Introduction:

Welcome to the trophy guide for Arise: A Simple Story. Play through the journey of two individuals where memories come alive and time bends to your will on your journey to this platinum trophy.

Roadmap:

Below is the trophy roadmap that will provide you with the steps needed to take in order to achieve the platinum. Keep in mind that you can go about the trophies however you please, and the roadmap is just a recommendation on what i fell is the easiest way to achieve the platinum trophy.

Step 1: Complete the Story & Find all the Collectibles
In this step you will be completing all 10 levels in the game while finding all 59 of the memory collectibles. It is recommended to complete the game before trying any of the miscellaneous trophies so you can familiarize yourself with the levels. It is also recommended that you pick up all of the memories / collectibles while you play so you can save time during the next step.

The game consists of 10 levels which can be replayed at any point in time. You can also see the memories you have collected at any time by approaching the level in Limbo, or from the pause menu of the respective level under the ‘memories’ option. I recommend you save the level specific trophies for step 2 because it is too much to fit into a single step, and i feel it will take from the story as well.

I have provided a text walk through for each of the 10 levels as well as a collectible guide under each of the respective story related trophies. If you are having trouble completing the level or just want to follow a text guide while you play, you can follow the one that I have provided. If you want to play the game on your own and just want to follow a collectible guide, I have linked a collectible video for each of the 10 levels under their respective collectible trophies.

Simply complete all 10 of the levels in the game, and collect all 59 of the memory collectibles and you will complete this step.

During this step you’ll be earning these trophies:

Bronze She
Bronze Shy Guy
Bronze Joy
Bronze Just Kidding

Step 2: Level Specific Trophies / Clean-Up / Platinum Trophy
During this step you will be earning the remainder of the trophies as well as the platinum. There is a level specific trophy for each of the 10 levels in the game. Each trophy requires you to do a specific task for the level. They range from tasks such as simply walking through flowers/object, and completing the levels without dying / being touched.

Some of these trophies will prove difficult and likely take a few attempts. Some trophies are made easier by being able to restart the checkpoint prior to messing up. Some of the trophies are also made easier by not having to do all of the tasks during a single play of the level. I have provided very specific details for each of the respective trophies in my guide. It will provide tips for each trophy as well as tell you which ones you can restart checkpoint on / replay and not lose progress.

After completing each of the 10 level specific trophies, the only trophy you will need (if following my roadmap) will be Bronze Always together which can be earned in 1 minute for simply activating co-op mode. There is also a description on how to earn this trophy in the guide below. If following my roadmap / guide, you will earn the platinum trophy shortly after doing this. Please refer to the guide below for any trophies you may need help with achieving.

During this step you’ll earn these trophies:

Silver Gone with the wind
Gold Bubble addict
Silver Bushman

Stand on the platform and melt the ice so that you float to the top and can reach the platform in front of you to trigger a short scene with the statue. Jump across the stones to your right and then continue on to another wooden platform you need to use to reach the hill above. (Memory 1/5: On this hill. You can jump across the rocks to your right to reach it) Continue down this hill and you will reach another statue scene. After this, you will need to raise the water so that you can use the wooden plank in front of you to reach the other side.

Run to your left and climb the hill until you can’t any longer. Raise the water and you will notice a wooden plank appear to your left. Jump on this plank and then raise the water some more to reach a second wooden plank. Jump across and then lower the water so that you can continue. (Memory 2/5: Right here located to the left of this area. Climb the rock wall to your left and then jump across the stones to reach it) Continue forward and climb the rock wall ahead of you that leads up the hill. Run around the cliff and you will notice there is a rock wall leading up and down. To continue the chapter, take the path going up. (Memory 3/5: Instead of going up, go down. Continue on and it will be directly underneath the stone arch)

Continue up this hill and you will trigger another scene. (Memory 4/5: Go down this hill and to the right. Raise the snow so that you can jump across the stone platforms to reach this memory) Raise the water so you can safely jump onto the wooden platform in front of you before lowing the water once more. Once you reach the ground level you will be able to walk underneath all of the platforms before coming to some more stones you can climb and jump across. When jumping across you will eventually need to raise the water so that you can jump across another wooden platform. Now lower the water and jump across to the shallow end of the water so that you can rock climb your way to the top of the next area.

