Introduction:

Welcome to the Halloween Candy Break Trophy Guide!
Halloween Candy Break is a brick breaker follow-up to the recent releases of Donut & Sushi Break. It is developed by smobile and has a very similar trophy list to the previous games. The Platinum itself will take you less than an hour and has a generous amount of trophies. 

Roadmap:

Step 1: Play Levels 10, 15, 20, 25, 30
Playing these levels first will net you the Gold Stationary mini bosses defeated trophy and enable you to then play any other levels of your choice for the other trophies.

Step 2: Play Another 10 Different Levels
Most of the other trophies will require a little bit of RNG, however after playing the first five levels as noted in Step 1 you will have a generous amount of trophies already. I have noted in the trophy descriptions below what levels I obtained the majority of the RNG ones, so hopefully these are of an assistance to you.

There is no real other step to this Platinum, other than the tip to remember to collect the Power Ups to make the levels go quicker and to collect the Coins as they drop.

Tips and Strategies:

A lot of the trophies will need to to collect multiple Power Ups at the same time. Refer to the trophy descriptions below for the levels that I obtained them in and refer to the Instructions listed here for what Power Up means what.

Collected all the trophies in the game.

Fast player
Completed a level quickly.

There is no actual timer within the game, so there is no real way of knowing exactly how much time needs to elapse for this trophy to pop.

I would suggest this will come naturally during a level whilst playing, as there a re a number of levels that have many power ups.
As this game has a high RNG element I can confirm that this trophy was obtained within the second Character Level “Rai” for myself.

Slow player
Completed a level slowly.

There is no actual timer within the game, so there is no real way of knowing exactly how much time needs to elapse for this trophy to pop. I would suggest this will pop along with Bronze No power ups collected, as for this trophy you will be avoiding all power ups and naturally the level will take longer.

Devil defeated at high speed
Defeated a Devil mini boss at high speed.

You will need to get a 2x speed in order for this trophy to be unlocked, as well as a Devil mini boss to appear during the level.
As this game has a high RNG element I can confirm that this trophy was obtained within the first Character Level “Ami” for myself.

Mummy defeated with laser
Defeated a Mummy mini boss with laser.

As soon as you collect the Laser Power Up you will have the ability to fire with the button. In order to obtain this trophy you are require to shoot the Mummy Mini Boss whilst this is active.

As this game has a high RNG element I can confirm that this trophy was obtained within the Twenty-fifth Character Level “Chiyo” for myself, however it will most likely be obtained on many levels throughout the playthrough.

Witch defeated with fireball
Defeated a Witch mini boss with fireball.

For this one you are looking for a Witch Mini Boss to appear whilst you have the fireball power up running. 

Head over to the Twentieth Character Level “Yuki” for myself, as you will have both these random elements appear at the same time. Plus the Witch will be a Stationary Boss.

Turbo player
Hit ball 5 times in turbo paddle mode without losing life.

Hold to make the paddle speed increase and try to bounce the ball 5 times without letting it past you. Very simple to do on the earlier levels, and when there are not that many candies left on the level.

Sticky player
Caught ball 5 times with sticky paddle without losing life.

The Sticky Paddle Power Up will let the balls stick to your paddle in order to better select a shot that will be at the angle of your choice. When you have the ball stuck you will need to press the button to release the ball back into the play area. 

Simply catch the ball (or a combination of) 5 times and fire it back up without lossing a life in between.

As this game has a high RNG element I can confirm that this trophy was obtained within the tenth Character Level “Tomo” for myself, however it will most likely be obtained on many levels throughout the playthrough.

Shielded player
Hit ball 5 times with shield (bottom wall) without losing life.

The Shield Power Up gives you a barrier at the bottom of the screen just in case you let the ball past.
For this trophy you are required to let the bouncing ball hit the barrier 5 times before it expires. When you get this Power Up simply let the ball past you and keep your paddle out of the way.

Invincible player
Survived a mini boss attack through invincible paddle.

You will need to collect the “Invincible Paddle Power Up” and then let one of the Mini Bosses hit your paddle with the fire shot whilst your paddle is still Yellow for this one.

As this game has a high RNG element I can confirm that this trophy was obtained within the Second Character Level “Hitomi” for myself, however it will most likely be obtained on many levels throughout the playthrough.

Slow and steady
Consumed 3 candies with slow ball without losing life.

Sometimes a bit tricky as collecting the Slow Ball Power Up will put the speed down to 0.5. thus making it harder to get that ball bouncing up and down enough to destroy the candies. Fortunately the Power Up candies also count for this trophy and only require one hit to destroy.

As this game has a high RNG element I can confirm that this trophy was obtained within the Eight Character Level “Eri” for myself, however it will most likely be obtained on many levels throughout the playthrough.

Auto laser collected
Collected auto laser power up.

As soon as you collect the Laser Power Up you will have the ability to fire with the button. Collect 2 of them at the same time and you will not have to press the button at all whilst they are active.

As this game has a high RNG element I can confirm that this trophy was obtained within the Twenty-fifth Character Level “Chiyo” for myself, however it will most likely be obtained on many levels throughout the playthrough.

Double wide paddle collected
Stacked up multiple wide paddles in a level.

You’ll need to have the Wide Paddle Power Up enabled when collecting a second one. The Wide Paddle Power Up increases the size of your paddle and makes it easier to bounce that ball!

As this game has a high RNG element I can confirm that this trophy was obtained within the Eighteenth Character Level “Tora” for myself, however it will most likely be obtained on many levels throughout the playthrough.

Double fireball collected
Stacked up multiple fireballs in a level.

