Introduction:

Welcome to the Bleed Trophy Guide! What does it take to become a hero? In this case, you must kill all the heroes of the world to become the only hero! Enter the world of Bleed, a fast-paced, side-scrolling shooter! Can you kill all the heroes and become the only one?

Roadmap:

Step 1: Play the Game on Every Difficulty

During this stage, simply play the game through on every difficulty setting. Get a feel for the game and if you get an S-Rank on any bosses, that’s less bosses you have to worry about later. By the time you’re done this stage, you’ll have a feel for the game and half of the needed runs done.

You’ll be earning these trophies:
Bronze Story Clear: Easy
Silver Story Clear: Normal
Gold Story Clear: Hard
Gold Story Clear: Very Hard

Step 2: Complete all the “Secret Mission” Trophies

During this stage, you’ll want to get any of the level-specific trophies out of the way that you didn’t acquire yet. There is one level-specific trophy per level, and a couple of them are a little annoying. When you’re done with this stage, you’ll have even more trophies cleaned up!

During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Bronze Secret Mission 01: Gate Crasher
Bronze Secret Mission 02: Anti-Omelette
Bronze Secret Mission 03: Lil’ Mama
Bronze Secret Mission 04: Speed Demon
Bronze Secret Mission 05: Preferred Polarity
Bronze Secret Mission 06: Clean Shoes
Bronze Secret Mission 07: Perfect Pacifist

Step 3: Practice Every Level and S-Rank all Bosses

For this stage, what you’ll want to do is practice every level on Very Hard and know them in and out. During this stage, you can also S-Rank whatever boss you haven’t got an S-Rank on, which can be done on easy if you can’t seem to do it on Very Hard. By the end of this stage, you’ll have just a couple of trophies remaining.

During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Silver S-Rank: Battalion
Silver S-Rank: Bubble Core
Silver S-Rank: Bunny Rockette
Silver S-Rank: Chopper Core
Silver S-Rank: Dragon Heart
Silver S-Rank: Gibby & Stu
Silver S-Rank: Guppy
Silver S-Rank: Laser Bots
Silver S-Rank: Mantis Core
Silver S-Rank: Mirror Core
Silver S-Rank: Rival
Silver S-Rank: Spider Core
Silver S-Rank: White Mk II

Step 4: Clean up the Random Trophies

During this stage, it’s time to clean up the random trophies you don’t have, which should only be three, unless you already have them.

During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Silver Challenge Mode Champion
Bronze Intrepid Explorer
Bronze Quiet Contemplation
Bronze Excessively Stylish

Step 5: Arcade Mode Playthroughs

Now is the point where all the practice and knowing the game pays off. You have to complete Arcade Mode on every difficulty setting, which requires you to beat the game in one sitting, with one life, with no regenerating health. It’s best to have a fully upgraded health and Slo-Mo gauge and know the best weapons you’re most comfortable with. If you manage to beat Arcade Mode on Very Hard before all the other difficulties, you will have no problem with the lower difficulties and you will have a very hard, rare, fun platinum under your belt!

During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Bronze Arcade Clear: Easy
Silver Arcade Clear: Normal
Gold Arcade Clear: Hard
Gold Arcade Clear: Very Hard

40-platinum Platinum

Tips and Strategies:

  • The best upgrades to get at first are Health and Slo-Mo Gauge upgrades. After those, the next best thing to get is the upgrade to speed up your Slo-Mo Gauge recovery rate.
  • When you want to switch weapons, you have to press and go to the “Change Weapons” part of the menu and press to enter it. Press  again and you get to choose any weapons you want that you have purchased. You only get to have two weapons selected at once.
  • The best weapon for close-range is the shotgun at first.
  • Slo-Mo is a great way to get around some enemy attacks or keep enemies close to you to get in a lot of damage.

This is where the platinum gets its very hard difficulty, as it takes a lot of practice to and determination to make it through. You can practice each level as much as you’d like on Very Hard so you know them inside and out, and it’s very recommended that you practice a lot! When you complete Arcade Mode, the trophy will unlock after the final boss is defeated.

Challenge Mode Champion upscale-245262160018212
Win a Challenge Mode fight against 3 opponents.