Once you get to the top you will need to walk your way all the way to the opposite end of the hill. There will be a small platform at the end of this hill that you you will need to run up to trigger another cut scene and end the level. (Memory 5/5: Before walking up the path to this small platform and ending the level, walk around it to the right and you will eventually reach this memory)

Once the cut scene starts, the level will officially be completed and you will unlock this trophy.

Joy
Finish level 2

This trophy is story related and cannot be missed. You will unlock this trophy after successfully competing Level 2.

Level 2 of this game is known as “Joy”. You will start off in a sunny area right next to a small stone statue. Another trophy that is earned in this level is Gold Bubble Addict. You can view the respective trophy for more information on how to earn it.

Level 2: Joy Walk-through and Collectibles:
(Memory 1/8: Walk toward the screen and up the hill to the right. You will find it sitting on a stone at the top of this hill) Continue under the small archway ahead of you and go down the water slide into the next area. You will need to change the climate in order to get a bee to come by. Once it is close, you can hold to attach to the bee. Change the climate in the opposite direction so that you can jump to the new platform.

(Memory 2/8: Once on this platform the game will want you to swing to another bee. Instead hop down and follow the path to the left to find this memory) Swing from the next bee into the open tree stump to your left. Continue forward down the water slide into the next area. Continue on and you will eventually come to an area with some snail creatures. (Memory 3/8: Jump on the snail to the left of this area and change the climate so that it walks you across the pond to the left. Enter the tree stump here and jump across the stone / mushroom platforms inside to reach this one)

Use the two snails towards the back of this area to swing and jump across the platforms. You will find yourself jumping from mushroom to mushroom before having to use another bee to swing you inside an open tree stump. (Memory 4/8: Run towards the screen and you will come to a platform and a snail you need to jump on. Make the snail take you across the water to the right so you can hop on the other platform and yet another snail. Have this snail take you through the water ahead of you and you will then find this memory sitting on a final platform)

Continue where you left off and you will scale around the inside of a tree before swinging to another platform. Go down the log in front of you and you will find yourself in an open field surrounded by mushrooms. (Memory 5/8: You will see two snails to the back of this area. Hop on the bigger one and then change the climate to the left until he brings you to a mushroom you can jump on. Jump from the smaller mushroom to the bigger one and then change the climate some more to make a bee appear. Attach to the bee and change the climate one more time to the left until you come to a giant mushroom you can jump to. The memory is on top of this mushroom)

Use the snails in the back of this area to reach the mushrooms in the middle of the field. Use the bee to now take you to the right so that you can jump on some more mushrooms. From here continue to jump and swing across to a new area down the open log. Use the snails to the left of this area to jump across the mushrooms. Change the climate to the left until a bee appears and then attach yourself to it before having it bring you all the way to the right, and into the new area. Continue on through the log and into the next area.

(Memory 6/8: You will come to a small stone you need to jump and to reach a snail. Jump on the snail and then have it bring you across the water to the right. Here you can reach the memory by jumping across the 2 mushrooms and onto the structure there) There will be a bee in this area that you can attach yourself to. Have it bring you to the top of the log to your left, and then you will be able to jump across all the mushrooms and swing your way into the next area. Walk up the log and you will then trigger a short cut scene.

In this area you will need to use the bees to swing you across the platforms. Continue this and you will eventually come to a bee that you will need to jump to from a wall that you are rock climbing. (Memory 7/8: Have the Bee bring you down instead of up. The memory is down below on this platform) Have the bee bring you upwards so that you can rock climb your way into the next area. This area is a giant sunflower field in which you must use the bees to help you navigate through.

You will have to navigate this area with the help of the bees as well as using your climate control powers to change the direction in which the sunflowers are pointing so that you can jump across them. Keep doing this and eventually you will come to a tree stump that you will need to scale upwards. (Memory 8/8: Scale this tree stump downwards until you are able to go inside the tree. The memory is inside here) Once at the top of the tree, jump across the wooden plank onto another sunflower and have the bee there take you all the way to a platform in the distance.

