    Welcome to the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (2022) Trophy Guide!
    Call of duty is back with a brand new reboot in the Modern Warfare series. In this year’s entry, they added more trophies/achievements for its co-op mode, so if you have friends that play it, you can finally do some MW stuff together for trophies!


    Step 1: Play the game on any difficulty
    during your 1st playthrough, you should be able to clear out all the trophies/achievements that are available in the story of the game if you pick either Recruit or Regular difficulty.

    Step 2: 2nd playthrough on Veteran
    This step can be combined with Step 1, but it will make it a lot harder, so I recommend doing a 2nd playthrough in the veteran difficulty.

    Tips and Strategies:

    Don’t rush into things with the campaign, you die a lot quicker than in previous games and some trophies/achievements take some thinking.

    Shoot three enemies while underwater in ‘Wetwork’.

    Mission 3: Wetwork

    Kill the 1st person you see with a throwing knife and take his gun. With the gun equipped, go to some enemies that you see a bit ahead and press /B to go underwater and shoot them (Headshot is 1 hit kill, body shot 2/3 shots). After you have done this, I recommend restarting the mission or reloading the checkpoint (depending on where you spawn after resetting to the last checkpoint) and then do the Nessie trophy to minimalize playtime.

    Must be Wind
    Rescue the hostages in ‘Countdown’ without the enemies firing their weapons.

    Mission 17: Countdown

    When you do down the building, there are 11 enemies that you need to kill as stealthy as possible so the enemies can’t get a shot in. There are 2 on floor 1, 4 on floor 2, and 5 on floor 3.

    Hit the enemies as fast as possible with a headshot while they are focused on the hostages. It is also possible to kill 2 with 1 bullet and if you make a mistake you can always reload the last checkpoint.

    For the ultimate route I recommend following along with the video guide by Maka91Productions:

    Finish ‘Alone’ without firing a gun.

    Mission 13: Alone

    Sounds hard but it’s not that bad, you can use melee combat against enemies after you have gotten your knife, stay down and move slowly, just make sure you never press the shoot button.

    There are 2 areas filled with enemies, at the 1st you need to be stealthy and take them out slowly. On the 2nd one, you need to run as fast as you can and run to the church.

    This mission will take around 15 minutes to complete and you will also find the 2 final safes here for the Gentleman Thief Trophy/achievement.

    Test Drive
    Drive five vehicle types in ‘Violence and Timing’.

    Mission 10: Violence and Timing

    On the side of the road and on the highway are multiple cars you can take over, by pressing /A you can get on the roof and jump over to new cars. it might take a few tries if you miss the jump, but its a really short bit, and you always spawn back on the spawn truck after dying

    Here is the order to best unlock the trophy:

    • spawn truck
    • armored car – right side of the spawned truck
    • small car – side of the road
    • Van – side of the road
    • truck carrying enemies

    Reload the checkpoint or restart the mission after getting the trophy/achievement to doKeeping this One.

    Reach the penthouse in ‘El Sin Nombre’ without killing anyone or triggering the alarm.

    Mission 11: El Sin Nombre

    This will start after the interrogation scene and when you get free control to walk where you want.

    Stay silent and make sure nobody sees you. Don’t kill anybody. I highly recommend just following the video down below because there are a lot of twists and turns you will need to do, and follow the exact path to the T.

    After you have unlocked this trophy/achievement you will need to restart the mission right away to get the 1st of 3 safes for the Gentleman Thief trophy/achievement.

    Don’t touch the deck!
    In ‘Dark Water’ advance 90 meters towards the front of the ship without touching the deck.

    Mission 12: Dark Water

    This trophy achievement is almost impossible on higher difficulties due to the lack of cover, so it’s recommended to do this on a lower difficulty.