To get this trophy, you must win a Challenge Mode fight against 3 bosses. Challenge Mode is unlocked after you complete the story on any difficulty. To access it, you must go to the Extras Menu and click Challenge Mode. You can then pick any of the bosses from the game and fight them in your choice of arena. Simply pick 3 bosses of your choice, and then defeat them all for the trophy.

Secret Mission 01: Gate Crasher
Completely trash Guppy’s Manor.

To get this trophy, you must destroy all the collectibles in the first half of the first level. There are chandeliers that hang from the ceiling in the first level, and you must shoot all of them down. If you’ve destroyed all of the chandeliers, the trophy will pop when you get outside and see a helicopter on the left side of the screen.

Secret Mission 02: Anti-Omelette
Don’t break any egg’s in the Earth’s core.

To get this trophy, you must complete all the sections of level two, without destroying any eggs. If you’re standing infront of an egg, and you fire a weapon, it will get destroyed. You have to go very slow and be very careful of the enemies you shoot in this level. If you break one egg, the trophy will be void and you will have to restart the level to get it. If you make it to the boss without destroying any eggs, the trophy will unlock.

Secret Mission 03: Lil’ Mama
Don’t trip any lasers in the Hi-Security Complex.

To get this trophy, you have to make it through most of the third level without touching any lasers. If you happen to touch any lasers, a mass of little enemies will spawn, and you will have voided the trophy, so you’ll have to restart the level to try again. If you make it through the first two sections without tripping any lasers, the trophy will unlock.

Secret Mission 04: Speed Demon
Reach and defeat Bunny Rockette in 3 minutes.

For this trophy, you must beat the boss of the fourth level in 3 minutes after reaching them. It’s not as hard as it sounds as the boss fight is quite easy. Refer to Silver S-Rank: Bunny Rockette for information on the attack patterns of the boss.

Secret Mission 05: Preferred Polarity
Only fight one color of blob in the underground Lab.

To get this trophy, you have to defeat only one color of blob during the two sections of the fifth level. The best color to defeat is blue, as they attack you the most. Some red blobs will attack you now and again, but simply use bullet time to avoid them, as they are fast. If you happen to kill a red blob, you must restart the entire level and try again. Once you reach the Laser Bot boss, the trophy will unlock if you’ve only killed blue blobs.

Secret Mission 06: Clean Shoes
Don’t step on the regenerating blocks in the Dragon’s stomach.

To get this trophy, you have to make it through the section of level six, where there are regenerating blocks, without stepping on them. Its best that you have a fully upgraded Slo-Mo gauge for this. The regenerating blocks are annoying to deal with, as you have to be fast to get through them and you have to air dash to make you sure you don’t land on any of them. The best weapon to use while getting through the block is the Dual Pistols, as they fire fast, even in Slo-Mo. There are four parts of regenerating blocks in level seven, and if you get through them all without stepping on a single block, the trophy will unlock once you enter the next section of the level.

Secret Mission 07: Perfect Pacifist
Do no damage and take no damage in the Hall of Heroes.

To get this trophy, you have to make it through all of level seven, without killing any enemies or taking any damage. It is best to have a fully upgraded Slo-Mo gauge for this and to play on Easy. There are five floors you have to get through without taking damage. The best thing to do is play the beginning of the level through a couple of times to memorize the floors and sections, and when you have a good grasp of the level, run through it without taking damage. If you haven’t taken any damage or killed any enemies, the trophy will unlock once you reach the rooftop of the Hall Of Heroes.

Intrepid Explorer
Investigate the pit in Guppy’s Manor.

To get this trophy, you must fall in a pit in the first level. After the miniboss, which is a helicopter that shoots at you, there will be a pit that you must jump over. Instead of jumping over it, jump in it. You will touch a floor and not die, and the trophy will then unlock.

Quiet Contemplation
Recite some poetry atop the Hall of Heroes.

To get this trophy, you must “Recite Poetry” on the roof of the Hall Of Heroes. At the end of level seven, when you reach the rooftop, before advancing too far, jump walk back and forth on the roof. Eventually your character will say something and then the trophy will pop.

Excessively Stylish
Reflect a bullet that was reflected by the Rival.

To get this trophy, you must reflect a bullet back at the boss at the end of level seven. First off, you have to buy with Katana from the in-game store for 1,800 points. Next, you have to get to the end of level seven. Once there, push  and go to “Change Weapons” and equip a gun and the Katana. When the boss starts using his sword, now is the time to get this trophy.