Here you will need to use the sunflowers, a bee, and spiderweb like bounce pads to reach the next area. Once you reach the top, go inside and you will realize you will need to use the bounce pads to continue going upwards. Eventually you will find yourself back outside as you continue to scale up this tree with the pads. Once you find yourself at the very top you will eventually come to a platform with nowhere else to go. Use your climate change until a red kit appears above you that you can attach to. Once connected to the kite simply have it take you all the way away until you trigger a cut scene.

Once you trigger the cut scene, the level will be completed and the trophy will be unlocked.

(Memory 3/9: Here you will notice a piece of a bridge above falls when you use your ability. When the piece of bridge is close enough to jump onto, hold and jump onto it. Bring it all the way up and you will see the memory to the right) Here you will need to use the falling piece of the bridge to jump across to the platform across from you. Once on this platform, jump on top of this piece of debris and bring yourself as high up as you can go so that you can reach the rock climbing wall. Climb up the first wall and you will trigger a cut scene. Continue forward and you will have to jump across 2 rocks. On the second rock, let yourself go down so that you can jump to the ledge below you to the right, (Memory 7/9: Instead of continuing forward, use the log to reach the ledge above you. Continue using this log and the rock climbing walls and you will eventually get to the top. Here you will need to swing to the log to reach the other side where you will find this memory)

Move on and you will see there are two platforms you need to form / jump across to get to the ledge on the other side. Use your abilities to reverse / fast forward time to do so. Upon rock climbing to the top op the second platform you will swing your way across to the other side. Go up this path and you will trigger the next cut scene. (Memory 8/9: Jump across the gap to the left and instead of going upwards, climb the rock wall at the bottom of the screen. Once down here you will need to lower yourself on a piece of debris before jumping across some stones to reach this memory)

Keep playing and you will eventually run across a log. (Memory 9/9: After passing the log you will see 2 pieces of debris. One takes you upwards and one takes you down. Step on the one that brings you downwards and it will bring you right to this memory) Go onto the piece of debris that takes you upwards and you will see that there are two more ledges you have to form to take you up even higher. Level 9 is known as “Old”. You will start the level in a very bright and colorful area with trees around you. Another trophy that is earned in this level is Silver Warm guy. You can view the respective trophy for more information on how to earn it.

Level 9: Old Walk-through and Collectibles:
As soon as you start this level, run forward across the water and you will trigger a short cut scene. (Memory 1/6: Right after this cut scene, follow the path to the left and you will find this memory sitting behind a rock) Run through the cave to the right and out into the next area to trigger another cut scene. Here you will notice it is now freezing out, and you will die if spend too much time in the cold without warming up at the fires along the way. (Memory 2/6: As soon as you jump down into this area, run towards the screen and you will find this memory in front of a little ramp like platform you will have to jump from to get it)

Jump across the ice blocks to get to the next area where you are greeted by a lantern. Continue on to the next lantern where you will have to raise the snow to climb the rock wall nearby. (Memory 3/6: Before climbing the rock wall, run to the lantern to your left. Here you will need to jump across the ice and run behind the water fall to reach a log that takes you to this memory right above the lantern) Climb up the rock wall and then run to the next lantern to trigger another cut scene. You will need to swing across a couple of platforms to get to the next area.

After melting the snow above a branch you can latch to, you will come to another lantern. (Memory 4/6: Once at this lantern you need to raise the snow so you can reach the area below you. Once you get down, continue running towards the screen / to the left and you you will see this memory behind some ice) Moving forwards you will need to use more snow and swinging to get to the next few areas of this level. You will eventually have to run across a very large / curvy piece of ice. Jump down into the next area after this to trigger another cut scene.

From here you will jump to an area below in which you must get rid of all the snow to reveal a cave in the distance, as well as a lantern in the middle of this open area. (Memory 5/6: Run to the lantern in the middle of this area. Once her, raise the snow all the way and it will take you right to a memory sitting in the tree to your left) You will come to an area in which you need to jump across a bunch of ice to get through. (Memory 6/6: Located right next to the lantern in the far right. Jump across the ice to reach this one. You might need to stop at the lantern to the left first so that you can get warm again)

You will need to jump across all of the ice to reach the next area. Here you will need to rope swing to another platform in which you must rock climb to reach the nearby lantern. Continue on and you will soon trigger a cut scene.  Now you will need to continuously raise / lower the snow to get through this next part. Once you get to the lantern that you reach by making the snow go as high as possible, you are almost done. From here you will see a tree stump to your left. Lower the snow all the way so that you can run through it. Once inside you can raise the snow to reach the final area of the level.

