marvel’s Spider-Man before you take on the challenge of The City That Never Sleeps.
    • You can collect Backpacks and Landmarks in the CTNS DLC, if you haven’t completed the collection by the time you start one of the packs. It is not advised but worth mentioning.

    Trophy Guide:

    Be Greater
    Collect all Trophies

Congratulations, using your Spidey-Sense and superhuman abilities you proved that Great Power has Great Responsibilities. Well done True Believer!

    Superior Spider-Man
    Unlock all Skills

To obtain this trophy you will first need to be at a high enough level to have the skill points to purchase all of the skills. This will be around Levels 45 – 50. as for the skills they are broken down into 3 categories, which are:

    • Innovator
    • Defender
    • Webslinger

Each of these categories has its own traits and uses, for example, the Perfect Dodge (Defender Category) is not going to be useful in a traversal situation like Quick Zip or Point Launch Boost (Both in the Webslinger Category). Below you can find an image of all the skills and a Table outlining all the skills and their cost.

    I Heart Manhattan
    100% complete all districts

To get 100% of the city you will first need to obtain a good number of the trophies, for convenience they have been highlighted below.

    • Master of Masters (Taskmaster)
    • Backpacker (Backpacks)
    • Cat Prints (Black Cat)
    • Inner Sanctuary (Demon Warehouse)
    • All the King’s Men (Fisk Hideout)
    • Mercenary Tactics (Sable Outpost)
    • Back in the Slammer (Prisoner Camps)
    • Neighborhood Watch (All Crimes in a District)
    • Schooled (Corrupted Student’s Side-Missions)
    • Amazing Coverage (Surveillance Towers)
    • Challenge Finder (Taskmaster Challenges)
    • R&D (Research Station)
    • Tombstone Takedown (Tombstone Side-Missions)
    • Pigeon Hunter (Howars’s Pigeons)
    • Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (Side-Missions)
    • Sightseeing (Landmarks)
    • Lost and Found (5 Backpacks)
    • Cat’s Out of the Bag (1 Black Cat)

Now that has been covered, let’s talk about what each district has. There are 9 Districts in the game in which you can explore and collect things. These districts are set up as such:

    • Financial District
    • Chinatown
    • Greenwich
    • Hell’s Kitchen
    • Midtown
    • Upper West Side
    • Central Park
    • Upper East Side
    • Harlem

There is an image below to show the map:

Once you have synced up with the Surveillance Towers across the city you will get all except Crimes added to your map. The reason for this is they are immediate things that don’t last long and will spawn randomly near your current location. You can track what you still need on the Map as you can see in the above images, so you will always know what you need. The only benefit to the Crimes is that once you have completed a faction’s crimes in a district they will no longer spawn in. If you are having trouble getting Crimes to spawn then it is advised to traverse the area and ping with the R3 Button, keeping an eye on if you get a Crime marker to show.

    Master of Masters
    Defeat Taskmaster

Taskmaster is available shortly into Act 2, and to fight him you must first complete some of his challenges. The first encounter with him happens after the 8th challenge is completed when he will jump you. The second time is once you have completed all the challenges, the score doesn’t matter for this but why not aim to get the best you can? Once all 16 Taskmaster challenges are completed with any score you will be jumped once more by Taskmaster and have to fight him. He is a little more troublesome than the previous encounter but still easy to take on, upon beating him the trophy is yours.

    Backpacker
    Collect all Backpacks

Once you have brought your second tower online you will be notified there is a backpack collectible nearby. From this point on you will get backpacks showing up on the map when you have uncovered the area. There are a total of 55 in the game scattered across Manhattan, collecting them will reward you with Backpack Tokens, a Collectable and some XP. All you need to do is go close enough to them and interact with the Triangle Button .

This is the marker that will indicate a Backpack Collectable.

    Cat Prints
    Track down Black Cat

Once you have retrieved your personal items Spidey gets a call from an unknown person. This will start off the hunt for the Black Cat. The first 1 is given to you through the story, if you have opened up areas by syncing the towers you will get the others marked on your map. Once you have collected all 11 clues from finding out where Black Cat is staking out you will get the side mission Cat’s Cradle. The stakeout locations are depicted below:

When you interact with them you will have to locate a small Black Cat, which is pretty much like Sly Cooper’s Calling Card, they will be located somewhere in the zone the viewer gives you. The best way to find them is to look for distinctive Graffiti, normally of Black Cat herself. The little toy cat you are looking for is normally not very far away and propping a door or window open.

