Estimated time to platinum: 18 – 22 hours
Missable trophies: Completionist
Glitched trophies: None
difficulty related: None
Welcome to the Lost Sea Trophy Guide! A crew of survivors enter the Bermuda Triangle in this daunting Rogue-like action RPG with Perma-death! One slip up and your game is over! This guide will help you get the platinum trophy and safely return back to civilization!
Step 1: Play Through the Game Acquiring all Ship and Player Upgrades
Your first playthrough should consist of getting the longest to complete trophy out of the way, which is Completionist. This trophy is by and far the longest trophy in the game. It may take you 4 – 5 hours. You cannot save midway through a run. You can, however, suspend the game and come back. The good thing is when you get all upgrades, it instantly unlocks.
Visit as many islands as you can in your run. There are 5 worlds in the game, I had it just at the end of world 4, with exploring all the islands I visited and explored. Try to stay away from Hard islands if you can. Normal and Easy have more than enough enemies and money. The first thing you should buy is a ship upgrade to reduce the cost of player skills which cost EXP. The ship upgrade is 200 Coins, after that, you can buy player upgrades. By the end of this playthrough you should have a majority of the trophies.
You’ll be earning these trophies:
Step 2: No Items, No Crew, Speedrun
You should make a cloud save of your game before attempting this stage. In this stage you’re going to do a speedrun the game. It may seem daunting but you could easily get a speedrum at around 1 hour and 20 minutes, and you get money and EXP from your completed game run. 100 EXP and 50 Gold per tablet you returned. Seeing that you won’t have any crew, you won’t be able to get items, unless you buy a certain ship upgrade. With all your EXP and Gold, you should prioritize your upgrades. An order that’s recommended is “Sails – Crows Nest 1 (You can get 2 and 3 if you have enough Gold) – Sprint – Scavenger – Light Footed – Conditioning 1 and 2, and finally Toughness. If you can save all the toughness upgrades until world 5 that would be best, as every time you buy one, you get full health. Try to buy Toughness 3 just before you start the final boss fight. At the end of this stage you’ll have more of the trophies now!
During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Army of One
Step 3: No Upgrades Run
After the last stage, you should be very familiar with the game by now so this shouldn’t be as bad as it may seem. You can have crew members, you can use items, and you should know all enemy attacks and patterns so there shouldn’t be any unnecessary damage. It’s recommended that you always carry a med-kit as your item, whether it’s just for you or for you and your crew. It’s recommended that you find a crew member with Toughness, Revive, Strength in Numbers, and Carpenter or Lockpick (If you’re comfortable with no added attack, try to find both carpenter and lockpick).
This stage will take a little longer than Stage 2, as you won’t know where the tablets are in the level to proceed. But with enough patience you should get it done with no problems!
During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Step 4: Cleanup
By this stage you should only need a few more grindy or luck based trophies. No more trophy is as hard as the other trophies, so now you can sit back, relax, and grind your heart out. By the end you should have almost all the requirements for some long grindy trophies or know the best place for others.
During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Tips and Strategies
As this is a procedurally generated game, the Tablet locations, chests, crew members and healing trees are always in random locations of the levels. Its also Perma-death, so remember, if you slip up and make a mistake, thats it, game over. The Pirate may cause some problems, but he has certain attack patterns. He always shoots 2 rounds of cannonballs then attacks you and summons monsters that shoot projectiles at you. You can only ever attack him once, then he shoots his cannonballs again. After hitting him 3 times you win the fight.
- World 1 – The Pirate just belly flops the ground and creates a shockwave around him, just dodge him, then attack him once. Repeat 3 times.
- World 2 – The Pirate jumps in the air and creates a shockwave around him when he lands, he then charges you, so avoid him, let him hit a wall and then get your attack in. Repeat 3 times.
- World 3 – The Pirate jumps in the air and creates a shockwave around him when he lands, he than does a spin attack and bounces off the walls. When he’s done spinning, get your attack in on him. Repeat 3 times.
- World 4 – The Pirate jumps into one of the four corners of the map, or directly infront of his cannon and shoots a cone of 3 bullets twice, then tries to belly flop you. Avoid the shockwave when he lands then attack him. Repeat 3 times.