Start off by using whatever gun you chose, and use Slo-Mo with and fire your gun at the enemy. Then quickly switch to your Katana using or  and wait for the boss to reflect your bullet. When he does, the bullets you shot will come flying back towards you, and when they get close quickly start using the Katana to hit the bullets. If done properly, the bullets will reflect back to the boss and the trophy will unlock.

S-Rank: Battalion upscale-245262160018212
Defeat Battalion with an S-Rank.

To get this trophy, you must defeat the boss at the end of the fifth level with an S-Rank. To get an S-Rank, you must do damage, without taking damage. To build your style rank a little faster, you can switch weapons with and  and use every weapon on the boss.

The battalion is actually quite simple. The best weapons to use are the shotgun and the dual pistols. The boss is made up of different colored blobs that you fought through the level and they combine to make one attack each time. If the boss turns yellow, it takes form of a bomb that will explode and send yellow blobs out in every direction that hurt you. If it turns green, it becomes a shark and will go underground and come back up to try and hurt you. If it turns pink, it will be a rocket that will follow you around and leave a trail of pink blobs in its path, but are easy to get around. If it turns red, it will turn into a fist, that will go to one side of the arena and then quickly move over to the other, so you must use Slo-Mo and jump over it when it moves. Now the only time the boss can be damaged is when it takes form. When it’s floating around the arena without taking shape, it cannot be damaged. If you managed to have an S-Rank when the boss is defeated, the trophy will unlock.

S-Rank: Bubble Core upscale-245262160018212
Defeat the Bubble Core with an S-Rank.

To get this trophy, you must defeat the mid level boss of the sixth level with an S-Rank. To get an S-Rank, you must do damage, without taking damage. To build your style rank a little faster, you can switch weapons with and  and use every weapon on the boss.

The bubble core is another tough battle. The bubble core will float around the arena, shooting out bubbles, that will turn into lasers and fire directly at you. The annoying part of this fight is that the bubble core constantly moves and the lower its health, the faster the bubbles turn into lasers. When you defeat the boss with an S-Rank, the trophy will then unlock.

S-Rank: Bunny Rockette upscale-245262160018212
Defeat Bunny Rockette with an S-Rank.

To get this trophy, you must defeat the boss at the end of the fourth level with an S-Rank. To get an S-Rank, you must do damage, without taking damage. To build your style rank a little faster, you can switch weapons with and  and use every weapon on the boss.

This trophy is much easier to acquire once you upgrade your Slo-Mo bar and once you buy the upgrade to fill your Slo-Mo bar even faster. When it comes to Bunny Rockette, she flies around the map very very fast. The only way you get a chance to hit her is when you hold  and use Slo-Mo. The main attacks of this boss are, when shes flying around the map, she shoots projectiles at you the whole time. At one point she might fly all the way up in the air. If that happens, a mech will come down from where she flew up, and go across the floor of the arena, so simply jump over it. When you defeat the boss with an S-Rank, the trophy will unlock.

S-Rank: Chopper Core upscale-245262160018212
Defeat the Chopper Core with an S-Rank.

To get this trophy, you must defeat the mid-level boss of the first level with an S-Rank. To get an S-Rank, you must do damage, without taking damage. To build your style rank a little faster, you can switch weapons with and  and use every weapon on the boss.

The boss is fairly simple. It has four different attacks that it will try and hit you with. Its main attack is shooting rockets at you, which can be destroyed with your own gunfire. It will also go to one side of the arena and activate its turret and fire at you, and this can be dodged by either jumping over the bullets or getting underneath it. It will also put its nose down and fly across the screen so you can easily jump over it using Slo-Mo. The last attack it will do to you will be it flies into the background and it will shoot rockets at you in the foreground that will fall from the sky. When you kill the boss with an S-Rank, the trophy will unlock.

S-Rank: Dragon Heart upscale-245262160018212
Defeat the Dragon Heart with an S-Rank.

To get this trophy, you must defeat the boss at the end of the sixth level with an S-Rank. To get an S-Rank, you must do damage, without taking damage. To build your style rank a little faster, you can switch weapons with and  and use every weapon on the boss.