    When you reach the 2nd boat, you need to play the floor is lava with the sliding boxes while being shot at and while shooting at enemies. Make sure you never actually set foot on the big boat and jump on the red container straight away. be patient and watch for the containers and boxes to get close, don’t make a mistake and jump while not being sure. There is no time limit you have to keep up with. If you do miss one, you can always just reload to the last checkpoint, this might take multiple tries.

    You should stick to the left side as much as possible and sometimes go to the middle when needed. The final container you need to stand on, in the end, is the left one of the 3. when that container hits the wall, jump on the railing, but do not jump over it on the floor, keep walking over the railing to the end of the area to the stairs.

    Keeping this One
    Reach Price using the first vehicle you hijack.

    Mission 10: Violence and Timing

    When you get cut loose from the helicopter, take over the car on your right. Never press /A to jump on the roof of the car, this will void the trophy/achievement. Drive behind the convoy and take down all the enemies in it from a bit of a distance away so that they can’t hit you. Make sure to not get too much damage. The trucks with no enemies on them will ram you, make sure to slow down and move out of the way when driving past them.

    After a bit, there will be a roadblock, try to slowly (but not too slow) drive through it to make sure you don’t hit anything in there.

    When you see civilian cars destroyed, you will start needing to dodge mines on the road. The best thing you can do is stick to the left side on the dirt, there will spawn the least mines, but watch out, you will still need to stick your head out to shoot enemies. When you shoot down the 2 enemies throwing the mines you can drive normally again.

    After that, Price will tell you to move to his truck, he will drive past you and stick your car to the left side of the truck. When you jump over, the trophy/achievement will unlock.

    Gentleman Thief
    Open three safes in the Campaign.

    Mission 11: El Sin Nombre + Mission 13: Alone.

    Safe 1

    This trophy is divided into 2 missions, the 1st of the 3 saves is in mission 11: El Sin Nombre and takes place after the interrogation part. follow the same path partly from Ghost-in-Training but inside the house, instead of going right into a room, go left and take out the guard, walk forward and go right, then head into the 1st room on the left. The safe is located in the closest in the middle of the room. Use code 02-02-19 to open it.

    Safe 2

    After disarming the shotgun in the 2nd half of Mission 13: Alone, you will go upstairs and be greeted by a man crawling to his death while you enter a coffee shop. Head straight to the left to the door and open it with a pry tool that you can create with the items in that room. In the corner of the opened room, there is the safe with the code 10-10-80.

    Safe 3

    Right after doing safe 2, jump down and head left to the mechanic shop. In the back is the safe with the code 37-60-80. I recommend taking down all the enemies first, there are a ton so do it slowly and silently, taking them out after already being seen is a massive pain.

    Wall of Duty
    Kill three Enemies with the Riot Shield in the Campaign or in Co-op.

    Mission 14: Prison Break

    After breaking out Alejandro, you will see a few enemies that you need to take down in a specific way for the Backpack Guy trophy/achievement, they have riot shields so pick one of them up and head towards the next area, there you will be able to quickly kill 3 enemies with a punch while you have the riot shield equipped. After that you can reload the checkpoint to continue Backpack Guy.

    While affected by one Flashbang, kill two enemies in the Campaign or in Co-op.

    Mission 2: Kill or Capture

    When you approach the 1st house, press /Y to switch to the VEL 46 before your squad opens the door. Right when they open the door, throw a flash right below you by pressing L1/LB and blind yourself. Then shoot in the wild/horizontally to kill the enemies inside. After you have shot and killed 2 enemies the trophy/achievement will unlock.

    Practice makes Perfect
    Shoot all the targets in the training area in ‘Ghost Team’.

    Mission 16: Ghost Team

    At the end of the mission, you will jump the wall and be inside a training area, there are a total of 33 metal targets you will need to shoot down. Do not pick up explosives. You will need them to continue because while you are doing the targets, a tank is following you and trying to take you down, but picking up the explosives triggers a checkpoint making things harder for you.

    A Crappy Way to Die
    Kill the enemy in the porta-potty.