From here you will just need to continue to walk in a straight path past all of the sorrows. Continue to walk and you will eventually trigger a cut scene and end the level. Once the cut scene is triggered, the level will end and you will unlock this trophy.

Hope
Finish level 10

This trophy is story related and cannot be missed. You will unlock this trophy after successfully competing Level 10.

Level 10 is known as “Hope”. You will start the level in a very dark area that is only lit by the small bug in front of you. Another trophy that is earned in this level is Silver Caring Partner. You can view the respective trophy for more information on how to earn it.

Level 10: Hope Walk-through and Collectibles:
Play the level as you would normally while following the little bug creature that emits light. Keep following it and you will eventually climb up a few platforms to reach the next area. You will soon drop down into the next area. (Memory 1/4: The bug will want you to keep going forward however, this memory is located all the way to the right of this area on a small platform. You can reach it, but it will be hard to see as there will be very little light) Continue climbing up all of the platforms here to reach the next area.

Here you will need to climb a rock wall before swinging to a platform on your right. Continue on and you will have to run across a few pieces of curvy ice. After this you will come to a rock wall the you need to jump to before being able to grab onto it and climb it. Keep moving forward / following the bug until you come to the first platform the you jump forwards (away from the screen) to reach. (Memory 2/4: From here there will be a platform to the right you can jump to. Once on this platform head towards the screen, and jump to a final platform this memory is sitting on. It will be dark, but you will be able to see it)

Continue on and you will eventually take a rope swing to a platform above. From here you will need to jump to another rock climbing wall you must climb, before reaching yet another rock climb wall. After climbing this wall you will soon drop down a platform. (Memory 3/4: As soon as you drop down this platform, go to your right and you will see a rock climb wall. This time climb down the wall to reach the memory below) Jump to your left and you will continue to jump a few more platforms while following the bug until you come to an open woods area.

Continue following the bug until it eventually veers off to the right where you see a small stream of water and a patch of snow. (Memory 4/4: Jump across the stream and you will see this collectible to the right, between some trees) Continue to follow the bug and it will soon have you running across your screen from left to right while showcasing some of the statues you have encountered in the game. After this, you will trigger a cut scene and the level will end.

As soon as the cut scene is triggered, the level will be completed and the trophy will unlock.

You may have noticed there is now a new light in the distance at the top of this mountain that was not there prior to completing level 10. Walk up to this light and you will trigger a cut scene.

As soon as this cut scene starts, the game will have officially been completed and you will unlock this trophy.

Gone with the wind upscale-245262160018212
Touch 200 dandelions

This trophy is earned after touching 200 dandelions.

Level 1: She
Unlike the other level specific trophies, this trophy does not specify which level it has to be done in. This trophy can only be earned on the first level “She”. During this level you will be able to change the season from winter to spring. You do this by using the stick and pushing it from left to right. Dandelions will only appear on grassy platforms, and only when it is fully spring. Push the stick all the way to the right to do this.

Once it is spring, you will notice two types of flowers appear. Normal white ones that do nothing, and then dandelions that will flow away after you run into them. You will need to keep an eye out for them as they tend to blend in pretty well with the other flowers. You will need to walk into / touch at least 200 dandelions to unlock this trophy. There are more than 200 in the level so take your time and run around all the grassy areas before continuing.

You should be able to get this trophy through playing the level once if you are thoroughly looking for them. The good news is that if you finish the level without unlocking the trophy, the game will track your progress and you can replay the level while continuing where you left off. So if you touched 190 dandelions during your first play/plays of the level, you can simply replay the level and touch 10 more to get the trophy.

As soon as you have touched 200 dandelions on level 1 “She”, you will unlock this trophy.

Bubble addict Gold
Explode 100 drew drops on Level 2

This trophy is earned after exploding 100 drew drops on level 2.