Once the Side-Mission, Cat’s Cradle has become available, all you need to do for it is head to her hideout and find the stolen items, and claim a Suit that she has left out for you.

This is the marker that will indicate a Black Cat Stakeout.

    Inner Sanctuary
    Take down each Demon Warehouse

Towards the end of the Dual Purpose mission, you will get these added to your map. Just the same as Fisks Construction Sites, however, these are demons. There are a grand total of 5 of these and they aren’t all that hard even if you are bad at fighting the Demon gang. Just take them all out and get the trophy, below is a list with the bonus constraints to help you.

It should be noted that the Bonus Constraint is not needed for the Trophy, it’s just nice to get more Tokens if you are able to.

This is the marker that will indicate a Demon Warehouse.

    All the King’s Men
    Take down each Fisk Hideout

Once you have crafted the Advanced Suit, you will soon gain the knowledge that Fisk had legalized businesses, which you will need to investigate. These are just construction sites scattered across Manhattan where you beat many guys and close it. Simply complete all 6 construction sites and the trophy is yours, below is a list of them, along with the bonus constraints.

It should be noted that the Bonus Constraint is not needed for the Trophy, it’s just nice to get more Tokens if you are able to.

This is the marker that will indicate a Fisk Hideout.

    Mercenary Tactics
    Take down each Sable Outpost

In Act 3 you will be introduced to the Sable Outposts and Prisoner Camps (Back in the Slammer). These are both pretty simple and identical to the Fisk Hideouts (All the King’s Men) and Demon Warehouses (Inner Sanctuary), go in beat a lot of goons and complete them to close them down. There are 4 of each of them, below like on the other trophies (All the King’s Men and Inner Sanctuary) you can find the locations and bonus constraints.

It should be noted that the Bonus Constraint is not needed for the Trophy, it’s just nice to get more Tokens if you are able to.

This is the marker that will indicate a Prisoner Camp.

    Take down each Prisoner Camp

Please Refer to Mercenary Tactics for more information

    Neighborhood Watch
Complete all Faction Crimes in a district

This trophy is simple and won’t take much effort. The idea is you complete all the crimes in progress across all factions that commit them in a single district, please refer to I Heart Manhattan for more information on them. The easiest area to complete, which you can get in Act 1, is Central Park. The reason for this is you only get Thug Crimes there, and stopping a total of 5 in that area is by far easier than looking for all the other faction’s crimes across the city. There is an image below for reference.

It should be noted that because they are crimes they are random world events that are localized somewhere around Spider-Man. For this reason, it could take you some time to get the crimes you need in some areas, as highlighted in I Heart Manhattan. In addition to this, like the bases, Crimes have optional objectives to achieve. You do NOT need to complete them in order to complete the crime.

    A Suit For All Seasons
    Purchase all Suits

Once you completely restore the Chinatown Surveillance Towers you will need to perform suit repairs, which is when you will be introduced to changing suits, suit powers, and suit modifications. From this point you will be able to craft whatever suit or powerup you require, fortunately, you only require all suits for this trophy. You will unlock Suits by Leveling up, below is a breakdown of what suits are in the game along with the requirements and an image for reference. Be warned now, not all suits on this list are needed for the trophy, there is more information below.

As you can see the cost is in Tokens, which are gained from a number of activities throughout the game. Before we go on, it should be noted that there are a number of Suits that you do not need to purchase, and are given to you for rewards or through DLC. YOU DO NOT need these for the trophy! this must be stressed and there is a list of them below. You will get tokens for:

    • Backpacks
    • Crimes
    • Landmarks
    • Bases
    • Research
    • Challenge

The total you will need for the suits is as follows:

    • 16 Backpack Tokens
    • 60 Crime Tokens
    • 15 Landmark Tokens
    • 34 Base Tokens
    • 16 Research Tokens
    • 39 Challenge Tokens

Finally, the Suits you DO NOT need for the trophy are:

    • Advanced Suit
    • Classic Suit
    • Undies Suit
    • Homemade Suit
    • Anti-Ock Suit
    • Dark Suit
    • Webbed Suit
    • Bombastic Bag-Man Suit
    • Future Foundation Suit
    • Upgraded Suit
    • Stealth Suit
    • Amazing Suit
    • Arachnid-Rider Suit
    • Armoured Advanced Suit
    • Hybrid Suit
    • Black and Gold Suit

Once you have purchased the final suit your trophy will unlock.

