How To Unlock Mystery Gifts In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet you don’t unlock the Mystery Gift feature straight away or even come across it if you don’t look for it, so how do you unlock it? Well, follow the following steps and you will be able to unlock the Mystery Gift feature as well as some other goodies through the Mystery Gift system.

1. Play through the main tutorial until you get to the 1st city/village, Los Platos.
2. Follow the small tutorial about the Pokémon Center/shop.
3. Go to the yellow screen on the left side and talk to it.
4. Press the L button to connect to the internet. This will unlock a new feature.
5. Press X to open the menu and go to Poké Portal.

There you will have the mystery gift option to use your codes and get some gifts via the internet.
