Welcome to Distraint: Deluxe Edition Trophy Guide!

Distraint: Deluxe Edition developed by Jesse Makkonen and has been ported to the PSN by Ratalaika Games. You control Price within a 2D side-scrolling environment, an ambitious young man that is trying to secure a partnership within a famous company.

Roadmap:

Most of the trophies themselves will come through natural play, but the game itself can get highly confusing if you do not know which routes to take. There is no chapter select available once you have finished the game, so I have provided a full walkthrough at the end of the guide.

Step 1: Play through the story
It’s recommend you play the game without the aid of a walkthrough, as it is an extremely powerful storyline that will have you submersed within immediately.  It is however a fairly confusing maze of a game should and you may find yourself stuck on many occasions. There is also a few missable trophies that would result in a new playthrough should you not obtain them when they are available. The walkthrough provided at the end of the guide will be able to assist you should you get stuck.

Take over the property of Mrs. Goodwin.

After arriving at Mrs. Goodwin’s Home you will need to talk to her, Interact with the Chair, Interact with Door, Interact with Picture and finally head off to the right hand side to complete the chapter.

Find water to make coffee.

In order to progress the story when you wake up in Pricey’s House you will be tasked with making coffee. Interact with the Coffee Maker to receive the Coffeepot, then proceed to the Bedroom and interact with the water that is dripping through the ceiling whilst the Coffeepot is selected in your inventory.

Take over the property of Mr. Tailor.

Obtained automatically at the end of the second chapter after dealing with the dog and heading back to the Man.

Get the electricity back on.

During the Nursing Home chapter you will need to obtain a Key from the man in the Basement to unlock the locked door to the Breaker Room. Once inside the Breaker Room you will need to solve a puzzle. Simply interact with the five squares in the correct sequenced order to restore the power.

Create fire.

In order to create the fire in the Cabin you will need to collect the Matches (located in the Living Room) and the Paper (located in the waste bin in the Bedroom). Once you have collected these head back to the Fireplace and use them.

Take over the property of Mr. Jones.

After obtaining the Blues Book from the Slot Machine within Apartment 24 you will need to offer the Book to the group of people within Apartment 26.

Complete the game.

The last trophy before the Platinum which will be obtained after sitting in the chair in Pricey’s Living Room. Before doing so you must visit the Bathroom to obtain an Item, then the Bedroom to obtain a Note. Once you have both you are free to interact with the Chair next to the Television.

Try to use any item with a sign.

Missable – Once you reach the Forest head right and interact with the Man. He will give you a Key that you can use on the signpost at the entrance to the area. Once you have the Key, head back all the way left and interact with the sign when the Key is selected in your inventory.
There are other items in this area that will also trigger the Trophy. It does not have to necessarily have to be the Key.

Try taking water for the coffee from the toilet.

Missable – After waking up at Pricey’s House you will need to make some coffee. In order to achieve this trophy you will need to interact with the Toilet in the Bathroom after interacting with the Coffee Maker in the Kitchen and receiving the Coffeepot.

Try to cheer up the depressed dancer.

Missable – The Depressed Dancer is located on the Balcony of Apartment 24. In order to try and cheer them up you must offer them the Five Dollar Bill that can be obtained from the Trash Can within Room One of Apartment 26.
This is a highly confusing area, so I would suggest you follow the Walkthrough below in order to obtain this Trophy.

Try to offer the dog some gasoline.

Missable – The Gasoline can be found under the Desk in the Shed after proceeding through the Forest Cabin. Once obtained you will need to keep heading right in the Forest to locate the Dog and interact with it whilst the Gasoline is selected in your inventory.

Talk to the cleaning lady.

Missable – You will be able to talk to the Cleaning Lady after obtaining the Cowbell from the person and the Hanger from the wardrobe within Room Two. Once you have both proceed back to the Deception within the Lobby Area of the Nursing Home and offer the Hanger to the Cleaning Lady

Win the jackpot.

You must obtain the Coin by using the Five Dollar Bill on the phone within the Storage Area of Apartment 24, then interact with the Slot Machine in the Lounge of Apartment 24 during the scene change after interacting with the Green Lights whilst having the Coin selected in your inventory.
This is a timed event and is highly confusing. I therefore suggest that you refer to the relevant part of the Walkthrough below to see the steps required.

Try giving the flower to the nurse.

Missable – The Flower is obtained within Room Three of the Nursing Home after talking to the Skeleton. After receiving the Flower head back to the Lobby and offer the Flower to the Nurse within the Deception Hatch.

Listen what Jenni has to say about the prank.

Jenni is located in the Office Area. In order to prank her you must add Salt (located in the first safe of the Coffee Room) to the Coffee Maker, then go back to the Office Lobby and interact with her. Follow her into the Coffee Room and interact with her once more after she has taken a sip of the Coffee.

Visit the grave of Mrs. Goodwin.

After talking to the Grave Digger in the Cemetery you will need to locate the Plank that can be found in the back part of the Cemetery. In order to get there you will need to locate the Crowbar (Cemetery – Part Three) and then head through the wall in the Grave Digger’s Cabin.
Once obtained head back to the Grave and use the Plank to cross the gap to proceed further to the right.