Level 2: Joy
Drew drops are the blue circular drops of water the explode when you run into them. You will need to explode at least 100 of them in chapter 2 to get this trophy. While playing through the level you will notice the dew drops scattered all around. There is hundreds of them on the map so destroying only 100 of them should not be too difficult. If you are exploding them as you go, you will unlock this trophy a little more than half way through the level.

Keep in mind that all 100 dew drops do not need to be done in a single play of the level. This means if you happen to not get the trophy during you initial play through, (which is highly unlikely) you can simply play the level again to continue where you left off. As stated there are way more than 100 dew drops on the level, and you really dont need to go out of your way to get them. Also note that there are some that are impossible to get to and are just there for show, so do not stress out if you can’t get to them.

There are also two points in this level where you go down a water slide. Stick to one side of the slide instead of going right down the middle and you should have about 30 dew drops from that alone. Just play the level as you would normally, and destroy the dew drops as you come to them. If you on’t have the trophy after playing through the level 1 time, simply replay it once more and the trophy is sure to be yours. After you have successfully exploded 100 dew drops in level 2 “Joy”, the trophy will be unlocked.

Bushman upscale-245262160018212
Step on 50 passable bushes on Level 3

This trophy is earned after stepping on 50 passable bushed in level 3.

Level 3: Away
During this level you will notice green bushes scattered throughout the entire level. Most of them will be along the sides of the cliffs, or scattered around the trees. There will also be some bushes that you automatically land in after swinging from ropes, or jumping from platform to platform. They are green bushes that move around when you run through them.

The bushes serve no purpose whatsoever other than to get this trophy. If you search the level thoroughly as you play, then you will unlock this trophy near the very end of it. The good news is that bushes you travel through upon completing a level are saved, and will carry over the next time you play the level. This means if you are only able to step on 25 bushes the first time you play the level, you only need to to step on 25 more the next time you play the level.

You are not able to run through the same bush over and over, or restart the checkpoints to run through the same bushes over again. If you happen to not get this trophy the first time around, simply play the level one more time and you will likely unlock this trophy. After you have successfully stepped on 50 passable bushes on level 3 “Away”, you will unlock this trophy.

Sorrow upscale-245262160018212
Finish level 4 without being touched by a single sorrow

This trophy is earned after finishing level 4 without being touched by a single sorrow.

Level 4: Alone
This is the first chapter where you are introduced to the sorrow enemies. Sorrows will be in groups of what seems like hundreds, and come towards you in herds at a time. When they touch you a purple aura will appear around the sorrow and yourself, and the sorrow that touched you will also permanently disappear. You will need to complete the entire level without getting touched by a sorrow. This is the hardest trophy in the game.

It is best to attempt this trophy after previously completing the level that way you are able to familiarize yourself with the correct path to completing the level. Sorrows are the black enemies with bright eyes that will vanish upon the appearance of lightning. You will be introduced to them upon climbing the rock wall at the start of the level. The bad news is that only some of them will vanish when lighting appears while others will stay put and continue to chase you.

You will need to familiarize yourself with which ones disappear and which ones do not. so you can optimize your route. To the ones that do not vanish, you can just jump and run around them. You will be doing a lot of jumping around to easily jump over the sorrows and avoid their touches. You can control the lightning with the stick. Once you see the sorrows vanish, you can pause the time with so that they do not come back. The sorrows that have vanished will remain this way until you let go of the button.

Keep in mind that slowing down time does not work on sorrows. They will continue to chase you even when you have paused the time. It is also important to note that if a sorrow has touched you, you cannot simply restart checkpoint as the game will still register that you were touched. If you get touched, you will have to start the level from scratch. It is also okay if you happen to die as long as it is not to the touch of a sorrow. Deaths will not lock you out of the trophy. The smartest thing to do if you are about to get touched is simply restart the checkpoint. As long as you do not get touched prior to restarting the checkpoint, you will be fine.

Between jumping around the sorrows as well as vanishing them with the lightning, you will get the hang of it eventually an get this trophy. Simply complete level 4 “alone” without getting touched by a sorrow, and you will unlock this trophy.

Purple hater upscale-245262160018212
Finish level 5 without stepping on a single purple flower

This trophy is earned after finishing level 5 without stepping on a single purple flower.