- World 5 – This is where it gets tricky, The Pirate will do any of the attacks from the 4 worlds, so you have to know the signs of what attack he will do. Unlike the last 4 worlds, this time you have to hit him 5 times to beat him
The Crew members you find can have 7 possible skills that are all valuable in their own way. You know what skills they have when you interact with them using . Their skills are randomly generated and represented by 7 icons.
- Tough (Represented by a Shield) – Have more health than normal crew
- Survivalist (Represented by XP+) – Monsters drop more XP
- Locksmith (Represented by picklocks) – Allows them to open chests
- Miner (Represented by a Shovel in dirt) – Allows them to dig excavation sites
- Carpenter (Represented by a Hammer and Plank) – Allow them to repair bridges
- Strength in Numbers (Represented by 2 crossed swords) – Increase your basic attack if crew is nearby you
- Revive (Represented by a Halo and Angel Wings) – Allows a one time use revive
Collect all other trophies.
Successfully complete the tutorial island.
Simply complete the tutorial island. You start in it as soon as you begin your first run.
Skip the tutorial island.
The second time you start the game you get to pick whether to do the tutorial island or not. This trophy is almost unmissable seeing that you probably won’t ever do the tutorial island again and you’ll skip it every time.
Find the machete on the tutorial island.
During the tutorial island you’ll be tasked to get your weapon, which is the machete. Pick it up and you’ll get the trophy.
Die on the first island you visit after the tutorial.
Get revived 50 times by crew members.
For this trophy you’ll have to find crew members with the Revive skill. Simply die and then they’ll revive you if you have them recruited. A crew can only revive you if they have a halo around their head.
Die 50 times.
This trophy simply requires you to die 50 times. You can pair this with Survivor to lessen the grind on yourself for both.
Recruit 100 crew members.
To recruit a crew member you must have an open space for one. So every time you come across one you can recruit them, or you can grind it after all your playthroughs. If you dismiss a crew member to recruit a new one, the dismissed one will be at the beginning of each level, so you can take them with you before the end if you like their skills. The best place to grind this would be the 1st world as the maps are the smallest, so it’s easier to find crew members.
Lead a full party of 4 crew members.
For this trophy you have to have the player skill Leadership 3, which costs 5,000 EXP. You have to buy Leadership 1 and 2 which also cost 1,000 and 2,500 EXP each. Then just recruit 4 crew members and the trophy will pop.
Lead a full party of 4 crew members, each with the revive ability and active halos.
To get this trophy you have to get the player skill Leadership 3. See Party Leader for more details.
When you can recruit 4 crew members, you must find 4 crew members with the “Revive” skill. For them to have the halo, they can’t have revived you at all. So basically you’ll have 4 continues for if you die. Simply find 4 crew members with “Revive” and the trophy will pop.
Collect 10,000 gold.
This trophy will come when grinding for Vandal as gold is only in buckets and crates. Simply collect 10,000 gold over all playthroughs and the trophy will pop.
Collect 50,000 XP.
This will come naturally, for example there’s a chance you could have this trophy by the end of your first run. You get EXP for killing monsters in the game. Simply get a cumulative amount of 50,000 EXP across all playthroughs and the trophy is yours.
Order a crew member with the carpenter ability to repair a bridge.
Simply find a crew member with the “Carpenter” ability and find a bridge and order them to repair it. Bridges are abundant in late game areas, so don’t get discouraged if you don’t have this for some reason by late game.
Order a crew member with the miner ability to excavate a dig spot.
For this trophy you must find a crew member with the “Miner” ability and have the excavate a dig spot. The only dig spots are at the end of each area after the boss battles. So if you find a crew member with “Miner”, keep him until you kill the boss of the area, then order him to dig up the excavation point.
Order a crew member with the locksmith ability to open a chest.
For this trophy you must find a crew member with the “Locksmith” ability and order them to open a chest. This will come very naturally as chests are the only real way to get items and they are very abundant and most crew members you find have the “Locksmith” ability.
Reveal 1000 island regions on the map.
For this trophy it’s assumed to count all the islands on the world map plus the areas you find in each level. During your playthroughs just thoroughly search each level and you’ll have this one eventually. The easiest area to grind this would be the 1st world, as the enemies are easier to run around and just search each region of every level you play.
Use 100 items.
This trophy is fairly plain and simple in that you’ll need to use 100 items that you get in chests or from the Trawling Nets ship upgrade.