    Schooled
Complete all of the Corrupted Student Missions

This trophy can be worked on once you have completed the mission Back to School. After this point the Corrupted Students side missions will spawn, it should be noted that you will probably have to do the next mission along, as it’s a rather urgent matter, and it gives the game time to get the mission set up for you. You will know the mission as it will be called College Buddies, which is located in Greenwich. Below is a list of missions and where they point to, you can find a more comprehensive breakdown in Marvel’s Spider-Man Schooled Trophy Guide.

    MissionWhere it points to
    College BuddiesFinacial District

    A Matter of DebateFinancial District

As you can see there are a total of 5 missions that you will need to complete in order to obtain the trophy. All you need to do for each is identify where the missing student is, from a photograph which is always present in the bottom left of the screen. Spidey will give you hints as to what area to head to but past that you will need to locate it on your own, if you need help you can use the separate guide for Schooled linked above.

    Amazing Coverage
    All Surveillance Towers activated

Upon going to Peter’s job after the Fisk arrest and leaving you will be contacted by Captain Watanabe about a job you would be perfect for. Simply go to her at the precinct and you will learn that all the surveillance towers over the city are down. In order to get them back up you need to complete a simple minigame where you match the soundwave frequency which is simple, there is an image below to illustrate this.

Above you can see the type that you will find on the Police stations, below you can see the type that you will find on other buildings.

Although it is not very clear you can just make out Red and Green wavelengths. You will need to match the Red wavelength using the Green one. You do this by moving both the L3 and R3 sticks until you match them. Below you can see that if you have the option to Skip Puzzles enabled you will be able to press the R1 button to Skip.

There are a total of 3 in each district to get the district tracking back online, which means you will be able to trackside objectives and collectibles in the area. This means that over Manhattan you will have to complete 26 separate Frequency events in order to get the trophy. Doing so will clear the “Fog of war” on the map which is always good. It should be noted that Central Park only has 2 Surveillance Towers.

    Short Fuse
Get Spectacular or Better in a Taskmaster Bomb Challenge

Once you have completed the Up The Water Spout… mission you will start to see Taskmaster challenges over the city, and your next main mission is to investigate your first one of these. Once you get there you will get all available challenges added to your map.

Once you actually get to a mission you will have to try and get at the least Spectacular in it. This will be the equivalent of a Silver medal and is a challenge depending on what score you need. Below is a breakdown of all the challenges that are in the game by District and what score you will need to get Spectacular. Do keep in mind that you will need to get an Ultimate result from at the very least 1 challenge for the Master’s Education from the Remastered Trophies if you happen to be playing on PS5.

These are the markers that will indicate a Bomb Challenge.

These are the markers that will indicate a Drone Challenge.

These are the markers that will indicate a Combat Challenge.

    R&D
    Complete all Research Stations

This will become available once you have completed the check-in on your “real” job, after investigating the origins of the mask. Upon meeting a prominent character to both Peter and Spider-Man, Peter will remember the research stations scattered across the city. Once you have entered the first the rest will be marked in any district that has been revealed on the map. Complete all 17 of these stations which will ask you to do a variety of activities around the city. None of them are really that difficult and you shouldn’t find them that hard to complete. Below is an image showing what the Stations look like.

This is the marker that will indicate a Research Station.

    Demons Emerge
    Complete Act 1

    STORY

Once you have the objective to head to city hall you will be at the end of Act 1. Simply complete the event at the ceremony and complete the first portion of the game, claiming the trophy.

    The Six Assemble
    Complete Act 2

    STORY

Once you have the mission Out of the Frying Pan… you will be at the end of Act 2. This mission is a bit long as you will be doing a fair few fights, chases and a QTE sequence or two to save the day. Once you see the results of the Six the act will end and the trophy yours.

    End Game
    Complete Act 3

    STORY

With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility!

Well done Superheroes and True Believers the story might be finished but Spider-Man’s work is never done.

    Science FTW!
    Craft 15 Upgrades

For this trophy, you will be required to craft upgrades for your gear. These will be the upgrades to your equipment as highlighted in Full Arsenal (DLC: Remastered Trophies). Below you can find the same information that is there.

    Knocking Down Kingpin
    Defeat Fisk

    STORY

Marvel’s Spider-Man starts things off on a high point and sets you right into the heart of the action with a Wilson Fisk arrest. Once you have apprehended the Kingpin you will get the trophy and start your hero work on the streets of Manhattan, and all that just to teach you the controls.