This battle can be a bit rough depending on how the boss decides to attack. There are four objects around the heart that do one of two things. Either spawn enemies, or shoot projectiles at you. The floor will move throughout the entire boss fight and sometimes the walls will close in, making it that much harder to avoid attacks. One of the things that will seriously hurt your run, is if an enemy spawns while the walls are closed in on you, because their projectiles will go through the wall, and you won’t be able to kill the enemy until they leave the area of the wall. Heavy-hitting weapons are suggested for this fight, mainly the shotgun and the rocket launder. When you defeat the boss with an S-Rank, the trophy will unlock.

S-Rank: Gibby & Stu upscale-245262160018212
Defeat Gibby & Stu with an S-Rank.

To get this trophy, you must defeat the boss at the end of the second level with an S-Rank. To get an S-Rank, you must do damage, without taking damage. To build your style rank a little faster, you can switch weapons with and  and use every weapon on the boss.

For this boss fight, there are two worms that jump around the map, shooting projectiles at you. They will jump out of the ground to attack you and then go back underground afterward. The only other attack the bosses have, is that they will go to each side of the map, and stand up out of the ground and shoot projectiles at you, and this is a perfect time to attack one and get some heavy damage in. When you beat this boss with an S-Rank, the trophy will unlock.

S-Rank: Guppy upscale-245262160018212
Defeat Guppy with an S-Rank.

To get this trophy, you must defeat the boss at the end of the first level with an S-Rank. To get an S-Rank, you must do damage, without taking damage. To build your style rank a little faster, you can switch weapons with and  and use every weapon on the boss.

Guppy is a pretty easy boss, as the fight starts with him floating in the middle of the room. He will then shoot out enemies at you, and he may also turn red and try to fall onto you. If he turns red, quickly hold  to activate Slo-Mo and run under him. After a quarter of his health is gone, he will break into 4 smaller enemies. They will shoot projectiles at you, and you will know because of the sound cues. After they take so much damage, they will then break into 6 smaller enemies. If you have an S rank by that time, it is easier to deal with the mass by using the rocket launcher to quickly dispose of the enemies. If you beat Guppy with an S-Rank, the trophy will unlock.

S-Rank: Laser Bots upscale-245262160018212
Defeat the Laser Bots with an S-Rank.

To get this trophy, you must defeat the mid level boss of the fifth level with an S-Rank. To get an S-rank, you must do damage, without taking damage. To build your style rank a little faster, you can switch weapons with and  and use every weapon on the boss.

With this boss, there are 3 laser bots that you can damage. Two of the bots are blue, so the way that they face, is the way the lasers will go. One of the bots are red and it will follow you around and try to shoot the laser directly at you. Once the lasers are on screen, they will stay there for a few seconds, giving you a chance to do some damage. The only other attack the bosses do, are that they will form a triangle shape in the air, and either the one red, or the two blue bots will start spinning with their lasers always active. So it’s very easy to tell how to dodge their attack. When you defeat the boss with an S-Rank, the trophy will unlock.

S-Rank: Mantis Core upscale-245262160018212
Defeat the Mantis Core with an S-Rank.

To get this trophy, you must defeat the mid-level boss in the fourth level with an S-Rank. To get an S-Rank, you must do damage, without taking damage. To build your style rank a little faster, you can switch weapons with and  and use every weapon on the boss.

The Mantis core is the mid-level boss of the 4th level. You will be on a train and it will attack you. The way to damage this boss is by shooting its face, which is center mass. This boss is actually quite simple as it only has a few attacks. It will mostly shoot balls of energy at you one at a time that is easy to dodge. Another attack is that it will use one of its legs and try to stomp on you 3 times. If it does that, simply go Slo-Mo with  and dodge it at least once, and then it shouldn’t touch you again. The most annoying attack is if it slams its face into the ground, and you will know it’s going to do this, because it fully extends its legs then drops. You must move to the sides and your style gauge will start dropping, or you can take a risk and try to get in the tiny space between its head and its leg. If you do that, you will have a chance to deal a lot of damage. The last attack is that it will shoot energy very quickly from one side of the screen, to the other, and to dodge this, you must jump up on the train car, near its leg, but be careful not to touch its leg or else you’ll take damage. If you manage to defeat it with an S-Rank, the trophy will unlock right after its death.

S-Rank: Mirror Core upscale-245262160018212
Defeat the Mirror Core with an S-Rank.