Find and interact with a healing tree.
A healing tree is a Purple leaved tree that sort of glows. They can show up as points of interest on the mini-map and are one of your main sources of healing in your No Crew and No Item run. Simply find one and interact with it and the trophy will pop.
Interact with a healing tree 50 times.
This trophy is just like Botanist, except you have to use 50 healing tress this time.
Kill 3000 enemies.
Simply kill 3,000 enemies and the trophy is yours. This trophy is not as big of a grind as it sounds. If you still don’t have this by the end, try to play Hard islands, as they tend to have more enemies in them than normal or easy.
Kill 100 enemies using the spin attack.
To unlock the spin attack you must buy the “Spin Attack” player upgrade for 2,000 EXP. It is then used by pressing and is an AoE attack which can be pretty useful. Simply kill 100 enemies with it and the trophy will pop.
Kill 100 enemies using the dash attack.
To unlock the dash attack you must buy the “Dash Attack” player upgrade for 2,500 EXP. It is then used by pressing and is a short charge forward attack that is good at closing distances to enemies. Simply kill 100 enemies with it and the trophy will pop.
Kill 25 enemies using guns.
Guns are found in chests or from the “Trawling Nets” ship upgrade. They are a one use item and shoot in a cone in front of you. Simply kill 25 enemies using guns and the trophy is yours.
Kill 50 enemies using bombs.
Bombs are found in chests or from the “Trawling Nets” ship upgrade. They are a one use item that is set on the ground and explode with a screen clearing explosion, so anything near them dies. Simply kill 50 enemies using bombs and the trophy is yours.
Defeat the pirate.
The Pirate is the boss in each of the sections. Simply kill him once and the trophy is yours. For tips on the boss and the attacks he uses in each world, refer to Tips and Strategies.
Defeat the pirate 20 times.
Just like with Swashbuckler, you have to kill the pirate 20 times for this trophy. This may come naturally during your playthroughs depending how much you die, or you may have to grind for it. The 1st world is the quickest world to finish if you need to grind this after all your playthroughs.
Kill 10 enemies while under the affect of adrenaline.
Adrenaline is an item that can only be found in chests are with the “Trawling Nets” ship upgrade. The item icon looks like a needle and you must kill 10 enemies with 1 use! The effect of the item makes you invincible, 1 hit enemies, and make you run very fast, but when the effect is up, you get left with 1 HP.
The easiest place you might find is in the Desert area as the enemies are more abundant and there are more traps in the Desert area to make more enemies spawn. There are also bird enemies that spawn 3-4 little birds. So if you find 2 let them spawn their birds, then use the item and get 10 kills.
Destroy 5000 barrels and crates.
This trophy will be a grind. You have to find and destroy 5,000 crates. There a quite a few littered in each level as they are your source of gold, but there isn’t that much depending on the generation of the level.
Destroy 5000 bushes.
You’ll earn this trophy for destroying 5,000 bushes. There are bushes everywhere, and during all of your runs they are a great source of HP because they occasionally drop a health item that restores health.
Unlock all player skills and shipo upgrades in a single play through.
This is the longest trophy of the game. You must get all the player upgrades and ship upgrades in 1 RUN! This could take 4 – 6 hours to do, so prepare yourself as there is no save feature in this game. The player skills take EXP and the ship upgrades cost gold, so you want to play as many levels as you can, and explore, explore, EXPLORE! All upgrades are bought from the “Workbench” located at the beginning of every level. Buying the ship upgrade “Cabin 1” makes the Player Skills cheaper. The lower costs are in brackets for if you buy “Cabin 1” before buying any Player Skills. Once you get all upgrades the trophy will unlock and you can breathe a sigh of relief.

This will come naturally while you are working on Completionist. The total cost to get max health is 8,000 EXP.
Unlock the maximum stamina upgrade.
Successfully complete the jungle zone.
This trophy will be obtained once you make it to the end of the 1st world and kill The Pirate.
Successfully complete the desert zone.
This trophy will be obtained once you make it to the end of the 2nd world and kill The Pirate.
Successfully complete the swamp zone.
This trophy will be obtained once you make it to the end of the 3rd world and kill The Pirate.
Successfully complete the snow zone.
This trophy will be obtained once you make it to the end of the 4th world and kill The Pirate.
Successfully escape the Bermuda Triangle.
This trophy will be obtained once you make it to the end of the 5th world and kill The Pirate.
Complete the game in under 2 hours without warping.
This trophy isn’t as daunting as it may seem. It’s possible to get a good speedrun done in around 1 hour and 20 minutes. You must start at the beginning of the game, but you can skip the Tutorial Island. Simply grab 1 tablet per level and then talk to the man at the “Workbench” and select “leave island”.
There is quite a bit of possible time, so play calmly and take some levels slowly, and watch for traps, as 1 wrong move can kill you and mess up your run. Remember, if you die, that’s the end and it’s back to the beginning of the game with you. In addition for example, you could also pair this trophy with Army of One and Traditionalist, that is how doable this is.
The recommended skills to buy are as follows: “Sails – Crows Nest 1 (You can get 2 and 3 if you have enough Gold) – Sprint – Scavenger – Light Footed – Conditioning 1 and 2 and finally Toughness. If you can save all the toughness upgrades until world 5 that would be best, as every time you buy one, you get full health. Try to buy Toughness 3 just before you start the final boss fight. If you go into this run after a good run, you should be able to buy all the upgrades right at the start of the game! For every tablet you return if a previous run, you get 100 EXP and 50 Gold, so that helps a lot.
|Army Of One
Complete the game without recruiting any crew members.
This trophy can be paired with Speed Demon, see the details under that trophy for a good skill strategy.
Because you have no crew, that means, no revives, no added attack, no nothing, just pure basic skill. So take it slow, and easy, always be on the lookout for enemy traps because they can kill you quickly if you don’t know what they look like or accidentally trigger one, and try to memorize enemy patterns and you’ll do just fine.
Complete the game without unlocking any player skills or ship upgrades.
For this trophy you must complete the game without buying and Skills or Ship upgrades. It may seem daunting but you are able to keep 1 crew member and 1 item on you at all times. For crew members it’s suggested that you find one with Toughness, Revive, Strength in Numbers, and Carpenter or Lockpick (If you’re comfortable with no added attack, try to find both carpenter and lockpick), and for items it’s suggested you go with a medkit. Just play the levels slowly, collect 1 tablet per level, then move on. This should seem simple compared to the No Crew and No Items playthrough if you did those first!
Complete the game without using any items.
This trophy could be paired this with Speed Demon and Army of One. Seeing that you have no crew members, you can’t get items unless you buy the “Trawling Nets” ship upgrade. See Speed Demon for good skill details when tackling this trophy.
Collect and deliver 100 tablets of the map table.
This trophy should come naturally as you complete levels. You must find 1 tablet per level to complete it anyways. Easy levels have 3 tablets, Normal levels have 2, and Hard levels have 1. This trophy should come naturally during all of your playthroughs. The easiest place to grind this would be the 1st world, as the maps are the smallest and easiest to get around in.
Get a conbined total of 10 or more across tablets.
In the 1st level, collect all 3 tablets then complete the level. The amount rolled on a tablet determines how far you can go. You could get this after level 1 for example. Its all up to RNG, but it should come very naturally! Just don’t buy the “Charts” ship upgrade if you’re trying to get this trophy, and you’ll also want to play Easy levels, as they have the most Tablets to collect, which is 3.
Collect 3 tablets on a single island
Check out High Roller for more details on what islands have 3 Tablets.
Trigger 100 traps.
Traps are marked in this game as Stick with Skulls on them in a passageway. The desert has a lot of traps in it, and usually if your going the quickest route through a part of the map you will run across a trap. If enemies spawn out of nowhere, you’ve triggered a trap. Simply trigger 100 and the trophy is yours.
Collect all 18 pieces of treasure.
Some islands have Treasures on them that are part of a set. By buying the ship upgrade “Forecastle”, you can see what islands have treasures. All treasures collected carry over across all playthroughs, so simply collect all 18 and the trophy is yours.
Rescue 10 crew members using the life ring ship upgrade.
To rescue a crew member you must buy the “Life Ring” ship upgrade for 350 Gold. To successfully rescue a crew member, you must have an open spot in your crew, then complete the level you’re in and at the start of the next level, you may get a random crew member added to your own crew. Simply rescue 10 across all playthroughs and the trophy is yours.