    Staying Positive
    Defeat Li

    STORY

This will be awarded for the mission The Heart of the Matter. During this mission, you will encounter both the demon gang and Sable agents before confronting Mister Negative. The fight isn’t difficult like the other encounters you will have with Mister Negative, it’s just a case of biding your time until you can land some attacks. This encounter does have 2 phases, but they are more or less the same, the second 1 you will have lots of small fries attacking you but do your best to keep an eye on the boss.

    Grounded
    Defeat Electro and Vulture

    STORY

This is achieved at the end of the Picking up the Trail mission. In this sequence, you will have to fight both Electro and Vulture, which can be a bit of a pain as they are both aerial combatants. This means that you will need to be in the air fighting one, the other or both of them. All told this isn’t actually tough as your Spidey-Sense will trigger when you are in danger and the camera will shift when Vulture is going to barrel into you. Just keep knocking them down and they will go down after a little while.

    Sting and Smash
    Defeat Scorpion and Rhino

    STORY

To achieve this you will head to the shoreline in Harlem, for the mission Heavy Hitter. Just like the Grounded fight, this will be against both Rhino and Scorpion. Initially, you will have to take on Rhino who is easy alone, stagger him a few times and lay into him until Scorpion joins the fray. When you have them both in, it is highly advised to focus on one of them, Rhino might sound and look like the biggest threat however Scorpion is probably the better enemy to focus on as he is ranged and quick.

    Tombstone Takedown
    Defeat Tombstone

You are first introduced to Tombstone in the Act 2 mission Dinner Date, after this, it will be sorted in Side-Missions. Once the Up The Water Spout… mission is completed you will get the first of the Tombstone missions spawning, below is a list with the area you can find them in.

    MissionArea
    Tombstone: On the MoveGreenwich
Tombstone: What’s He Building in There…Harlem
    Tombstone: Let’s Get Ready to…Harlem

Once you have completed the third mission you will get your trophy.

    Shock and Awe
    Defeat Shocker

    STORY

About halfway through the first act, you will be introduced to the master of shock waves, shocker. As impressive a character as he is, the fight is straightforward and underwhelming. All you really need to do is evade him until he lets his guard down and then start hitting him. In the late stage of the fight you will need to release the ceiling decoration while he is blasting at you which can be tricky, but just jump in the air and grapple it. Once you beat him the trophy is yours.

    Wing It
    Traverse across the City Rooftops

For this trophy, you will be required to disrupt pigeons that are sitting around the city. This might sound easy but it can take some time to get the number of pigeons disrupted, thankfully on the PS5 the amount of pigeons you can find is high. All you need to do is run/ swing near them or point launch near a group or something that will spook them. Below is an example of the groups of pigeons that you will need to spook.

There is an easy way to get this, which is to web swing down one of the main streets in Manhattan over the top of the large street lights. There is nearly always a group of pigeons on each set of lights and doing this will take around 15 minutes to get the trophy from a low amount. The strip of road recommended to use is located at the far side of the Upper East Side area.

    King of Swing
Complete a level 1 Traversal Benchmark

This will come naturally as you traverse the world, however, below is a breakdown of what you can work on for this category:

With this being a single level you need to rank up, you shouldn’t have too much trouble.

    And Stay Down!
Complete a Level 1 Combat Benchmark

This will come naturally as you traverse the world, however, below is a breakdown of what you can work on for this category:

With this being a single level you need to rank up, you shouldn’t have too much trouble.

    Pigeon Hunter
    Catch all of Howard’s Pigeons

This will be started as a side mission located in Chinatown, on the building next to F.E.A.S.T. you can find Howard, who is feeding pigeons. Talk to him and he will inform you that Piggy’s cousins have been missing and spidey says he will keep an eye out for them. This will add pigeon markers to the map, there are a total of 8 across the city. Once you find one all you have to do is chase it down and when close enough you can press L1 + R1 Buttons to catch it.

This is the marker that will indicate a Pigeon.

    Hug It Out
Knock together 10 Pairs of enemies with Trip Mines

During the campaign, specifically early Act 2, you will get a mission called Dual Purpose, in this mission you will get the Trip Mine Gadget. At any point, after this, you will be able to find 2 guards close together, either in stealth or combat and web them up for work on the trophy. It is easier to do this at a factions hideout as you can spawn enemies until you get the 10 pairs you needed but even in street crimes, this gadget has its uses.