Level 5: Romance
To get to the end of level 5 you will be jumping across many flowers and lily pads. On top of this, you will also be flowing through the air within colorful and sparkly streams. To get this trophy you must simply get through the entire level without using any of the purple flowers. There are only pink and purple flowers in this level, and they are very easy to tell apart. There is also less than 10 purple flowers in the entire level, where there is nearly 50+ pink ones.

Most of the routes in this game are actually easier by taking the pink flower route anyways. If you happen to step on a purple flower at any point while playing this level, you will have to restart the level from the beginning as restarting the checkpoint will not work. If you mange to pause your game before landing on the purple flower, then restarting checkpoint will work but you will have to be very quick to do so.

Just take your time. You should not have too much trouble getting this trophy as it is one of the easiest level specific trophies in the game. You can jump on lily pads freely as they will not neglect you from earning this trophy. You can also die/fall in the water as much as you please as that wont lock you out of the trophy either. Simply complete Level 5 “Romance” without stepping on a single purple flower, and you will unlock this trophy.

Bouncer Gold
Perform 100 jumps on jump pads on Level 6

This trophy is earned after performing 100 jumps on jump pads.

Level 6: Fruit
Jump pads will be introduced to you mid way through this level. They are circular bouncy platforms that will launch you up high when jumping on them with the button. This is probably the easiest of all of the level specific trophies because you can earn this trophy simply by jumping repeatedly on the first bounce pad that you come to. There is not 100 bounce pads on this level so you will have to earn this trophy by bouncing on the same jump pads up to 100 times, or playing through the level 2-3 times as the game counts your progress through all your level plays.

The bounce pads can take some getting used to. If you happen to die a lot then you might actually get this trophy through natural play as the game also tracks progress if you die. The only thing to keep in mind as that it will only count the jumps you do by pressing the button when you come in contact with the bounce pad. Just continuously jumping up and down on the same jump pad will be enough to unlock this trophy.

After you have successfully performed 100 jumps on jump pads in level 6 “Fruit”, you will unlock this trophy.

Fire safety Gold
Finish level 7 without touching fire once

This trophy is earned after completing level 7 without touching the fire.

Level 7: Ashes
Ashes is a level that consists of fire and sorrow enemies. You will need to get through the entire level without coming in contact with any of the fire that you are able to take control of. You will know when the fire touches you because your screen will quickly flash red. You control the fire just like you control your surroundings in any level with the stick.

If you end up getting touched by the fire, simply restarting the checkpoint will not work. You will have to start the level from the very beginning. You are however able to die from the sorrows as well as die from falling without locking you out from the trophy. The only thing that will lock you out is coming in contact with any of the fire that you control. If it touches you, simply exit to Limbo and re launch the level to try again.

The trickiest part about this level is when you have to use the rope to hang from a plant above you while controlling the fire below you. You will need to swing on the branch and make the fire flow beneath you to the left without it coming in contact with you. You can slow down time as always with the button to help time your move, but it will still be tricky to pull off.

To make things even harder, while attempting to void the fire there will be sorrow enemies to deal with as well. Although they can touch you without locking you out of the trophy, it is still a pain as you will need to get close to the fire in order to vanish the sorrows in your path. After swinging across the branch you will only have one more area of this level that involves fire. After this you will soon come to a large rock wall you need to climb. (There is not more fire here so you are in the clear)

Simply climb to the top to trigger the cut scene and end the level. If you got to this point without touching any of the fire, you will unlock this trophy.

Gravity master upscale-245262160018212
Finish level 8 without dying

This trophy is earned after completing level 8 without dying.

Level 8: Solace
This level will take place up in space, and you will be tasked with making it to the end of the level without having a single death. There will be little to no gravity on this level as you are up in space, and there will be a lot of jumping involved to get to the end of the level. You will be using your rope to pull platforms together the entire level to make your way to the end.

The good news is that if you know you are about to fail a jump or die, you can simply restart the checkpoint before dying and the game will put you back at the most recent checkpoint and not lock you out of the trophy. This is extremely helpful as it makes this trophy almost impossible to fail on your first attempt as you can just restart checkpoint every time you know you are about to miss a jump.

