2021 has started for a few weeks now, but there are plenty more weeks and months to come. Just like every year, there is at least 1 game we really look forward to. So just like last year, Here are the games we look forward to in 2021! (and maybe we will give a little update on our picks from last year as well).
Dex Fragg – Founder
Update 2020: Well, last year my pick was Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga….. and that got delayed to 2021, so yeah, big sad, but that means I can pick it for this year! but I won’t.
The game I look forward to most in 2021 is Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. I’ve been a fan of the series ever since the 2nd game came out on the PlayStation 2 and that still holds up as one of my favorite games ever. So having a new Ratchet game in 2021 is really a dream come true.
EssTee – Guide Writer
I haven’t heard a lot about upcoming 2021 releases, but I have heard one thing that incredibly excited me… Dying Light 2. Still has a TBA release date but is still predicted for some point during 2021.
Dying light was one of my absolute favorite PS4 games. Action, horror, parkour, zombies, done in a slick high quality, excelling it far above other generic zombie games. I highly recommend it if you haven’t played it! Also ‘The Following’ DLC is some of the best DLC I have ever played. So Dying Light 2 will be a day 1 purchase for me for sure that I’m hyped for. And may well be the only day 1 AAA purchase as I haven’t heard anything else that floats my boat yet!
Phoenix Digital – Graphics Designer and Guide Writer
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is probably my most hyped up game. I’m a huge Star Wars fan, and I never got the chance to play the original Lego Star Wars, so this is why I’m excited to play this game whenever I can get my hands on it.
Oniwalker – Guide Writer and Reviewer
New games, every week, every month, every year. Some you end up not caring about. Others, you’re over the moon about and can’t wait! For me, one of the games I really can’t wait for is Trigger Witch by the indie developer Rainbite!
It’s a top down, twin stick shooter, where you play as a witch who uses guns! It’s look super fun, and I’m waiting on hand and foot for a release date. You also better believe that I’m getting it day one! Can’t wait to blow the cute animals of the Forest away! Mwahahha!
Dino_Roar – Guide Writer and Reviewer
Knowing that most of the AAA games are coming to the PS5 with upgraded engines and graphics gets me excited about what my favourite genre will offer this year. Having been a fan of the Racing Genre since a young child I cannot wait to see what the power of the PS5 will bring.
For me I cannot wait to see what Milestone S.r.l will come up with when we see MotoGP 2021!
We are expecting an announcement anytime soon, as an April release is normally targeted for these games, in line with the official racing game calendar starting.
For now, I wait with baited breath to see a glimpse of the next gen capabilities.
New-Stirum – Guide Writer
With the next generation, there are a lot of new games coming out during 2021.
The most waited and the most exciting one for me is Kena: The Bridge of Spirits.
Every single new trailer or announcement, makes me feel like a kid waiting for his present.
Even tho I don’t own a PlayStation 5 yet, I’m not sure I can hold myself from buying the game because I want to put my hands on it as soon as possible.
Furthermore, I’m really curious to see the differences between the Ps4 and the Ps5 versions so I might get both copies as well.
I’m really looking forward to Little Nightmares II. The first games is definitionally one of my favourite games of all time!
