Welcome to the DARQ Trophy Guide!
Award winning horror puzzle indie sensation DARQ by Unfold Games is now available on PS4! This brilliant game was an utter joy to play, I highly recommend it to you all.
DARQ takes you on a boys journey through his dreams that quickly turn into nightmares, each chapter sinks you deeper into his lucid subconscious-driven dreams. Lloyd has to adapt to the new world, re-learn gravity, strain all of his senses and mind in order to solve puzzles and sneak past the strange creatures lurking in every DARQ corner of his mind..
Trophy wise, I have given this game a 4.5 difficulty simply because of 4 quite tricky speedrun trophies. The rest of the trophies and game you can complete with relative ease, but I’ve had to ramp it up because of these 4 quite tricky and tight trophies. Also time-wise when I tested this guide I got the platinum in 1 hour 17 minutes, but I’ve added a little time to the estimate above as it’s hard to tell how much practice people will need for the speedrun trophies!Â

Roadmap:
Step 1: Complete the game and grab the collectable from each chapter. & the 2 miscellaneous trophies.
First enjoy the game blind or use the walkthrough below to complete all chapters. Nothing is missable as there is chapter select. Make sure to grab the 6 collectable dream journal pages along the way before completing the game, there is 1 in each chapter 1-6. (There isn’t one in the finale chase chapter.)
Also along the way grab the 2 miscellaneous trophies, ‘Perceptive‘ for triggering the 3 encounters with the bag-headed boy, and ‘Off Camera‘ for completing the rotating circular maze puzzle in chapter 5 quicker than one full camera turn.

Step 2: Complete Extra Level ‘The Tower’, & its 2 trophies.
The tower is a bonus chapter, you can find it from the main menu and selecting ‘Extra Levels’, and selecting ‘The Tower’.
It has 2 trophies, one for completing the pyramid puzzle in the fewest moves, and a speedrun trophy for completing the level in under 6 minutes. Please refer to the walkthrough or trophy guide below for more details and the solutions.

Step 3: Complete Extra Level ‘The Crypt’, & its 5 trophies.
The Crypt is a bonus chapter, you can find it from the main menu and selecting ‘Extra Levels’, and selecting ‘The Crypt’.
There are 5 trophies in this level, 1 for finding the diamond skull, 1 for finding all 3 quartz skulls, one for finding all (4) skulls, one for completing the scissor puzzle in less than 15 seconds, and one for completing the entire level in less than 12 minutes. Chapter 1
Go right interact with bed
Go right (Press X to walk up walls) use switch to activate the bridge
Go left use switch
Go right pick up GEAR (on floor)
Go right wait at far right door with bars on for encounter with Bag-Headed Boy (1/3)
Use the switch on your left
Go right use switch
Go right pick up GEAR (on machine)
Go left put gear in machine
Use button on Key puzzle, complete simple block slide puzzle, pick up KEY EMBLEM
Pick up again the GEAR from the left
Go right put gear in machine
Go left pick up GEAR (same gear but you’re picking it up from upside down now)
Go left put the 2 gears in the machine
Go left use the switch to close the door
Put the key emblem in the floor
Use the red button, to begin the symbols puzzle:
First go right to hit the skull button

Go right press O to sneak past the lamp enemies when their lights are off, pick up the 2 GEARS by these enemies
Go right use the switch
Go left use the switch (to close the bridge so enemies can’t get to you in a moment)
Put the 3 gears in the machine
Go right and climb through the wooden boards to complete the chapter.
Chapter 2
Go right interact with bed
Go left use lever
Go left up to the moving train then go back right and wait by the turnstiles to trigger an encounter with the Bag-Headed Boy (2/3)
Go left turn wheel right x2 (path going up)
Go right pick up OLD WATCH
Go left turn wheel right (path going down)
Go right pick up SMALL KEY
Go left turn wheel right x2 (just wall)
Go right turn wheel left (same wheel just upside down, open the path with the map)
Go left use small key on locker, pick up MATCHES
Go right turn wheel left (same path you found the small key)
Go left use switch
Go right turn wheel left x2 (just wall)