Just take your time before jumping, and be sure you know where you are going / landing to avoid over jumping. The trickiest parts of this level are when you are going through the air streams, or running across the circular platforms while rotating them so that you can latch to the trees. There is also a part near the end of the level where you can fall into a body of water if you miss your jumps or fall off the flower.

You should not have too much trouble with this trophy as you are able to manipulate it by restarting checkpoint when need be. If you do happen to die, you will need to restart the level from the beginning. After you get to the end and pull the two statues together, the level will be completed. If you complete the level without a single death, you will get this trophy.

Finish level 9 without dying of cold

This trophy is earned after you have successfully completed level 9 without dying of cold.

Level 9: Old
Level 9 consists of you running through a blizzard type level with snow, wind, and ice. Your mind will be put to the test as you will need to both raise and lower the height of the snow to get through certain parts of this area. To make matters worse, you cannot sit in the cold for too long otherwise you will die. There will be lanterns scattered across the entire level that you will need to be in the vicinity of to warm up.

To get this trophy you must make it through the entire level without dying from the “cold”. Once you are out in the cold for too long, your screen will start to freeze and your controller will start to vibrate. Once your controller starts vibrating you have about 3-5 more seconds before you die from cold, and you must find a lantern to warm up. It is best to have played the level once before so that you know the direct path to take to beat the level.

The good news is, you are able to die by other means such as falling in the water when jumping across the ice, or just dying from fall damage. This makes this trophy easier as now you are only worried about dying from strictly the cold. To make things even easier, if you are about to die from the cold you can simply pause your game and restart the checkpoint. This will put you at the last lantern you made it to, and it will not lock you out of getting the trophy.

It is best to plan your next move at each lantern you get to. Know exactly where you are going before leaving one lantern to go to the next. Just keep in mind that you are able to die from absolutely anything aside from the cold, so don’t be worried if you die from falling in the water because it will likely happen. Just play the level as you would normally while restarting checkpoint if at any time you come close to dying from the cold.

As soon as you complete level 9 “Old” without dying from cold, you will unlock this trophy.

Finish level 10 without dying

This trophy is earned after you have successfully completed level 10 without dying.

Level 10: Hope

Hope is the last level of the game and you will have to get through the entire level without dying. To make things worse, it is an extremely dark level with the only light you have coming from a bug that flies around. You can control which direction the bug flies with . There will be times where you will need to make the bug come in reverse or go forwards to see where it is you need to go. You can also slow it down with .

The level as stated is extremely dark which makes things trickier. Luckily, the level can be beaten in just 3-5 minutes so it is not very long. The trickiest parts to keep in mind while playing are when you are running across the thin / curvy ice, as well as when you are having to jump to the rock climbing walls. Just take your time while you are playing, and be sure you know where it is you are walking/jumping before doing so.

Be extremely patient while going through the level. Keep in mind the sometimes the bug will need to go pretty far to loop back around where you need him to be. Once you drop down to the lower levels and start following the bug through the dark forest, you are in the clear. There is about another minute or so left of the level and there is no way you can die unless you run out into the big body of water for some reason.

The good news is that if you are about to die, you can simply restart checkpoint if you are quick enough to do so. If you manage to restart the checkpoint before you die, you will not be locked out of the trophy. This will come in handy if you think you are about to fall off of the ice, or simply miss a platform jump. Upon triggering the final cut scene of the level, this trophy will unlock.

Simply complete level 10 “Hope” without a single death, and you will unlock this trophy.

Always together
Activate co-op play

This trophy is earned after you have successfully activated co-op play.

To earn this trophy it is required that you either have a second controller, or a friend that can help you via share play. Unlike most games, you are not able to switch profiles with one controller to earn this trophy. Once you have activated a second controller or have a friend in share play, head to the main menu of the game.

Have player 2 press any button on their controller to activate themselves and be in the game with you. Once this is done simply hit the continue game or new game option to launch the game with both of you. As soon as the game loads, you will be put into the world of Arise with both players and you will unlock this trophy. You can also activate co-op mode while playing the game simply by pausing it and activating their controller.

As soon as you are both in the game, co-op mode will have successfully been activated and you will unlock this trophy.