    Note:

Although not recommended this can be farmed on a single encounter by restarting the checkpoint. The author did this for 4 of the required pairs and then continued the encounter to the end, resulting in the trophy.

    Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
    Complete all Side Missions

Side missions become available throughout the story, they can range from simple tasks like talking to people or fighting bad guys. They do an excellent job of holding your hand throughout the mission so instead of outlining them all, you can find a list below, telling you the name, reward, and location.

    The Scientific Method
    Craft your first Upgrade

    STORY

Although this is counted as a story trophy you can avoid completing it. Why you would want to is a mystery, upgrades make everything better right? Once you have learnt about different suits you can attempt this trophy. for more information please refer to Science FTW! for more information.

    Spider-Sensible
    Perfect Dodge 10 Attacks

For this trophy, you will need 2 things. The first is an enemy and the second is an upgrade. Now where this might sound difficult it really isn’t, conveniently there is a place sorted out for you, which is the Financial District’s Fisk Hideout. One of your bonus objectives is to complete 10 perfect dodges, so you can use this place to double as your trophy spot. The upgrade you will need is even a starting one, located under the Defender Tree, you can find Perfect Dodge as the first upgrade costing only a single skill point. If you have enough it is advised to get the Dodge Window as well, as it will increase the time window for dodging, meaning you will have a better chance to evade.

Above you can see the standard Spidey-Sense look. Below you can see the Perfected Dodge Spidey-Sense. Take note that the Perfect has a Blue Aura and a shorter evasion window before the hit lands on you.

    Overdrive
    Complete 10 Vehicle Takedowns

These are part of the random Crimes in areas. As they are random you won’t know what you are getting until you actually get to the location but you should easily obtain 10 by the time you get the I Heart Manhattan. All you have to do is chase down the car, land on it using the Triangle Button and dispatch any passengers that happen to be inside. Once the driver is taken out you will get a QTE like what is shown below where you will need to stop the vehicle. you might get some other enemies to spawn after this before you finish the event.

    With Great Power…
Pay respects at Ben Parker’s grave

A wise man said Great Power has Great Responsibility, better pay your respect at his grave in Harlem. Right at the top of the map in the very north of Harlem is a cemetery. You can visit this location anytime you like while in free roam. Not far from the church is a small grave, which reads Ben Parker, walk up to it and you will be able to interact to pay respects.

    Hero for Higher
    Perch atop Avengers Tower

So… MCU, and in Manhattan, why not visit the tallest point? The building that dominates the city skyline and one that every Marvel fan should know is Avenger Tower, if you don’t know it there is an image below, as well as the map location.

For this trophy all you need to do is sit atop the tallest point, luckily there are 4 points that are regarded as the peak. Below you can see the peak of the tower.

Those blinking lights on top, pick 1 and stand on it, trophy unlocked.

    Sightseeing
Photograph all Landmarks on the Map

Once you have completed your first Fisk Construction Site you will need to head to take a photo of the Empire State Building. From this point on you will be able to take photos of the many landmarks around the city. They are not hard to find and are even marked on the map as a point of interest. Simply swing around the city with the camera out (Equip the Camera with the Up Button on the D-Pad) and when you get close use the L2 and R1 Buttons to take a photo of the subject matter. Do this for all 47 scattered over the city and the trophy is yours.

This is the marker that will indicate a Landmark.

    NOTE:

There are also a number of Secret Landmarks throughout the City, which are not marked on the map unless you use the Proximity Sensor Suit Modification.

    Born to Ride
    Ride the Subway 5 Times

For this trophy, you will need to utilize the game’s fast travel, and when they say fast travel they mean it. On PS4 you would get a Train sequence where Spidey was traveling by train to the destination that he wanted, on PS5 you don’t get this little entertaining piece. You are introduced too fast traveling when Peter needs to get home and before recovering your gear. You can however achieve fast traveling through 2 different methods, which are.

    • Selecting a Key point on the map
    • Finding an underground station

All you have to do is use this a total of 5 times, where swinging around Manhattan is very entertaining and fun you are probably better to get this out of the way.

Above is an example of the Underground station that you can use.

    Sticky and Tricky
Chain 4 Unique tricks before landing

To do this you will first need a Skill, this skill is Air Tricks under the Webslinger Skills. Simply find a tall enough spot to have the altitude to perform tricks and start swinging or falling, while you are holding the O Button and move the L3 stick in different directions to pull off the acrobatic tricks. All you need to do is 4 different tricks while in the air before you land. Below is an image showing where the Air Tricks Skil is.