Go right use matches on wooden door
Go right use old watch on floor gap
Use the lever on the right (will trigger an item to drop)
Pick up the LETTER T from the right
Go left to the moving train, use the Letter T to act as a lever in the slot

Chapter 3
Go left interact with bed
Go left pick up SEVERED HAND
Go left use severed hand on big lever
Go left use hanging hoops turn right x2
Go left open car bonnet pick up CAR BATTERY

Use the car battery in the machine on the left
Use the lever to start the puzzle (timed)
Use 1st machine: On D-pad press up x 2, right x1.
Use 2nd machine: On D-pad press up x2, right x2.
Go right use hanging hoops turn left x2
Go right use 3rd machine: On D-pad press up x 2, right x1.
Use 4th machine: On D-pad press up x 2, right x1.
(If done correctly it will have lowered the lift)
Pick up the SEVERED HAND from the lift on the right
Go left use the hanging hoops turn left x1
Go right use the lever, press up to raise the shelf to the top (it will start to drop when you let go)
Quickly go left use hanging hoops turn right x2
Quickly run back left and pick up the CAR KEY from the shelf coming down

Use lever press left (to move the lightbulb all the way to the left)
Use 2nd cog again, turn right
Go left use the lift button, pick up the LIGHTBULB

Go right use 1st cog again, turn left (to send the electricity back out the door)

Go left pick up SNAKE

Go left, sneak near the wheelchair lady, stand still when she looks up, when she looks down sneak closer and pick up the DYNAMITE next to her
Go right use lever on floor press up
Go left use the corkscrew in the box to act as a lever (by the red seats)

Go left sneak past the enemy, hide between the logs and up the crane to get past him
Pick up the COAL on the far left
Go right back past the enemy, hiding to get past him
Use the dynamite on the blocked door on the far right

Go left to see the rotating maze puzzle which has a tricky trophy attached to it read below before progressing…
*This puzzle has a speedrun trophy, for completing it before a full camera turn (which is about 11 seconds) so try to be as fast as you can!Â
There is no space for error! If you feel like you have stuttered or made a mistake then stop and let the lady kill you, so you can try again, without having to replay the whole chapter again to get back to this puzzle. Listen out for the clicks it might help you out.Â
Also ignore the screen as you will be blind for half of the time anyway while the camera is turning, just focus on inputting these directions on the D-pad perfectly and as quickly as you can. Good luck!

When you see the lampshade enemy then run right
Keep running right for a while until you fall down a slope
*Now the wheelchair lady is chasing you, use the lamps above as markers*
Run to under the 3rd lamp then stand still, wait for platform to fall
Run right over platform
Run right until under 3rd lamp, then run left until under next lamp, then run right
Keep running right until the scene flips upside down then run left

As body put the wall segment back in

Use the red button then quickly use the hole in the floor to start the puzzle.Â
Call the floor buttons 1-4 and roll the head on them this many times:

(Now when the skull is on the 4th begin the next)

(when completed the cabinet door will open)
Roll right near where the lift will be
As body go left to lift press right

Roll left but stop just the other side of the door to this coin puzzle room (so you are on the wooden panelling which is the under-side of the lift)

Go left pick up the WALL SEGMENT

As head roll left next to your body (position yourself on the right-side of floor button)
As body put the wall segment back in

Use the hole in floor to start the puzzle: When you have rolled over a floor button go to the next directional input:

Roll right near where the lift will be
As body go right pick up SKULL KEYÂ

As head move onto the lift
As body go left onto lift press left then press up
Go right put the wall segment in the wall

As head roll right over BOTH buttons, then roll back to by the removeable wall segment
As body use the left button:
Move middle bar Rx2
Move bottom bar Rx3
Move back up to have the top bar highlighted ready to start the puzzle
Now use the button on the right to begin the bell puzzle:
On the 2nd chime/dot move the top bar Rx1
On the 5th chime/dot move the top bar Lx1
On the 8th chime/dot move the bottom bar Lx1

*Small note: Don’t mash square here, the game can freeze. Wait for the bell to have fully turned before picking up the item.*
Pick up the SKULL KEY on the left

At the end of the chapter, when you have used the ‘Letter T’ to stop the trains from moving, before proceeding to the left to complete the level, first go right and use the wheel turn it right x2 (to get just the wall) then go right to get up on the ceiling and follow it around to find this collectable.