To get this trophy, you must defeat the mid level boss in the fifth level with an S-Rank. To get an S-Rank, you must do damage, without taking damage. To build your style rank a little faster, you can switch weapons with and  and use every weapon on the boss.

The mirror core can be a very tricky fight. The best weapons to use are the dual pistols and shotgun for this fight. You’re confined to a very small platform as well, so it makes this fight even trickier. The boss will shoot beams at you that will bounce around until they get to the back of the screen, and this is its main attack. The best attack that it does, it that it moves to the left of the screen, and then rushes at you, and this attack is the best chance to get damage in and get your style up. Simply hold to go Slo-Mo and run to the very left of the platform, and then use  or  and switch to the shotgun, and just lay into the boss. After it moves back, switch back to the pistols. Now the most annoying attack is when it shoots blue lasers, because one of three things will have to happen. Either you will be able to jump over them in Slo-Mo, or you will have to use Slo-Mo and jump through the opening of the laser shots which is veryyyy tricky and hard to do. You could also get lucky and be able to stand under the lasers and not have them touch you. If you managed to keep an S-Rank when you defeat the boss, the trophy will unlock.

S-Rank: Rival upscale-245262160018212
Defeat the Rival with an S-Rank.

To get this trophy, you must defeat the boss at the end of the seventh level with an S-Rank. To get an S-Rank, you must do damage, without taking damage. To build your style rank a little faster, you can switch weapons with and  and use every weapon on the boss.

The Rival is a tough boss, as he is the final boss. The few attacks that he does is that he will get a speech bubble above his head and then a bomb will fall down from the sky and create a cloud of damage that goes around the map. To avoid this attack, you just have to jump as the bomb falls. Another thing he will do is move around the map with a rocket launcher while shooting at you with rockets, one at a time, until his last attack with the launcher will be a lot of rockets in a short time frame. Simply jump out of the way of this attack when it happens. The last thing he will do is run around the map with a Katana, which he will use to reflect shots from your guns back at you, and if he gets close to you, he will hit you with it for damage. When you defeat him with an S-Rank, the trophy will unlock.

S-Rank: Spider Core upscale-245262160018212
Defeat the Spider Core with an S-Rank.

To get this trophy, you must defeat the mid-level boss of the third level with an S-Rank. To get an S-Rank, you must do damage, without taking damage. To build your style rank a little faster, you can switch weapons with and  and use every weapon on the boss.

The Spider Core is a tough enemy, as there isn’t much room with the arena and one attack in particular can ruin your run. One of the main attacks the boss does is that it will shoot a couple of bombs your way in an arcing motion, and you can deal with them by either shooting them, or dodging them. Another attack is that it will shoot a bunch of bombs from the top of its body and they will rain down on you. The best way to deal with this attack, is by using Slo-Mo and standing in one spot and shooting the bombs that appear above your head. The boss may also occasionally jump to the platform that you are on, and if it does, you have to use Slo-Mo to get to the other platform fast enough, without the boss landing on top of you. Now for the last attack that can seriously damage your run, the boss may look down at the floor with a turret, and he will shoot in an arcing motion from the floor, to the top of the screen and the only way to dodge this is by going off the side of the platform your on to avoid the bullets and then quickly air dashing back up onto the platform before falling to your death. If you beat the boss with an S-Rank, the trophy will unlock.

S-Rank: White Mk II upscale-245262160018212
Defeat White Mk II with an S-Rank.

To get this trophy, you must defeat the boss at the end of the third level with an S-Rank. To get an S-Rank, you must do damage, without taking damage. To build your style rank a little faster, you can switch weapons with and  and use every weapon on the boss.

The White Mk II can be a little difficult to get an S-Rank for as it fires a lot of missiles at you. The main boss is the middle part of the boss and it has a ring that rotates around it that protects it from damage. While it’s moving around, it will shoot missiles at you. If it sits still and twirls its ring very fast, it will throw the ring at you, leaving the main part exposed, but the ring will fire MANY missiles at you, so take the chance to do some damage and then quickly deal with the incoming missiles. The other attack is that it will roll around the room in a figure 8 pattern. Before it does this attack is will stop in midair and go up and down very slightly and then drop to the ground. Make sure to jump over this attack and use Slo-mo with  , as it is a very fast move. If you beat the boss with an S-Rank, the trophy will unlock right after it dies.