    Snappy Dresser
    Wear 5 New Spider-Suits

Please refer to A Suit For Every Season for more information.

    Arachnophobia
    Perform 75 Stealth Takedowns

This will more than likely be obtained during the course of the game. Anytime you see the SAFE and Red Square on an enemy means you can take them out in stealth, do this 75 times and the trophy is yours.

Above you can see that you are safe to take out the enemy, however, you have a Green marker on them. This means that you will not perform a Stealth Takedown. Below you can see the same guy but this time with a Red marker on them. This will indicate that you can take them out in Stealth

    Lost and Found
    Collect 5 Backpacks

Refer to Backpacker for more information.

    Spider-Man About Town
    Greet 10 Citizens

Although you can have people walking around the city wanting to greet you and high-five you can just as easily walk around the streets for a moment or two by pressing the Square Button. There is an image below of the 2 things.

Above is when a citizen wants to interact with Spidey, below is when you press the Square Button to interact with people in the world.

    Power and Responsibility
Complete a playthrough on Ultimate difficulty

    STORY/DLC

So let’s crank this up to an 11, Ultimate difficulty might sound like this monster of a challenge but really it’s not much more difficult than the game in your first run. Once you beat the game on any difficulty you unlock the ultimate challenge, but you play in New Game+ with all your experience, upgrades and skill you gained in your first run, how hard could it be?

That being said there are some things that you can do to make life in this mode easier, mainly alternating suit Modifications to best deal with situations. Another thing that you can do is avoid all unnecessary fights, like street Crimes. There is a list of tips below:

    • Alternating Suit Modifications
    • Avoid unnecessary conflict
    • Only go for the story
    • Activate the Surveillance Towers
    • Utilize the Fast Travel System
    • Don’t Get Cocky, bosses are tougher, hit harder, and are all-around meaner to deal with.
    • Some enemies are a real pain to deal with. Demons and Prisoners have some of the most annoying units but Sable is the worse.
    • Fighting Brutes, Whip-Guys, Sword-Guys, or Jetpackers? Perfect evade them and use Triangle to go in for a few hits rinse and repeat. Jetpackers will go down after a successful counterattack if u get it right.
    • Be patient with battle, specifically with the bosses.

As for a loadout that you can use to make your life easier in this mode, there are a few things that you can use. Pick whatever suit you want, by this point you should have all the suits anyway unless you used the “Cheat” outlined in the Tips and Strategies section. Below are the recommended Suit Powers to use, and the Suit Modifications.

    Suit Powers:

    PowersAssociated Suit
    Battle Focus
    Sound Of Silence
    Bullet Proof
    King of the Ring
    Defence Shield
    Equaliser
    Resupply
    Advanced Suit
    Noir Suit
Spider Armour – MK II Suit
    Wrestler Suit
Spider Armour – MK IV Suit
    Undies
    Anti-Ock Suit

Some of these are way more useful than others, for example, Equaliser is not really that much use in a lot of situations, but in some select ones, it can be useful.

    Suit Modifications:

    ModificationsCost
    Gel Padding1 Backpack Token
    3 Crime Tokens
    Silent Step1 Backpack Token
    2 Landmark Tokens
    Ballistic Inserts1 Base Token
    3 Crime Tokens
    Scavenger3 Crime Tokens
    1 Research Token
    First Aid2 Landmark Tokens
    1 Research Token
    Blast Plates6 Challenge Tokens
    6 Crime Tokens
    Life Support3 Challenge Tokens
    3 Research Tokens

    Author Setup:

Although not the best there was a default loadout that was almost perfect to get through any situation throughout the game. This was as follows:

    Suit PowerReason
Battle FocusHelps to generate Focus for the selected Modifications
ResupplyOnly used in the compulsory final battle
    Suit Modifications
    Gel PaddingInterchangeable with Ballistic Inserts
    Ballistic InsertsInterchangeable with Gel Padding
First AidUseful for when Healing was needed
Life SupportThis is the reason for the Battle Focus Power.

Above is what the author used to get through all the situations. The First Aid and Life Support were necessary Modifications that would not be changed off. The Third and final Modification was an interchangeable one that needed to deal with individual situations. An example of this is using the Ballistic Inserts until all gunmen were dispatched then changing to the Gel Padding to deal with close-range units. The Battle Focus was used to get Focus up before entering into a combat situation, with the focus built there was a “Safety Net” in the form of the Life Support Modification.