    Mission 12: Dark Water

    At the start of the mission, follow your squad until you need to walk up some stairs. When you reach the top of the stairs, you can see 2 porta-potties when you look right. Shoot through the left one and watch the enemy fall out.

    Reach the barge without being seen in ‘Wetwork’.

    Mission 3: Wetwork

    For this trophy/achievement, I can only give you some tips and I highly recommend just following along with the video here below.

    • Kill from behind.
    • Got seen? reload checkpoint asap!
    • Get the bullets from killed enemies.
    • Swim underwater as much as possible to get closer when needed.
    • when grabbing an SMG, use the 1-bullet option for it by pressing left on the D-pad.

    No time to lose
    Complete the CCTV sequence in four minutes.

    Mission 14: Prison Break

    Pausing the game also pauses the timer, so the best thing I can recommend is following along with the video and playing it in sections. You need to get Ghost through the map so he can plant some explosives. You can give him orders about where he needs to go and who to take out. You can reload the checkpoints if you make a mistake.

    Backpack Guy
    Kill gassed or blinded enemies using a Molotov, Semtex and Frag in ‘Prison Break’.

    Mission 14: Prison Break

    You can switch throw items by pressing on the D-pad and selecting the tear gas and 1 of the 3 items by selecting it and then pressing /X.

    Frag: Right after saving Alejandro out of his cell, you see a few enemies with riot shields, throw gas at them, and then throw the Frag grenade right after. Pick up one of their riot shields and kill 3 enemies with it for the Wall of Duty trophy/achievement and then let yourself get killed.

    Semtex + Molotov: in the area, you just did Wall of Duty, you will respawn and throw the gas at the door on the back left and semtex, and then do the same thing at the enemy on the door right from it but throw a Molotov instead. if you are quick you should be having no problem with this, as long as the enemies both die before you do it will unlock.

    Cutting Heads off Snakes
    Finish all Campaign missions on Veteran or Realism difficulty.

    For this trophy/achievement, you will need to finish the FULL game on at least Veteran difficulty. If you want the easiest time with it, we highly recommend doing it on Veteran instead of Realism.

    Time for Pints
    Finish the Campaign on any difficulty.

    You just need to complete the main story. You do not have to worry about any difficulty for this one, but it is possible to do this at the same time as Cutting Heads off Snakes.

    Nobody was There
    Never trigger the alarm in ‘Recon by Fire’.

    Mission 9: Recon By Fire

    After doing the 1st part of the mission and talking over coms, you will get to snipe people off from a distance that are stationed at a wind farm warehouse.

    Price will give you all the information on what to do and you can never miss a shot. If you keep listening and doing what Price tells you you should be good, he will tell you if you should aim higher by giving you “notches” 1 notch is 1 line on the rifle. If you do manage to set off an alarm, you can pause the game and reload the last checkpoint.

    After shooting down a ton of enemies, you need to talk again and then move one toward the location. During this part, 2 cars with enemies will come and you will slowly need to crawl past them. You are able to be seen afterward while killing everyone in the warehouses.

    When you meet up with Price again to go to the lighthouse, you can’t be seen again and you will need to 1-hit headshot every enemy because they have protective gear. After clearing all the enemies there the trophy/achievement will unlock.

    Night Fight
    Earn three Stars in ‘Low Profile’.

    Currently unknown, mode unlocks on October 28.

    Earn three Stars in ‘Denied Area’.

    Currently unknown, mode unlocks on October 28.

    Kings of the Mountain
    Earn three Stars in ‘Defender: Mt. Zaya’.

    Currently unknown, mode unlocks on October 28.

    Going Dark
    Complete ‘Low Profile’ without triggering any alarms.

    Currently unknown, mode unlocks on October 28.

    Only the Beginning
    Earn at least one Star in Co-op.

    Simply complete 1 of the co-op missions to get at least 1 star.

    Full SSE
    Find 20 intel fragments in Co-op.

    Currently unknown, mode unlocks on October 28.