The Fire Ball Power Up will turn your ball to fire and destroy everything in its path. For this trophy you will need to collect a second one whilst the first is still active.
If you do this successfully the ball will double in size also

As this game has a high RNG element I can confirm that this trophy was obtained within the Twentieth Character Level “Yuki” for myself, however it will most likely be obtained on many levels throughout the playthrough.

6 balls reached
Stacked up multi ball power ups to reach 6 balls.

The 3-Ball Power Up is quite a tricky one, as collecting it will give you three ball total to play with. For this trophy you will need to collect 2 of the Power Ups and have them active at the same time, thus giving you 6 balls to effectively control.

As this game has a high RNG element I can confirm that this trophy was obtained within the Fifteenth Character Level “Harumi” for myself, however it will most likely be obtained on many levels throughout the playthrough.

Laser lord
Consumed 10 candies with laser without losing life.

As soon as you collect the Laser Power Up you will have the ability to fire with the button. Simply destroy 10 candies whilst this is active.

This can be achieved in a high number of levels throughout the playthrough and will most probably come naturally.

Fireball fury
Consumed 10 candies with fireball without losing life.

The Fire Ball Power Up will turn your ball to fire and destroy everything in its path. The first time you collect this you will most likely obtain this trophy, as long as you keep the ball alive.

This can be achieved in a high number of levels throughout the playthrough and will most probably come naturally.

Jawbreaker candies destroyed
Destroyed 5 Jawbreaker candies in a level.

The jawbreaker candies are unbreakable to a normal ball. You will need to collect the laser, or the fire power up to break these candies.

As this game has a high RNG element I can confirm that this trophy was obtained within the Twenty-fifth Character Level “Chiyo” for myself, however it will most likely be obtained on many levels throughout the playthrough.

Combo power up collected
Collected a combo of 3 or more power ups.

For this you will need to destroy the power up candies in quick succession and then collect the power ups that fall whilst others are still active.
Very easy when you obtain the Laser Power Up early in a level, as you can destroy the candies that you want.

Collected all powers ups and collectibles in level.

Easier in the beginning levels, as you will be able to have more time to collect the power ups. Try not to rush the level and concentrate on collecting all of them, including the ones that fall from the beaten Mini Bosses. 
You are allowed to lose a life between collecting these.

As this game has a high RNG element I can confirm that this trophy was obtained within the Second Character Level “Hitomi” for myself, however it will most likely be obtained on many levels throughout the playthrough.

No power ups collected
Completed a level without collecting any power ups.

Highly suggest to combine this with Bronze Slow player. You will need to avoid all power ups and let them past you.
You are permitted to collect the Bonus Coins whilst going for this.

Mini boss attacks survived
Survived all mini boss attacks in a level.

You will need to make it through at least one level without letting the Mini Boss shoot your paddle with their fire shot.

As this game has a high RNG element I can confirm that this trophy was obtained within the Second Character Level “Hitomi” for myself, however it will most likely be obtained on many levels throughout the playthrough.

7 lives win
Completed a level with 7 lives remaining.

You start each level with 5 lives and you can gain lives by collecting the “Life Collectible” a couple of times within one level. Lives are also awarded you every 10,000 points obtained

As this game has a high RNG element I can confirm that this trophy was obtained within the Second Character Level “Hitomi” for myself, however it will most likely be obtained on many levels throughout the playthrough.

30K points scored
Scored 30000 points in a level.

This will come naturally as you play. Points are award for breaking candies and completing the levels as quickly as possible, with more points awarded the quicker you combine and destroy thing whilst completing the level.

3 characters played
Completed levels with 3 different characters in game.

Play with and complete any 3 levels. Continuing after a level automatically selects a new character for you, so this will come naturally as you play.

5 stars earned
Earned total 5 stars in game.

Accumulative across all levels – Simply obtain 5 stars from completing levels.

5 coins collected
Collected total 5 coins in game.

Easily obtained naturally as you play through. Coins are collected like Power Ups and are accumulative through out your playthrough.

Obtaining a 5x speed can be quite tricky, however the trick to speed the ball up is to try and make it move more diagonally than up/down.
Keep playing and you will get more confident with the paddle/ball and then try to catch the ball right on the edge of the paddle to produce a more diagonal movement.

As explained in the description you need to complete a level without loosing a life. Simply put, do not let the ball go past you.

This will come naturally as you play. Points are award for breaking candies and completing the levels as quickly as possible, with more points awarded the quicker you combine and destroy thing whilst completing the level.

There are a high number of levels that have moving candies. You will obtain this naturally whilst attempting GoldStationary mini bosses defeated.

Stationary mini bosses defeated Gold
Defeated all stationary mini bosses in game.

Most levels have Mini Bosses appear, however for this trophy you simply need to defeat those bosses that do not fly around the screen. The following levels are the ones with Stationary Mini Bosses within –

  • Level 10 “Tomo” – Devil
  • Level 15 “Harumi” – Vampire
  • Level 20 “Yuki” – Devil & Witch
  • Level 25 “Chiyo” – Witch & Mummy
  • Level 30 “Kohaku” – Mummy & Vampire

You need to finish the level in order for these to count as defeated.

25 stars earned Gold
Earned total 25 stars in game.

Accumulative across all levels – Simply obtain 25 stars from completing levels.

You can obtain a 3 stars in every level you play, so you will may able obtain this on your way to 10 characters played if you are able to 3 star each level.
Otherwise simply keep playing different levels until you obtain some more stars.

25 coins collected Gold
Collected total 25 coins in game.

Easily obtained naturally as you play through. Coins are collected like Power Ups and are accumulative through out your playthrough.

10 characters played Gold
Completed levels with 10 different characters in game.

Play with and complete any 10 levels. Continuing after a level automatically selects a new character for you, so this will come naturally as you play.