In extra level ‘The Crypt’.
Quartz Skull 1:
When you have gone left on the lift (with your body and your head) and completed the coffin puzzle, go left (leave the moveable wall segment where it is) and use the hole in the floor to control the head. As the head keep rolling left until you find this Quartz Skull.
Quartz Skull 2:
When you have completed the circular coins puzzle it will open the cabinet where you can pick up a ‘Skull Key’. As the head roll through this cabinet where the skull key was and keep going till you find this Quartz Skull.
Quartz Skull 3:
Just after getting this last Quartz Skull, as the head roll left just the other side of the door to this coin puzzle room, so you are on the wooden panelling which is the under-side of the lift. As the body move the lift up. As the head roll left (just so you are off the lift now). As the body now move the lift down. Now as the head roll right to find this last Quartz Skull!

This speedrun is pretty tight, there is basically no room for error. You will complete it with probably only about 15-20 seconds spare. So of course try to be as fast as you can! Always be running with R2. If you have made a mistake then press restart and try again. Be aware pausing the game will not pause the timer! But with a little practice you’ll get it!

This speedrun time is more forgiving than the others. You can complete it with about 2 minutes to spare, so you can get away with a little mistake here or there. Always be running with R2, and remember to also hold the R2 run button while rolling as the head! Of course if you have made a mega mistake then just press restart and try again. Be aware pausing the game will not pause the timer! But with a little practice you’ll get it!
Do a separate playthrough of this level specifically for this speedrun trophy. Don’t try and get all the skulls and the skull trophies at the same time as they will take quite a lot more time to get.

At the start of this level the first puzzle you reach will be this scissors puzzle. Namesake is because when you complete the puzzle large scissors will then hold the door open.
This speedrun trophy is tricky and requires you to be super fast! There is no room for error! If you stutter or make a mistake then press the square button which will reset the puzzle and try again.

At the start of the level move the head onto the middle of the plank/bridge. As the body use the switch to move the plank. As the head roll off the plank to the right (you are now at a different angle so you can get through the gap in the wall to reach this skull) As the body use the switch to move the plank out of the way. Now as the head roll left until you find this Diamond Skull!

Chapter 1
After picking up the first gear go right and stand by the door with the bars and wait till you get the bag-headed boy encounter.
Chapter 2
At the start of the chapter go left through the turnstiles carry on left up against the moving trains, then go back right and wait by the turnstiles till you get the bag-headed boy encounter.
Chapter 6
When you have used the compass and completed the wheels puzzle to connect the electricity opening the door to the morgue, pick up the severed leg from the morgue, then go back to the left and flip the electricity switch by the compass to trigger this final encounter with the bag-headed boy.

They were pretty tricky to find so I highly recommend using the walkthrough above to find their exact locations!
This trophy will automatically unlock at the same time as finding the last quartz skull trophy if following this walkthrough.

Chapter 5
This trophy is for completing the particular puzzle in chapter 5, the rotating circular maze puzzle, super fast before a full camera turn – which is about 11 seconds.
This speedrun trophy is tricky and requires you to be super fast! There is no space for error! If you feel like you have stuttered or made a mistake then stop and let the lady kill you, so you can try again, without having to replay the whole chapter again to get back to this puzzle. Listen out for the clicks the puzzle moves make, it might help.
Also ignore the screen as you will be blind for half of the time anyway while the camera is turning, so just focus on inputting these directions on the D-pad perfectly and as quickly as you can. Good luck!
Press the red button/lever of the puzzle, and then the timer will begin when you make your first move… On the D-pad input the following sequence:
