Introduction:

Welcome to the IN-VERT Trophy Guide!
IN-VERT is a 2D platformer/puzzle game, developed by Victory Road. The game tasks you with getting your little robot through stages filled with various traps by inverting the polarities (for lack of a better word) of the world around him.
The game features five worlds, of escalating difficulty, with a boss at the end of each. However, in order to obtain the platinum trophy, you have to only beat worlds one through three, at most. The rest of the trophies are miscellaneous ones, that you acquire organically along the way or that you need to grind out at the end

Roadmap:

Step 1: Beat worlds 1, 2 and 3 (using the cheat)
This will either be your longest or (maybe) shortest Step to get the platinum. In order to quickly finish each stage, you can input an in-game cheat code that opens up a cheat option in the menu. This lets you instantly complete each stage, except the boss stages at the end of a world. So you will only have to defeat three bosses and the corresponding trophies are technically yours. To enter the cheat code, start a stage, go the menu and then press the following button sequence:

,,,,,,,,,,

A “Cheats” menu option will appear at the bottom of the menu, which will allow you to instantly complete the stage you are on. If you want to play legitimately (and a little longer) you can do so as well (no assistance is provided should you choose to do this, though).

You’ll be earning these trophies:
Gold That’s fine
Gold Making progress
Gold A bit more!

Step 2: Collect 14 crystals and do 1000 jumps and inverts
Crystals are collectables scattered around the levels and you need to collect 14 of them for a trophy. Luckily for us, we can pick up the same one over and over again. Load up world 1, stage 4 and you will come across one near the beginning of the stage. Collect it and immediately suicide via the pit below it to restart the stage. Repeat this until the trophy pops.
Afterwards hang around the beginning of the stage and jump ( button) and invert ( and or / buttons)

During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Gold Crystal fan #1
Gold Very important number
Gold Godlike invert expert

Gold Even better than god
Gold Jumpman
Gold Jump-lover
Gold Major Jumper

Step 3: Die… alot
Time to grind out the most time consuming trophy in the game (if you did not actually go ahead and do Step 1 legitemately, that is): dying 666 times. The easiest way to do this is to go to either world 1, stage 12 or 14, and just set your controller down and wait as you will automatically die at the start of these stages. Each death this way will take about three seconds, so this trophy will take you about 30 minutes of idle grinding. !WARNING! The game may crash during this time. See Gold Death suits you for more information.

During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Gold Death suits you
40-platinum ROBO-GEDDON!

That’s fine Gold
Finish world 1

At the end of world 1 you have to defeat a boss robot. Simply jump on his head a couple of times while evading him to defeat him.

Making progress Gold
Finish world 2

To finish world 2 you have to defeat boss at its end. This is a bit trickier than the first one. Not only does he throw stuff at you that you have to avoid, after jumping on his head to damage him, you also have to quickly invert the stage to make the spikes on the ceiling disappear, otherwise the recoil from jumping on him will catapult you into them, killing you. Hit him a few times to beat him.

A bit more! Gold
Finish world 3

Once again you have to defeat a boss at the end of this world to get this trophy. This boss changes things up yet again, as he may still throw stuff like boss #2, but the spikes on the ceiling get changed for a laser beam start spins counter-clockwise in the center of the arena. Avoid the laser and the things he throws while jumping on his head and he should go down eventually, getting you the trophy.

Very important number Gold
Invert for 72 times

See Gold Even better than god. You may have gotten this trophy during the boss fights, depending on how many attempts it took you to beat them or while going for the crystals.

Godlike invert expert Gold
Invert for 500 times

See Gold Even better than god.

Even better than god Gold
Invert for 1000 times

In order to progress through the game you will have to invert the stages by pressing either or to make obstacles (dis-)appear. Do this 1000 times to get the trophy. Best combined with Gold Major Jumper.

Jumpman Gold
Jump for 100 times

See Gold Major Jumper. You may have gotten this trophy during the boss fights, depending on how many attempts it took you to beat them or while going for the crystals.

Jump-lover Gold
Jump for 500 times

See Gold Major Jumper.

Major Jumper Gold
Jump for 1000 times

As the description says, jump by pressing 1000 times to get the trophy. Combine this with Gold Even better than god to save time.

Crystal fan #1 Gold
Obtain 14 crystals

Crystals are collectibles scattered around the levels and you need to collect 14 of them for this trophy. Luckily for us, we can pick up the same one over and over again. Load up world 1, stage 4 and you will come across one near the beginning of the stage. Collect it and immediately suicide via the pit below it to restart the stage. Repeat this until the trophy pops.

Death suits you Gold
Die for 666 times

!WARNING!
When I went for the trophy I had set my controller to automatically shut off after 20 minutes. While farming deaths, my controller actually shut down which in turn caused the game to crash. Apparently the game only saves your deaths if you leave a stage by quitting and/or finishing it, so this reset my progress on the death count. If you are going for the trophy it is thus advised to set your automatic controller shut-off timer higher (one hour or more recommended) or quit the stage in-between to save your progress.

Depending on how much trouble you had with the bosses (or the game in general, if you chose to beat the worlds legitimately), you may have gotten this trophy in Step 1. If not, simply get to world 1, stage 12 or 14, and lay the controller down as you character while die automatically in seconds. Wait around until the trophy pops; this can you take up to 30 minutes.
